Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead a team of 8-14 engineers building critical settlement
platform capabilities. You will own the technical direction, delivery, and people growth for your team while partnering closely
with business stakeholders to deliver a world-class finance & settlement platform.
The CGFS (Coupang Global Financial Settlement) team is responsible for the end-to-end settlement platform — from vendor master
management and AR/AP registers, through netting engines and tax invoicing, to payment execution and GL posting. We process
billions of dollars in settlements annually across multiple countries and business models.

Role Overview: Finance Platform Engineering (FPE) at Coupang builds a centralized, scalable finance technology platform powering mission‑critical financial systems across the company. The team owns the end‑to‑end finance engineering charter, designing and operating highly reliable platforms that process tens of millions of events per business per day. A Senior Staff Engineer owns a broad charter, leading architecture and execution for partner settlement, payout, and core finance platforms at Coupang scale. In the near term, you will drive delivery of a new end‑to‑end partner settlement and payout platform, while evolving the core finance platform. Over the next 6–12 months, you will lead a long‑running settlement program, drive migrations, and expand the platform to enable new business growth. You will work closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders, setting technical vision and high engineering standards across a team of 25+ engineers.
