Operational Buyer who wants to help ensure the supply of materials to our production and contribute to building efficient working
methods in procurement and logistics.
This is an operational role with a strong focus on execution. We are looking for someone who thrives working close to the
business, takes ownership and drives issues to completion. You are solution-oriented, structured and comfortable working in an
environment where not all processes are yet fully established.
The position is based on-site at our office and production facility in Nyköping.

About the position We are looking for a dedicated Operational Buyer to join our team at the Mullsjö plant. The Operational Buyer is primarily responsible for operational purchasing for the plant, covering all materials and services needed to support daily production. In addition, the role manages a broad variety of categories within the Drive Control Systems business area. This setup ensures stable supply, competitive pricing, and strong coordination between the plant, suppliers, and project teams. Responsibilities Primary operational purchasing responsibility - securing all purchasing needs for the plant, within the Drive Control Systems business area. Price and contract negotiations with supplier - manage spend within categories. Leading improvement projects from commercial perspective. Connection point with project purchasing and stakeholders. Secure bidders list for new projects and support within sourcing activities. Risk management and secure suppliers are having necessary documentation and qualification in place. Annual negotiations with main suppliers and coordination with the interfacing purchasing community as well as stakeholders. Understanding raw material market and impact on pricing and secure commercially beneficial approach from company perspective. Visualization of exposure per raw material on part price. Support plant in securing production related to supplier issues (in case needed). Plant (where located) contact interface for Purchasing topics. Requirements Relevant purchasing/procurement experience within same or similar position for production plant. Fluency in both English and Swedish, written and spoken, is required. Strong communication and negotations skills and business mind-set. SAP or ERP experience. Driving license and willingness to travel to meet suppliers. We are looking for an experienced and self‑motivated Senior Tactical Buyer within our procurement team who wants to make a real difference at Stena Line. In this role, you will lead complex sourcing initiatives, drive the execution of key projects and category strategies, and help create value across the business through strong supplier management, commercial insight and stakeholder collaboration. You will act as a key link between operational procurement, category management, suppliers and internal stakeholders. With your procurement expertise, you will lead negotiations, optimize supplier relationships and contracts, and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency, quality, compliance and total cost of ownership. As a senior member of the team, you will also contribute to the development of procurement ways of working, provide guidance in cross-functional projects and support colleagues by sharing knowledge and coaching Tactical and Operational Buyers. The sourcing organization at Husqvarna Forest & Garden Division is divided into several functions and categories, in order to secure quality, delivery, cost efficiency and sustainability throughout the supply chain. The Sourcing team is dedicated to deliver on our full range of business targets and to provide a profound base for our teams driving these objectives together with over 1000 suppliers and are guided by the principles of Strategic, Collaborative, and Professional. One of the key functions within Sourcing is category management and related commercial relationships with suppliers. About the role As Category Manager you are part of a highly motivated team of Category Managers and Operational Buyers and you report to the Sourcing Director Powertrain Categories. You will be overall responsible for the sourcing of accessories to Husqvarna Forest & Garden. This specific role will be responsible for accessories to robotics & wheeled portfolio. The accessories business is a highly strategic and profitable part of Husqvarna’s business offering. About you To succeed in this role, we expect you have: Bachelor of Science/Advantage: MBA or Master of Science in Engineering or relevant experience Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience, preferably in category management positions. Extensive technical experience and working in a Manufacturing industry are also preferred for this position as well as knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies, fact-based negotiation and cross-functional team collaboration. Experience of working in an international environment. Fluent in English You also demonstrate a strong understanding of both internal and external customer service, complemented by exceptional communication abilities that encompass strategic thinking, diplomatic finesse, social competence, and negotiation skills.
