Company Description
Backed by leading climate and American dynamism investors, Terranova builds intelligent robotic systems to terraform the Earth
itself: lifting land, restoring wetlands, and protecting critical infrastructure from floods and sea-level rise.
Our mission is to preserve the built environment, create new habitats, and usher in an era of abundance. Our work supports climate
resilience, disaster recovery, and defense across the United States and beyond.
We're assembling a world-class team that wants to work on something real, physical, and civilization-scale. If you want your work
to reshape the world (literally), this is the place to do it.
The Deal
You're a strong engineer. You're also mid-degree and wondering if the degree is worth finishing. We think the best engineers learn
by building, not sitting in lectures. So here's the offer.
Drop out and join us as an Associate Engineer for 6 months. You build real hardware that ships to the field from day one.
After 6 months, we bump you to the exact salary we'd have paid you as a full engineer with the degree in hand. You skip the
tuition, skip the debt, skip two more years of problem sets, and come out with real systems under your belt and full pay.
The degree was going to get you a job. We're the job. We just cut out the wait.
Open to Embedded Systems Engineer and Mechanical Engineer candidates. Review the Embedded or Mechanical job descriptions to see
what the work looks like. If it's something you want, apply.
Senior Full-Stack Engineer (EMEA) Born out of the heart of the Basque Country in Bilbao, ZenRows is one of the fastest-growing startups in Europe! We work 100% remotely and believe in hiring the best people, no matter where you are in the world! Founded in 2021, our mission is to transform the future of data workflows by enabling seamless, large-scale data extraction from the web. With our powerful tools, businesses can automate data collection at scale while leveraging the most advanced anti-bot bypass system on the market. Thousands of companies worldwide - across industries like e-commerce, real estate, finance, and AI - rely on ZenRows to streamline their data pipelines, fueling automation, analytics, and AI-driven insights. As we continue our rapid expansion, we are now looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join us on a permanent basis and make an instant impact. THE ROLE: We’re looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join our GTM (Go To Market) Activation team - a cross-functional group focused on increasing signup, integration, trial usage, and time-to-value for new users. Your job is to work at the intersection of engineering, growth, and product, building everything from onboarding flows and self-serve dashboards to usage analytics, activation nudges, and backend services that guide users toward value - faster. This team sits at the heart of our Go-To-Market engine. You’ll directly influence conversion and retention by reducing friction and turning passive signups into active users. We’re a remote-first company with a fast-paced, high-impact culture. In this role, you’ll work closely with our CEO, Aurken, and our Director of Engineering. And as a business with two technical founders who have strong engineering backgrounds - you must be comfortable engaging in technical discussions while balancing business needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 🚀 Build for Growth * Ship full-stack features across the activation funnel: onboarding UI, guides, wizards, checklists, in-app messaging, and dashboards. Our tech stack: Laravel, Vue * Own backend services and APIs that support analytics, tracking user progress, and onboarding personalization. * Build self-serve capabilities (API explorers, data previews, sandbox flows) that increase integration rates. 📊 Data & Instrumentation * Implement robust event tracking using tools like Segment, Amplitude, BigQuery, and PostHog. * Collaborate with Product and Growth to define and instrument key activation metrics. * Work with analysts to surface insights and user segments for better targeting. 🧪 Experimentation & Optimization * Run A/B tests and iterative experiments to improve signup, activation, and trial conversion. * Based on usage data, build and test UX variations, email triggers, and behavioral nudges. * Instrument cohort-based analysis to identify drop-offs and quick wins. 🤝 Cross-Functional Collaboration * Partner with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Support to identify blockers and opportunities across the funnel. * Act as a technical bridge between user-facing teams and the internal analytics tools. * Help craft a frictionless developer experience from signup to first value. 🛠 Engineering Best Practices * Write clean, maintainable, and performant full-stack code. * Ensure smooth deployment and observability of new features (logs, alerts, error tracking). * Maintain high standards for privacy, compliance, and security. THE PERSON: We’re looking for a builder obsessed with user onboarding, experimentation, and removing friction. You’re a data-driven engineer who understands product goals and loves seeing your work directly impact metrics that matter. KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: * Have +5 years of experience as a Full-Stack/Product Engineer, ideally with exposure to growth or product engineering. * Have experience with modern frontend and backend development using React (or similar frameworks). * Understand SaaS funnels - signup, onboarding, usage, activation, conversion. * Have implemented behavioral analytics, event tracking, and activation dashboards. * Have worked with tools like Amplitude, Segment, BigQuery, or PostHog. * Are familiar with A/B testing tools and statistical analysis of experiments. * Know how to balance speed with tech debt, and can ship fast while keeping things clean. * Enjoy owning metrics and being measured by impact, not lines of code. * Communicate clearly with product, growth, and marketing teams - and thrive on feedback. * Have a strong design sensibility with experience creating polished, customer-facing interfaces that reflect brand values and marketing goals. Bonus Points If You * Have worked on activation or conversion at a B2B SaaS or API-based startup. * Can explain concepts like time-to-value, North Star metrics, or growth loops. * Have experience improving self-serve flows in technical products (developer-facing tools, APIs, dashboards). * Have worked closely with design and marketing teams to implement customer-facing solutions that drive conversion. * Demonstrate attention to detail with a portfolio that showcases pixel-perfect implementation of designs. AGILE & PROCESS-DRIVEN MINDSET * You optimize workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and improve efficiency without overcomplicating processes. * You understand the Pareto principle (80/20 rule) and prioritize high-impact work over perfection. * You are used to working with multidisciplinary teams and balancing engineering, business, and product needs. STRONG PRODUCT & BUSINESS AWARENESS * You have world-class product sense and can prioritize engineering efforts based on business impact. TRANSPARENCY & COLLABORATION * You thrive in open, honest communication and ensure visibility across teams. * You can handle strong opinions from technical founders and have the guts to say no when needed, while gathering input from multiple stakeholders. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT * Full ownership. You'll own systems end-to-end — design, deployment, and operations. No handoffs to an ops team, no waiting for someone else to ship your work * Direct impact. The systems you build directly affect customer SLAs, billing accuracy, and the core product success rate. You'll feel it * No layers. You'll work closely with our CEO and Director of Engineering — both technically deep — without three layers of management in between * No methodology theater. We skip the ceremony and give you a horizontal view of the problem. You decide where you can have the most impact WHY YOU WILL LOVE WORKING HERE… * Our people crave ownership and opportunity over everything else. We offer responsibility and scope to do things in your role that you can only dream of in similar roles in larger companies. * We have a CEO who values world-class talent over everything else. Trust and respect are earned, and with them come reward and recognition like nowhere else. * In a world where it feels like everyone is being called back to being in an office, we operate a truly 100% remote approach that allows you to work from anywhere you choose. Forget Agile, Scrum, Lean... or whatever development methodology is trendy this week. We give you a horizontal view that enables you to identify where you think you can contribute the most. We have fun! The above may sound like we are all about work, but we put a lot of focus on ensuring our culture is one that our people enjoy, which lets you build lasting friendships and grow both personally and professionally. Privacy and Your Data At ZenRows, we prioritize the privacy and security of data entrusted to us. We are committed to complying with all applicable data protection regulations and industry best practices. As part of our team, you will contribute to creating and maintaining systems that uphold the highest data integrity, confidentiality, and transparency standards. Your role will help ensure that we continue to protect sensitive information, foster trust with our customers, and support a privacy-first culture across our organization. Any job offer we may make to you will be subject to your successfully passing background checks.
