We are looking for a Network Maintenance Manager to take the lead in ensuring the Network Maintenance department is resourced and
prepared to respond maintenance activities on the telecoms network.
This is a hands-on position with high level of competency required. The candidate will be expected to hold a high level of
ownership for their area of responsibility and will include weekend work on a rota basis.

YOUR MISSION WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? * Splicing of live/in build network using a Fujikura 90s or similar (company provided) * Installation of various branded optical fibre cables to various types of splice enclosures, working to Viberoptix required standards * Fault finding on existing network, updating and interpreting Splcing schedules. * Testing and Splicing fibres to ensure that they are in line with the client quality standards using EXFO - ILM/OTDR * Production/Interperet of Fibre characterisation reports (EXFO). * Ensure relevant Health & Safety standards are followed and achieved YOUR PROFILE WHAT WILL YOU BRING? * Ability to produce, update and interpret records of daily work logs, data recordings and network design maps * Ability to work on their own as well as part of a team * Experience of testing and splicing on a Fibre network * Experience with various types of splice enclosures Corning BPEO’s size 0, 1.5 and 2, Hellermann, Prysmian * Confident working at heights and underground network when required * Excellent communication skills across all levels * Excellent organisation, communication and leadership skills * Experience of using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel * Full valid driving licence ABOUT US Viberoptix, part of the Fibrus Group of companies, deliver specialised fibre network build solutions from design, civils activities, cabling and splicing. YOUR MISSION Job Title: Streetworks Specialist Location: Office based (Coalisland or Penrith) Role Summary: As a Streetworks Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the GB Build with streetworks requirements, ensuring compliance with regulations and resolution of concerns or issues. The role: • Raising, closing and managing permits from end to end including start/stop, PMR, variations, etc • Processing TTRO and TTRN applications to various Highways Authorities • Completing risk assessments in line with SWUK protocol • Managing our works around other activities while focussing on collaborative working • Understanding of permit scheme legislation and the requirements for managing permit conditions • Liaising with the councils in Cumbria to discuss works and amend where necessary • Provide streetworks administration support in accordance with business operations • Ensure compliance with all elements of streetworks legislation through effective management of notices, permits and other documents • Have the ability to react and deal with issues arising as a result of our works. • Investigate reinstatement defects, including accepting, disputing, passing to 3rd party and updating trackers • Notifying relevant parties of over-runs and ensuring the appropriate council are updated with action taken • Reporting low and high risk fails in a timely manner, including the processing and accepting or disputing of the fail on the Aurora system • Deal with customer complaints in relation to Streetworks activities and have the ability to resolve these in a quick and timely manner • Liaise with operations, local authorities and third parties to arrange bus stop / parking suspensions / road closures and use of portable traffic signals • Liaise and arrange traffic management alongside the traffic management team • Support the development of processes, workflows and efficiency improvements • Provide technical support and guidance to Operations in relation to streetworks offences and associated costs such as FPN,S74 and inspection failures, with the ability to investigate. • General administrative duties YOUR PROFILE The person: • Previous demonstratable experience in a similar role • Previous experience utilising Aurora and One Network • Strong relationship with councils in Cumbria • Good knowledge and understanding of TTRO / TTRN legislation • Strong working knowledge of NRSWA, TMA and SROH legislation with the ability to transfer these skills into day to day decision making • Driven and able to work autonomously with high level of attention to detail • Competent or advanced competency with Microsoft Office applications • Excellent communication skills across all levels • Demonstrable organisation and time management skills • Have the ability to work on their own while still achieving deadlines • Strategic mindset with the ability to prioritise tasks and focus on performance delivery while promoting efficiency improvements Additional Information: This is not an exhaustive list of duties and requirements. YOUR MISSION JOB TITLE: Network Maintenance Supervisor JOB LOCATION: Cumbria TERMS: Permanent, full time THE JOB We are looking for a Network Maintenance Supervisor (GB) to ensure the network maintenance of the fibre network in Cumbria. The successful candidate will have supervisory experience, along with a proven track record of fault finding and splicing on a fibre network. YOUR PROFILE WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? * To take the lead and ensure the network maintenance team are meeting KPIs and targets and are acting in line with health and safety regulations and standards, including the upkeep and maintenance of the fibre infrastructure to current PIA standards * Attend fault location and complete any make safe/survey actions. * Identify fault, cause of fault and works required to restore service and record details of damage identified. * Assisting with planning crews and materials for all activities required to complete all tasks associated to restore service within the Service Level Agreement. * Identify requirements for street work permits and ensure compliance. * Supervising engineers on site and reporting any concerns into manager * Ensure relevant Health & Safety standards are followed and achieved, including but not limited to SSRAs, Street works, audits, inspections, investigations etc. * Escalation of concerns relating to downtime on network, ensuring appropriate parties are aware and plan is in place to resolve * Population of all system requirements for fault repair including (but not limited to), Field Services, SRV Population, Outage documentation, ARC GIS evidence. * Assist with completion of Post Incident Review documentation for critical outages. * Development of team resulting in streamlining processes as required on network * Oversee completion of works are carried out in line with acceptable standards * Attend daily operational calls with the client when required to review progress, workstack, key incidents and escalations. * Attend weekly progress meetings when required and ensure Council permits are in place to keep works on schedule * Manage client expectations on date deliveries and volume delivery targets * Manage risk register in line with delivery programme and documentation of possible delays * Assess, review, and mitigate commercial & contractual risks * Monitor work production outputs closely with regular dialogue with the commercial dept. * Overall adherence to health and safety policies and procedures across the business WHAT WILL YOU BRING?
