Tillträde Tillträde enligt överenskommelse. Arbetsbeskrivning Som doktorand vid den nybildade institutionen för rättsvetenskap har du en viktig aktiv roll i uppbyggnaden av forskningsmiljön. Doktoranderna deltar aktivt i nationell och internationell forskningsverksamhet. Den anställde förväntas ha hög närvaro på arbetsplatsen. Forskarutbildningen i rättsvetenskap omfattar 240 högskolepoäng, vilket motsvarar fyra års heltidsstudier. Utbildningen avslutas med att doktoranden försvarar sin doktorsavhandling vid en offentlig disputation. Den som anställts som doktorand ska ägna sig åt sin egen forskarutbildning. Bestämmelser om anställning som doktorand finns i Högskoleförordningen 5 kap 1-7 §§. Som en del av forskarutbildningen ska doktoranden genomföra nödvändiga kurser enligt överenskommelse med handledarna. Deltagande i nationella och internationella kurser och konferenser uppmuntras och stöds. Högskoleförordningen anger att den som är anställd som doktorand främst ska ägna sig åt sin egen utbildning. En doktorand får dock i begränsad omfattning arbeta med utbildning och administration. Sådant arbete får, innan doktorsexamen har avlagts, inte omfatta mer än 20 % av full arbetstid. Behörighetskrav För behörighet som forskarstuderande krävs att såväl grundläggande som särskild behörighet är uppfyllda. I enlighet med 7 kap. 35 § högskoleförordning (1993:100), krävs också att den sökande bedöms ha sådan förmåga i övrigt som behövs för att tillgodogöra sig utbildningen. Grundläggande behörighet regleras i högskoleförordning (1993:100). Särskild behörighet att antas till utbildningen på forskarnivå i rättsvetenskap för doktors- eller licentiatexamen har den som har en juristexamen, juris kandidatexamen eller en rättsvetenskaplig magisterexamen, eller har en magisterexamen och har genomfört ett självständigt arbete på avancerad nivå om minst 15 hp (högskolepoäng) inom rättsvetenskap, samtidigt som den har nödvändiga språkkunskaper som betingas av utbildningen. Särskild behörighet har också den som kan åberopa annan genomgången utbildning eller särskild yrkeserfarenhet, om utbildningen och/eller yrkeserfarenheten bedöms ge en kompetens i ämnet för utbildningen på forskarnivå, som är likvärdig med den ovan angivna utbildningen. Project description The doctoral student will be part of the research project COAST PFAS – Coastal PFAS Transition Lab for Source Control, Substitution and Governance, a transdisciplinary initiative addressing the spread of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from urban and industrial sources to coastal environments. The project combines environmental analytical chemistry, wastewater and stormwater research, process understanding, and systems perspectives to support preventive and sustainable PFAS management. The PhD project is connected to the work package PFAS flows from land to sea, which focuses on identifying, mapping, and quantifying PFAS sources and transport pathways in urban water systems and coastal environments. The research will include targeted and non-targeted PFAS analysis in wastewater, stormwater, industrial effluents, and receiving waters. The research will also include the development of sector-specific PFAS fingerprints and mass-balance approaches. The doctoral student will work with advanced analytical methods including LC-MS/MS, combustion ion chromatography, extractable organofluorine (EOF), oxidation methods for PFAS precursors, and high-resolution mass spectrometry for suspect and non-target screening. The work also includes interpretation of large analytical datasets and integration of results into source-tracking and fate-assessment frameworks. The project is conducted in close collaboration between IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute, Chalmers University of Technology, Örebro University, VA SYD, and Malmö City. Start date: Autumn semester 2026. Project description To invest in stocks or some other fluctuating commodity requires, in most cases, some mathematical model of risk, return (profit), or utility (some balance between risk and return). A classical model goes back to 1952 and Markowitz. Later, more advanced models go under the name Modern Portfolio Theory. Those models may be ill-posed, meaning that changes in data might result in very different investment strategies. One such example of ill-posedness is when some of the commodities are highly correlated. This project is about analyzing such ill-posed portfolio optimization and developing stable and efficient algorithms for solving them.
