About the Team: Rocket Travel by Agoda is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our growing accounting team. In this role, you’ll work closely with our team to oversee general accounting duties related to month-end close, AP/AR processing, treasury function, and other ad-hoc requests. This is a Chicago-based contract position slated for a minimum of 9 months (with possible extension). AS AN ACCOUNTING MANAGER AT ROCKET TRAVEL, YOU WILL: * Oversee the monthly and year-end close process. This individual will oversee closing entries and review the close task list in an accurate and timely manner. Perform high-level review of B/S and P/L accounts with the Controller to ensure financial statement completeness and accuracy * Manage monthly account reconciliation process for B/S accounts and corresponding journal entries * Assist our Risk & Controls Manager in implementing our SOX Readiness plan and documenting procedures accordingly. Help with our Salesforce Optimization project by implementing best practices and metrics for the teamReview and approve journal entries by team members to ensure that items are accurately recorded and correct in the final financial statement impactOversee timely processing and reconciliation of invoices. This individual will review wire/ACH payments, review wire templates, and oversee weekly cash reconciliations. * Review A/R invoices and account statements.
