YOUR MISSION Key Responsibilities Enterprise Applications Strategy & Portfolio Management * Define and execute the engineering applications strategy in alignment with Engineering and business priorities * Own the application portfolio roadmap, lifecycle management, and performance monitoring * Lead tool standardization and consolidation initiatives to reduce redundancy and improve efficiency * Manage vendor relationships, software licenses, and cost optimization across the tool portfolio * Identify and implement automation and AI/ML capabilities; incorporate into roadmap and team development Technical Administration & Architecture * Act as technical lead and primary owner of engineering applications; perform hands-on configuration, administration, integration, and complex troubleshooting * Administer and maintain PLM, CAD, and other platforms including server infrastructure, databases, and application layers * Configure workflows, lifecycles, business rules, and integrations to support engineering and manufacturing processes * Manage user accounts, access permissions, roles, and security policies in accordance with data classification and export control requirements * Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal operational disruption Integration & Data Management * Configure and maintain integrations between PLM, CAD and ERP systems for BOM synchronization and data traceability * Support data exchange with manufacturing execution systems and requirements management tools * Develop and maintain automated data migration scripts and system interfaces * Ensure data integrity, proper file structure hierarchies, naming conventions, and change management workflows Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement * Coordinate and mentor a small team; define scope, track progress, and escalate risks * Partner with Engineering, configuration management, and manufacturing to align tools to process needs and manage expectations * Drive tool awareness, training, and adoption across the organization * Serve as a trusted enterprise systems advisor to Engineering and IT leadership * Develop and deliver training materials and ensure effective support in coordination with IT YOUR PROFILE Education * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field (or equivalent experience). Experience * Minimum 3 years of experience in enterprise applications, engineering systems, or related technical areas; 2+ years directly supporting engineering environments (PLM, CAD, collaboration tools). * Proven track record of hands-on system administration and integration in aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing industries. * Experience with tool portfolio management, vendor negotiations, and license optimization. * Proven track record of supporting engineering organizations in product development environments. Technical Skills * Strong background in application architecture, administration, integrations, and development. Proficiency with PLM platforms (e.g., Teamcenter) and CAD/ALM tools (e.g., NX, Altium, Jira, Polarion). * Experience integrating with ERP, manufacturing tools, and relational databases (e.g. SQL). * Familiar with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Shell) for automation. * Exposure to cloud platforms, cybersecurity practices, and regulated data environments. * Exposure to AI/ML and advanced analytics is a plus. Industry Knowledge * Understanding of product development processes in aerospace or regulated industries. * Familiar with engineering change management, configuration management, and BOM structures. YOUR MISSION Key Tasks * Mechanical Design: Design and develop mechanical systems for unmanned helicopters, with a focus on structural components, landing gear, propulsion systems, and control mechanisms. Experience with either composite structures (layups) or rotating machinery (rotor heads, turbines or propellers) is a must. * Composite and Structural Analysis and Simulation: Proven expertise in composite materials to optimize weight, strength and durability. Perform basic mechanical analysis and simulations (e.g., hand calculations, or simplified finite element analysis) to evaluate the structural integrity and performance of designs under various load conditions. * Rotating Machinery and Dynamics: Contribute to the design and testing of rotating components, ensuring reliability and vibration control. Perform basic dynamic load assessments and fatigue analysis for rotor systems and gas turbines. * Prototyping and Testing: Able to work with manufacturing and testing teams to build prototypes and conduct testing. Perform validation testing to ensure design meets performance and safety requirements. * Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including design specifications, testing procedures, and maintenance manuals. * Collaboration: Work closely with electrical, aerodynamic, and software engineering teams to ensure integrated design and performance of the unmanned helicopter systems. * Compliance Assurance: Ensure mechanical designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. * Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about advancements in mechanical engineering and UAV technology, integrating best practices into design processes. YOUR PROFILE Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field with (3) years of industry experience. Master’s degree with (2) years of industry experience is equivalent. * Proven experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the manned helicopter industry. A must is either composite structures or rotating machinery and components experience. * Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in CAD software (CREO preferred) and simulation tools. * Very good communication skills. High social skills and good analytical and excellent technical understanding. * Good language skills in English (oral and written). YOUR MISSION Key Responsibilities Product Configuration Management * Establish and maintain product configuration baselines for aircraft systems, subsystems, and components. * Manage Engineering Change Proposals, Orders, and Requests from approval to implementation. * Control engineering drawings, specifications, technical data packages, and product documentation releases. * Maintain accurate Bills of Materials, parts lists, and product structure hierarchies. * Ensure traceability between requirements, design data, test records, and as-built configurations. Change Management & Control * Lead Configuration Control Boards (CCBs). Evaluate proposed changes for technical impact, cost, schedule, certification, and regulatory implications. * Coordinate change implementation across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and maintenance organizations. * Manage engineering deviations and approvals. * Track efficiency of changes across units. Aviation Regulatory Compliance & Certification * Ensure configuration management processes comply with aviation regulations and airworthiness requirements. * Support FAA, EASA, and other regulatory authority certification activities, including compliance reports. * Maintain conformity records to support continued airworthiness. * Provide support for audits, internal and external configuration management assessments, and all required documentation for these activities. Systems & Tools Management * Support Product Lifecycle Management system (e.g. Teamcenter). * Integrate configuration data with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) for manufacturing and supply chain. * Utilize requirements management tools (e.g. Polarion) to maintain traceability. * Generate configuration reports, metrics, and dashboards for program management. Cross-Functional Collaboration * Interface with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, flight test, certification, and program management teams. * Coordinate with suppliers on configuration requirements and changes. * Support manufacturing with As Designed and As-Built configuration management. YOUR PROFILE Qualifications * Education: Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field. * Experience: Proven experience managing product configurations for aircraft, helicopters, UAVs, or aerospace systems. Hands-on experience with engineering change processes and Configuration Control Boards a must. Minimum 3 years of configuration management experience in the aerospace or aviation industry preferred. Experience supporting aviation certification programs (FAA/EASA) a plus. * Skills: Foundational knowledge of configuration management principles, processes, and best practices. Knowledge of engineering drawing standards (ASME Y14.5, ISO standards) a must. Proficiency with PLM and ERP systems integration for BOM management is a must. Working understanding aircraft systems, structures, avionics, and propulsion systems a must. Understanding of aviation regulations, a plus. Familiarity with requirements management and traceability tools preferred. * Communication: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
