You see software development and team organization not as a rigid set of rules, but as a craft that deserves better tools. You
want to design complex, data-rich productivity platforms where information architecture is a first-class problem, and you want to
rethink how humans work alongside AI. If you are a designer who values hands-on craft, hates unnecessary bureaucracy, and wants
the autonomy to build a team's design process from scratch, this role was built for you.
We create intelligent software development tools for developers and teams. More than 15 million users, over 300,000 companies, and
88 of the Fortune Global Top 100 companies rely on our products to solve real, complex problems. Our mission is simple: make
development teams more productive and AI adoptable at scale.
YouTrack handles serious complexity – agile boards, backlogs, knowledge bases, helpdesks, and deeply customizable workflows –
across teams from two-person startups to global enterprises. We’re at a point where the category's oldest assumptions are worth
reconsidering. Issue tracking has relied on the same foundational blocks for years, but AI opens an opportunity to rethink how
software can actively help teams get work done.
We need a Lead Product Designer to shape where project management goes next while keeping a massive, mature surface area coherent,
legible, and a pleasant to use. In this role, you’ll lead a small design team of two designers, own the overall design quality bar
across the product, and act as an individual contributor on our hardest, least-charted problems. You’ll build a fresh design
process from scratch with the full backing of a team lead who respects craft and values professional judgment.

Success means earning the trust of your team and peers through sound interaction choices and clear systemic improvements. You will
establish a reliable critique rhythm and a structured way of working that helps your designers grow. Within your first few months,
delivering clear patterns for our AI capabilities, paying down accumulated UX debt, and ensuring YouTrack remains both deep and
remarkably quick on its feet.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

WARUM DIESE ROLLE? Small and medium businesses are the backbone of the German economy. Yet most of them manage their finances by hand, across disconnected systems, with tools built for large enterprises. We want to change that. As part of the cooperative banking group, we reach a customer base across Germany that few startups can match. We are among the first to bring AI-driven financial products to this segment at real scale. What we are missing is the person who turns strategy into a shipped product. Our product manager sets the direction. Features then need someone who breaks them down, refines them with the team, and carries them to release. That is the gap you fill. DEINE MISSION You turn our product strategy into a prioritized roadmap, sharp user stories, and shipped features. You work daily with the product manager, lead engineer, engineers, and designer. You own the path from idea to release. DEINE AUFGABEN From strategy to deliverables * Translate business goals into a prioritized roadmap, epics, and actionable user stories * Write clear user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria * Prioritize the backlog and make trade-off decisions on scope versus timelines * Bring solution proposals backed by industry research Sprint execution * Prepare and run sprint planning and deep refinement sessions * Manage the Jira board and keep delivery visible for everyone * Solve daily questions directly with the lead engineer, engineers, and designer Quality * Define test cases and validate features before release * Run manual QA at first, then automate it step by step Data and automation * Pull your own data with SQL and build the dashboards you need * Define and track product metrics: KPIs, funnels, retention * Automate repetitive processes with AI and no-code tools where it creates value WAS DICH ERWARTET * A small team where each person takes full ownership and delivers autonomously * Startup pace with the backing and reach of a major banking group * Deliberate, growing use of AI, judged only by the value it creates for customers and for us * New technologies arrive fast, and we expect everyone to pick them up quickly * Structures are still forming, and you help build them DEIN PROFIL Must-haves: * 2+ years as a Product Owner or in a similar product role in fintech * Independent data work: SQL for your own queries, dashboards you build and maintain, product metrics you define and track * German language skills (min C1) Nice-to-haves: * Understanding of how AI products are built * Experience with user research, A/B testing, and experimentation * Understanding of APIs and how systems integrate * Experience with automation and no-code tools such as Zapier or n8n DEINE ENTWICKLUNG After 30 days: * You have internalized our strategy, product structure, and product history, and know where we want to take the product next * You know the product end to end, you know the Jira and tooling setup, and you have shadowed a full sprint cycle * You have working relationships with the product manager, lead engineer, designer, and engineers After 90 days: * You take larger strategy items, split them into deliverables, refine them, and plan sprints without support * You write clear user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria, independently * You own the sprint and the backlog and make the scope-versus-timeline calls * You run manual QA and define test cases before every release After 180 days: * You own one or more product areas end to end, from strategy translation through delivery and release * You track product metrics through dashboards you built, on data you pulled yourself * You proactively bring solutions backed by industry research and user insight * You have started automating repetitive work in QA, reporting, and workflows with AI and no-code tools If you want to own product delivery rather than administer a backlog, we should talk.
ABOUT FINMID finmid's mission is to enable software companies to reimagine how their business customers access capital. By productizing the complexity of financial services, finmid empowers companies to offer financial services where FinTech isn't the mission but enables the mission. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY finmid powers embedded financing across ~30 European markets — so far with almost no marketing. What's proven to work for us is authentic, founder-led content: short videos and PR features that show real people and the real impact our product has on SME growth. What we're missing is the creative engine behind it: someone who can turn what we do into a constant stream of engaging content. That's this role. You'll own top-of-funnel content end-to-end, with our co-founder's LinkedIn as your primary distribution channel. You'll work directly with the founders, ship on a weekly cadence, measure what converts into pipeline, and build the content foundation the company scales on. You won't manage anyone or anything except outcomes — this is a role for a creator-operator, not a coordinator. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL * Own finmid's top-of-funnel content strategy and calendar, with founder-led LinkedIn short-form video as the core channel * Produce short videos end-to-end: ideate, script, shoot, edit, and publish — real content featuring real people, not polished corporate ads * Act as producer and ghostwriter for our founders: extract insights, sharpen points of view, and write in their voice * Turn customer and partner stories into content that shows how embedded financing drives economic growth for SMEs * Repurpose everything into website content and assets our sales team uses in cold outreach: case studies, one-pagers, and video snippets * Coordinate PR around the founders and our partnerships: own partnership announcements, pitch and book podcasts and articles, prep the appearances, and repurpose the output — and manage external agencies as we scale * Collaborate with our designer, who owns finmid's brand, to keep everything you ship sharp and on-brand * Connect content to revenue: wire attribution into our CRM and report what's actually driving pipeline WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL * 4+ years creating content for B2B audiences; fintech, SaaS, or financial services experience is a bonus * A portfolio of short-form videos you personally shot and edited that performed — on LinkedIn, ideally, or TikTok/YouTube/Instagram * Experience producing or ghostwriting for a founder or executive * Sharp writing and storytelling in English: you make complex products simple without dumbing them down * Comfort behind the camera and, when needed, in front of it * A performance mindset: you track what works, form hypotheses, and iterate; CRM experience (e.g. HubSpot) is a plus * Judgment for content in a regulated industry — you know when to loop in legal * A shipping habit: you hold a cadence without being managed to it * Based in Berlin or able to be here regularly — filming with the founders is a weekly part of the job BENEFITS * We see ourselves as “distributed first” (i.e. work from anywhere) but also have a beautiful office in Berlin where you can work * We are flexible and cover whatever you need to be as productive as possible * Home office stipend * 30 days time off * Meaningful equity * Open-minded and transparent culture that includes regular get-together meetings (e.g. All Hands, Brown Bag Lunch, Offsites) We're looking for people with passion, grit, and integrity. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. We welcome diverse perspectives and people who think out of the box and aren't afraid to challenge assumptions. Join us.
ABOUT STRAVA Strava is the app for active people. With over 195 million athletes in more than 185 countries, it’s more than tracking workouts—it’s where people make progress together, from new habits to new personal bests. No matter your sport or how you track it, Strava’s got you covered. Find your crew, crush your goals, and make every effort count. Start your journey with Strava today. Our mission is simple: to motivate people to live their best active lives. We believe in the power of movement to connect and drive people forward. ABOUT THIS ROLE The Explore, Live, and Map teams build the surfaces that help athletes discover, navigate, and share their active world in real time — from route planning and turn-by-turn navigation to live activity sharing and place discovery. These are high-stakes, technically rich product areas that sit at the heart of what makes Strava essential to an athlete's day. As Manager, Product Design, you'll lead design across all three of these verticals — setting design direction, driving craft quality, developing your team of 4 designers, and partnering closely with PM and Engineering leaders across each vertical. You'll be Strava's senior design voice for these areas in London and a foundational hire for what Strava's European design hub becomes — reporting directly to the Senior Director of Product Design. We follow a flexible hybrid model that translates to more than half of your time on-site in our London office, three days per week. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Own design direction and quality across Explore, Live, and Map — setting the craft bar, making decisions at the feature and project level, and establishing a point of view on where the product should go * Stay actively in the work: give precise, substantive craft feedback, engage in design decisions at the detail level, and set the standard through your own taste and judgment — not just through management * Directly manage and develop a team of 4 Product Designers distributed across London, Chamonix, and Berlin — with a focus on craft growth, career development, and raising the quality of their output through consistent, high-quality coaching * Partner with PM and Engineering leads for each vertical — contributing to product planning, shaping scope, and ensuring design is a meaningful input to decisions early * Lead design reviews, maintaining a high bar for craft and strategic clarity across all three verticals * Establish what "good" looks like on this team — through feedback culture, explicit standards, and your own example — so quality is named, expected, and consistently raised * Represent the London design perspective in conversations with the Senior Director of Product Design and the broader global Design org * Contribute to Strava's design system, cross-functional design culture, and shared standards across the product org WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM * Demonstrated experience leading Product Design at a senior manager level (or equivalent), with a track record of managing designers and owning design direction across multiple product areas * Ability to set and articulate a clear design vision — not just reacting to what's in front of you, but establishing a point of view on where the product should go and bringing others along with it * Still in the work at a high level — you give precise, substantive craft feedback, engage in design decisions at the detail level, and set the bar through your own taste and judgment, not just through oversight * Demonstrated ability to raise craft and quality across a team — you develop others and build a culture where quality is expected, named, and consistently raised * Strong cross-functional partnership skills: you've worked alongside PM and Engineering leaders to shape product direction and you know how to hold a point of view in senior conversations * Experience with consumer product design at meaningful scale — you've worked on products that real people rely on, and you understand the responsibility that comes with that * Comfortable leading a distributed team across multiple European locations — London, Chamonix, and Berlin * Based in London or actively relocating Experience designing for mapping, navigation, real-time data, or location-based products is a plus. Experience with AI-powered product features, health and fitness products, or building design culture in a regional office is also welcome. Familiarity with Strava as a user or designer is a bonus but not required. For information on benefits, please click here. WHY JOIN US? Movement brings us together. At Strava, we’re building the world’s largest community of active people, helping them stay motivated and achieve their goals. Our global team is passionate about making movement fun, meaningful, and accessible to everyone. Whether you’re shaping the technology, growing our community, or driving innovation, your work at Strava makes an impact. When you join Strava, you’re not just joining a company—you’re joining a movement. If you’re ready to bring your energy, ideas, and drive, let’s build something incredible together. Strava builds software that makes the best part of our athletes’ days even better. Just as we’re deeply committed to unlocking their potential, we’re dedicated to providing a world-class, inclusive workplace where our employees can grow and thrive, too. We’re backed by Sequoia Capital, TCV, Madrone Partners and Jackson Square Ventures, and we’re expanding in order to exceed the needs of our growing community of global athletes. Our culture reflects our community. We are continuously striving to hire and engage teammates from all backgrounds, experiences and perspectives because we know we are a stronger team together.
