Looking for a new adventure? You’ve come to the right place.
We're an Amsterdam-based team of 90+ (and counting) with 25+ nationalities amongst us! A varied bunch of “Citizens of The World”
with a wide range of skills and hundreds of thousands of kilometers under our travel belts. And we have something important in
common (other than our very well-worn passports): We want to change the way people travel.
And that's exactly what we're doing, with the travel app to plan, track, and relive trips in a smart and beautiful way.
Polarsteps has over 20 million users already, but, for us, this is just the beginning. We have big plans for the future, and so we
need even more talented and enthusiastic people to help us on our journey.
Want to know more about us? Here you go.
We’re a small team, doing big things.
At Polarsteps, everyone, our CEO, support specialists, developers, product managers, and more, cares about design. It’s part of
our DNA and embedded in every discussion. This gives you, as a Product Designer, the opportunity to make full use of your skills
and craft your designs to perfection.
Our relatively small team consists of like-minded design enthusiasts who can geek out over the nitty-gritty details–corner radius,
shadows, colors–for hours. We are big on collaboration, challenge each other, and make meetings as fun as they are productive. We
dream big, move fast and welcome ideas, from anyone.

#LI-HYBRID #LI-YY1 At JetBrains, code is our passion. Ever since we started, back in 2000, we have strived to make the strongest, most effective developer tools on earth. By automating routine checks and corrections, our tools speed up production, freeing developers to grow, discover, and create. We are looking for a product designer to work on Air, the company's new agentic development environment. Air is a new kind of developer tool: a workspace where multiple AI agents run tasks in parallel while the developer stays in control. The product includes a native desktop app and a web-based experience, with cloud execution and collaborative workflows in the works. AI is fundamentally changing how software is built, and our goal is to design an environment that makes this shift feel natural, for both solo developers and entire engineering teams. We’re looking for someone who can lead design initiatives, own key product areas, and bring clarity and usability to complex technical workflows. Design plays a critical role in these products by helping developers stay in flow, reduce their cognitive load, and work more confidently across tools. In this role, you will: * Design and deliver high-quality user interfaces by creating wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes. * Lead large-scale initiatives from vision and strategy to execution. * Collaborate with product managers, developers, and researchers to define problems, align on goals, and ensure design solutions meet user and business needs. * Communicate design concepts and decisions to the team to promote alignment and comprehension. * Collaborate with the UX Research and Analytics team to validate ideas and create design solutions grounded in real user needs and behavioral data. * Work closely with the development team to implement and review your UI/UX solutions. * Improve design processes together with the UX team, helping with the development of our design system to maintain visual and functional consistency across the product while enabling flexibility and scale. We will be happy to have you on our team if you have: * At least 5 years of experience in UI/UX design. * Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where the product, technology, and priorities evolve quickly. * Experience designing complex functional interfaces. * A willingness to dive into complex topics related to programming. * The ability to prototype, verify, present, and provide reasoning for your UI/UX solutions. * Diligence and attention to detail. * Spoken and written English at a level sufficient for everyday communication and writing documentation. * Proactivity, independence, and strong time-management skills. * The ability to work in a team and seek feedback to improve your solutions and processes. We would be especially thrilled if you have experience: * Designing for developer-focused products or technical environments. * Designing complex functional interfaces. * Programming and working with AI. We are an equal opportunity employer We know great ideas can come from anyone, anywhere. That’s why we do our best to create an open and inclusive workplace – one that welcomes everyone regardless of their background, identity, religion, age, accessibility needs, or orientation. We process the data provided in your job application in accordance with the Recruitment Privacy Policy.
