Title: Lifecycle Marketing Manager Location: Austin, TX Reporting to: Sr. Manager, Lifecycle Marketing About Hippo: Hippo was built on a promise: make homeownership effortless. Nearly a decade later, that mission still drives us. We use technology and data to help our customers stay ahead of problems and protect what matters most. Today, that same tech-native approach powers our work beyond homeowners. Hippo operates as a diversified carrier platform, partnering with MGAs to deliver tailored program solutions that help them grow and deliver better customer experiences. Behind that work is a team that values ownership, curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. If you're energized by building what's next, we'd love to meet you. About This Role: We're looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to be the connective tissue behind our lifecycle marketing programs. This role owns the operational backbone that lets our campaigns run smoothly, compliantly, and on accurate data — coordinating with Legal on approvals, managing reporting requests from stakeholders, and maintaining the health of our ESP (email/SMS/push platform) data and systems. This role sits inside Lifecycle Marketing and is purpose-built around the operational, compliance, and data workflows that keep our campaigns running, with marketing operations and governance at its core. About You: You're a brand-first content marketer who knows how to turn organic growth strategy into content that actually earns attention — a storyteller who can take even the most complex topic and make it feel effortless to understand. You bring the discipline of a project manager to the creativity of a writer, hitting every deadline without ever letting quality slip. For you, voice, tone, and creative integrity aren't a checklist to clear — they're the whole point, and it shows in every piece you touch. You write and direct copy that sounds unmistakably like Hippo, and you have the editorial instincts to dig into industry trends and shape direction that speaks to multiple audiences while still driving the business forward. You move easily between agencies, designers, product marketers, and communications teams, translating a shared vision into work that holds together across every touchpoint. You're growth-minded at your core, always looking to what the data says and using it to sharpen what comes next. And when the work has to hold up in a regulated environment — legal reviews, compliance checks, the works — you're the person who can navigate that with confidence instead of friction. What You'll Do: Cross-Functional Campaign Support * Coordinate the operational logistics around campaign launches — approvals, QA checklists, data validation — without owning creative strategy or campaign timelines (that stays with the lifecycle marketing strategists/managers) * Act as the point person other teams go to when they need something from lifecycle marketing (data, reporting, compliance status), keeping the core team focused on strategy and execution Reporting & Stakeholder Requests * Own the intake and triage process for reporting and campaign requests from internal stakeholders (leadership, sales, product, finance) * Build and maintain recurring reporting workflows so standard requests are self-serve or fast to fulfill * Partner with Analytics/BI to ensure lifecycle marketing metrics are accurate, consistently defined, and audit-ready * Translate raw campaign data into clear, decision-ready summaries for non-marketing stakeholders * Keep stakeholders informed on campaign status and launch timing, providing clear, proactive updates so teams downstream (sales, CX, product, etc) ESP & Data Management * Manage day-to-day data hygiene, segmentation logic, and list management within the ESP(s) [ex. Braze, Customer.io, Iterable] * Own data governance for lifecycle marketing: suppression lists, consent/preference data, field mapping, and integration health between the ESP and upstream data sources (CRM, CDP, data warehouse) * Troubleshoot data discrepancies and system issues that affect campaign targeting or reporting accuracy * Maintain documentation of data schemas, naming conventions, and workflows so the system stays auditable and scalable Legal & Compliance Coordination * Serve as the primary liaison between Lifecycle Marketing, Content and Legal/Compliance for campaign reviews, approvals, and sign-offs * Track copy and content review requests through to resolution, ensuring nothing stalls in the queue and deadlines are met * Maintain a clear record of approved language, disclosures, and compliance requirements so the team isn't re-litigating the same questions campaign after campaign * Flag regulatory or compliance risk areas proactively (ex. TCPA, CAN-SPAM, CCPA/state privacy law considerations) before they become blockers Must Haves: * 3-5 years in marketing operations, lifecycle/CRM marketing, or a similar hybrid marketing + data/compliance role * Hands-on experience with at least one major ESP (Braze, Customer.io, Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.) * Comfort working directly with Legal/Compliance stakeholders and translating legal requirements into marketing-team practice * Strong data literacy — comfortable in spreadsheets, SQL a plus, and confident building/maintaining reporting dashboards * Excellent organizational instincts, eagerly applied to marketing operations and governance * Clear, low-ego communicator who can manage multiple stakeholder requests without dropping details Benefits and Perks Hippo treats its team members with the same level of dedication and care as we do our customers, which is why we’re fortunate to provide all of our Hippos with: * Healthy Hippos Benefits - Multiple medical plans to choose from and 100% employer covered dental & vision plans for our team members and their families. We also offer a 401(k)-retirement plan, short & long-term disability, employer-paid life insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for health and dependent care, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). * Equity - This position is eligible for equity compensation. * Training and Career Growth - Training and internal career growth opportunities. * Flexible Time Off - You know when and how you should recharge. * Little Hippos Program - We offer 12 weeks of parental leave for primary and secondary caregivers. * Hippo Habitat - Snacks and drinks available and catered lunches for onsite employees.
