This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who can help build a practice in one of the most important energy markets in the country. We are open to leaders coming from either a Survey background or an Engineering background, as long as they bring strong experience supporting oil and gas, pipeline, facilities, and broader hydrocarbon projects. The ideal person will be someone who can lead teams, grow client relationships, oversee project execution, and help expand Atwell’s footprint across West Texas. This role is well suited for a proven leader who wants to help shape strategy, build a team, and play a major role in the continued growth of our Hydrocarbons business. What You’ll Do Practice Leadership and Growth * Help establish and lead Atwell’s Hydrocarbons presence in the Midland market * Build and grow a local practice supporting oil and gas, CO2, hydrogen, RNG, pipeline, and facilities projects * Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technical professionals across survey, engineering, design, and project delivery * Partner with executive leadership on growth strategy, staffing plans, and service expansion * Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, technical excellence, and strong client service Client Development and Market Expansion * Serve as a key client-facing leader for hydrocarbon-related pursuits in West Texas * Identify, develop, and win new business opportunities across upstream, midstream, and related energy infrastructure markets * Strengthen existing client relationships while building new partnerships with operators, developers, and industry stakeholders * Support proposals, presentations, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations * Represent Atwell in the market as a trusted partner and technical leader Project Oversight and Execution * Oversee successful delivery of projects, ensuring quality, schedule, budget, and client expectations are met * Support projects involving pipelines, compressor stations, meter stations, storage assets, facilities, and related field development infrastructure * Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to drive efficient project execution * Support forecasting, utilization, staffing, and operational performance across the practice * Monitor project health, identify risks early, and implement solutions to keep projects moving successfully Technical and Operational Leadership * Provide senior-level guidance on hydrocarbon project execution from either a survey or engineering perspective * Act as a bridge between technical teams, operations, and client stakeholders * Bring practical understanding of how field execution, technical design, and client needs come together on energy projects * Support quality control, technical review, and process improvement efforts * Help identify opportunities to improve service delivery and expand capabilities in the region What You Bring * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Surveying, or a related technical field preferred * 10+ years of progressive experience supporting oil and gas, hydrocarbon, pipeline, facilities, or energy infrastructure projects * Demonstrated success in a leadership role involving team development, project oversight, and client relationship management * Strong understanding of hydrocarbon project execution, whether from a survey, engineering, or multidisciplinary operations background * Proven business development experience and the ability to grow client relationships in a competitive market * Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities effectively * Familiarity with the Midland / West Texas market is strongly preferred * Professional licensure such as RPLS, PE, or similar is highly valued depending on background This position will be based out of Midland, Texas. This role offers the opportunity to work across land agency, development consultancy and residential investment, with the level of appointment tailored to the successful candidate’s experience. At Surveyor level, you will support senior colleagues on live instructions and develop your technical expertise across the full residential development lifecycle. At Associate or Associate Director level, you will take a more senior, client-facing role – driving business development, leading transactions, and contributing to the growth and direction of the team. Working within a collaborative and well-connected business, you will benefit from close integration with our Residential Research, New Homes and Agency teams, providing a broad platform to deliver best-in-class advice to clients. What You’ll Do As the Director of Environmental Services, you will oversee the daily operations of maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, building systems, grounds, and environmental services at Hillcrest Silver Ridge. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for keeping the community safe, compliant, well-maintained, and survey-ready. You will: * Develop, implement, and manage maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, and environmental services processes. * Oversee building upkeep, HVAC, PTAC units, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, equipment, grounds, and general maintenance needs. * Maintain excellent building condition through preventive maintenance, timely repairs, and strong follow-through. * Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. * Problem-solve building, equipment, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and special system concerns. * Refurbish apartments after resident move-outs and support room readiness. * Ensure chemicals, equipment, building systems, and work practices remain compliant with company standards, State Survey expectations, OSHA regulations, and applicable codes. * Train team members on safety, sprinkler system shut-off, fire and emergency panels, equipment use, and emergency procedures. * Lead environmental services team members, including hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, scheduling, workflow direction, and accountability. * Manage department resources, including budgeting, payroll, purchasing, invoice coding, and cost control. * Partner with the Administrator and community leadership to identify needs, solve issues, and support a safe resident environment. * Maintain positive, professional relationships with residents, families, vendors, team members, and leadership. What We’re Looking For We are looking for a hands-on leader who understands building maintenance, team leadership, and the importance of maintaining a safe and welcoming senior living environment. The right candidate will be practical, responsive, organized, and comfortable jumping in to support the work while also leading the department with accountability and professionalism. Ideal candidates will have: * At least one year of experience with HVAC and PTAC units required. * At least one year of experience with Life Safety Code and maintenance procedures preferred. * General knowledge of building upkeep, heating and air conditioning units, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance. * Working knowledge of surface repairs, cleaning processes, fixture care, and facility upkeep. * Experience leading maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, environmental services, or facilities team members preferred. * Ability to manage department workflow, priorities, schedules, and resources. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly to building or resident needs. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, compliance, and quality. * Ability to remain calm, flexible, and professional in stressful or changing situations. * Comfort using technology, systems, and resources efficiently and effectively.
