About the Role You will join a newly established Business Development and Strategy function within R&D at a global manufacturer in the commercial vehicle industry. In this role, you will help shape how brand-specific products and customer experiences are developed, while strengthening the financial governance needed to support growth and transformation. The assignment combines strategy, finance, and operational follow-up in a complex cross-functional environment. You will work closely with senior R&D leadership and stakeholders across business, finance, and development to turn strategic direction into clear priorities, solid plans, and better decision support. Job DescriptionYou will drive strategic business development initiatives that support the continued transformation of the R&D organization. You will lead and coordinate financial planning activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and follow-up. You will contribute to strategic finance initiatives and help improve financial governance across the organization. You will support senior stakeholders with analysis, prioritization, and decision material tied to business performance and strategic direction. You will strengthen collaboration between R&D, finance, and business functions to enable more effective cross-functional ways of working. You will support strategy PMO activities and help structure follow-up of strategic initiatives together with commercial stakeholders. You will manage and further develop the R&D management system as part of the broader governance framework. You will use analytical, data, and AI-related capabilities to create insights that support planning and performance. RequirementsExperience working with strategic business development in a complex organization. Experience with financial governance and financial planning, including budgeting and forecasting. Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into actionable decision support. Data and AI-related skills relevant to business performance and strategic development. Ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders across R&D, finance, and business functions. Experience supporting prioritization, follow-up, and execution of strategic initiatives. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Lead to own and advance SCALINQ’s financial planning, reporting, and control functions. In this role, you will partner closely with management and cross-functional teams to ensure robust financial governance, prepare business decisions, and enable scalable growth. This position requires strong accounting and financial planning experience, a hands-on mindset, and the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights. The role includes: Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and long-range plans to support strategic decision-making Own budgeting and variance analysis processes; provide timely insights and recommendations to leadership Oversee cash flow management, treasury activities, and working capital optimization Manage month-end and year-end close processes and coordinate with external auditors Design and implement internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk Partner with cross-functional teams (R&D, operations, sales, HR) to align financial priorities with business objectives Lead and develop finance routines, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture Required Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent ~5 years of progressive finance experience, including financial reporting, FP&A, and audit Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with financial controls Experience in high-growth technology or deep-tech companies, preferably hardware or R&D-focused organizations Proven ability to build financial models and produce timely, accurate forecasts Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to non-financial stakeholders Fluency in professional Swedish and English, spoken and written Combines clarity of focus with a dynamic approach, excelling in high-velocity settings that require both strategic pivoting and confident, timely decision-making.
