At finmid, we're building infrastructure that integrates access to capital for SMEs directly into the platforms they use daily. We
leverage technology, data, and strategic partnerships to deliver financing solutions that significantly outperform traditional
financial services, offering SMEs faster, simpler, and more transparent access to funding.
As we expand across Europe, the volume and complexity of our contracting grows in parallel: platform partnerships, borrower
agreements, supplier procurement, and the regulatory wrapping that holds them together. Our stack combines regulated financial
infrastructure with modern software engineering. Legal sits inside that stack rather than adjacent to it. This role is where
commercial contracting, product enablement, and AI-driven workflow design meet.
Build the commercial legal infrastructure that lets finmid contract at the speed its product ships. You'll be the main legal point
of contact for our commercial and product teams, the operator behind every platform, borrower, and supplier contract, and the
architect of the systems that make this work repeatable. The goal: a contracting function that scales with revenue rather than
with headcount.
You'll do this in close partnership with the General Counsel, the Head of Commercial, and product leads across Europe. You'll have
a lot of autonomy, but you won't be on your own. This is a deeply cross-functional role and you'll be embedded with the people
building, selling, and integrating the product.
The problems you'll work on don't have established playbooks yet. You'll need intellectual range: the ability to move between
regulatory text, contract drafting, workflow design, and AI tooling without losing the thread.
What You Will Work On
agreements. Negotiate independently with counterparties once you've internalised our positions, redline against playbook, and
bring back the genuinely hard calls for collective decision. The expectation isn't speed for its own sake. It's quality at
volume, with the reasoning legible to anyone who needs to follow it.

agreement every time a parameter changes. Design contracts that flex with the product rather than constrain it.
workflow that runs on AI assistance from first pass to negotiation, a clause library and playbook that update themselves as our
positions evolve, automated propagation of T&C changes across jurisdictions and languages, version control that nobody has to
babysit, and an internal knowledge layer that lets the next hire onboard in days rather than months.

cleanly to the regulatory obligations it triggers downstream.
DORA-grade resilience and ICT third-party requirements, GDPR and sub-processor architecture, outsourcing rules under EU and

not bespoke prose.

About 9fin 9fin is the AI platform powering global debt markets — the world’s largest asset class at over $145 trillion. Debt markets are vast, global, and mission-critical, yet still run on fragmented data, PDFs, and manual workflows. 9fin replaces this broken infrastructure with a single platform that centralises proprietary credit data, deep analysis, and high-value workflows across global markets. Today, 9fin powers teams at 300+ blue-chip institutions worldwide, including global banks, asset managers, private equity firms, law firms, and advisors. The business is scaling at exceptional speed, with rapid expansion in the US and best-in-class retention driven by deep workflow adoption. We’re at a defining inflection point. With proven product-market fit and strong, global market pull, 9fin is accelerating toward becoming the category-defining platform for debt markets worldwide. THE OPPORTUNITY We are a small, ambitious legal team that moves fast, takes ownership seriously, and genuinely enjoys the work we do together. Everyone on the team has real scope, and we invest in each other. This role is for a lawyer who loves what they do, and is keen to focus on commercial contracts. You will be the primary legal contact for Sales and RevOps, owning the deal flow that keeps the business moving and building real relationships with the people you support. Contracting with 9fin’s clients is the core, but negotiating with vendors also sits alongside that as an equally important part of the role. There is room to stretch into adjacent areas when the business needs it, and plenty of opportunity to grow as the team does. You are 5 to 7 years PQE, English or New York qualified, and looking for a role where your work genuinely matters from day one. We are open to London or New York, and will decide based on the strength of the candidate. You will report to the VP, General Counsel and work alongside a team that will back you. WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON Every day is different, but here's an example of the kind of things you'll work on: * Be the primary point of contact for Sales and RevOps on commercial contracting, owning triage and day-to-day deal flow across the business * Lead on the bulk of sales contract work, working within a collaborative legal team where commercial contracting is your primary focus * Operate confidently within Ironclad as the primary user of the contracting workflow, working to get the most out of the platform * Liaise with the Procurement Manager as the primary legal point of contact for vendor agreements, reviewing and negotiating contracts routed through the procurement function, and ensuring the wider legal team is properly engaged on vendor matters that require legal input * Own the forms, draft and negotiate the full suite of commercial agreements: Order Forms, Terms, NDAs, and other specific addenda * Handle the volume: renewals, amendments, non-standard terms, and anything else that keeps deals moving at pace * Pick up adjacent areas as needed, including Company Secretarial, policy work, and corporate support when it arises ABOUT YOU We are looking for someone who identifies with the following traits, even if you don't have all of them. * Contracts is your thing, not a stepping stone: You are a commercial and vendor contracts lawyer because you want to be. You find genuine satisfaction in moving deals forward, owning the process end to end, and doing it well. This is not a role for someone looking to transition into something else on 9fin's time. * You bring energy: You show up with drive. You don't wait to be pointed at work. You identify what needs doing and you do it. The best version of this role looks like a lawyer who operates with the urgency and ownership of someone building their own business. * High output, high quality: You can carry a significant volume of commercial work without corners being cut. You are organised, accurate, and reliable under time pressure. * You close things: You are not someone who holds deals in limbo. You understand what matters commercially, you take a proportionate view of risk, and you get contracts signed. * Team player with no ego: You work well within a small, senior team. You ask for help when you need it, you share what you know, and you care about the team's output as much as your own. * Proactive communicator: You keep stakeholders informed without being chased. You are clear and direct, whether you are advising a sales rep or briefing a senior executive. * Willing to stretch: Commercial and vendor contracting is the core of this role. The adjacent areas are secondary. But when the business needs you to step in, you step in without complaint. * Solution minded: You come with answers, not just problems. You move fast, you build repeatable solutions, and you don't get stuck in the detail when speed matters. Our benefits We're a scaling start up, and we enjoy sharing our success, when the company succeeds, we always reinvest that in our people. We also offer huge amounts of responsibility, an abundance of opportunity for growth and a platform to truly excel. Financial & Insurance * Competitive Salary: $185,000 - $245,000 * Equity Options * 401(k) (9fin pays 3%, employee contributions are uncapped) * Private Health Insurance, with Dental and Vision * Paid sick leave * Disability Insurance (New York) * Commuter Benefit Time off * 25 vacation days per year * Local public holiday * Hybrid working model, to allow you the flexibility to decide how, where and when you do your best work * Work abroad for up to 3 months a year * 1 month paid sabbatical after 5 years of service * Enhanced parental leave & flexible working arrangements available Training & Culture * Professional learning and development budget * Bi-annual team socials * Summer and Winter company social events A note from the hiring manager "The legal team at 9fin punches well above its weight. Everyone on it owns real work, moves fast, and is expected to grow. I am looking for someone who wants to come in, make an immediate impact on the things that matter most to the business, and build from there. If you want responsibility from day one and a team that will back you, this is it." — Brian Dearing, General Counsel 9fin is an equal opportunities employer At 9fin we are dedicated to building and promoting a fair and inclusive workplace where everyone can reach their full potential and truly belong. We recognize that building diverse teams enables a more creative and productive environment. If you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t perfectly align with the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You might just be who we’re looking for — either for this role, or perhaps another.

Mission before ego. Everyone contributes. No one coasts. If you’re driven by impact, pace, and raising the bar. This is the place. THE ROLE As a Legal Operations Specialist in Legora’s Stockholm office, you will play a central role in building and scaling the operational infrastructure of one of the fastest-growing legal technology companies globally. You will work at the intersection of legal, technology, and operations — owning the systems, workflows, and knowledge architecture that enable Legora's legal function and broader organisation to operate at scale. A core part of this role is building internal knowledge databases and driving integrations that unlock the full value of Legora's own platform within our organisation. This role requires a high degree of independence, strong systems thinking, and the ability to drive cross-functional change across multiple teams and time zones. You will partner closely with Legal, People, Finance, RevOps, Product, and Customer Success, becoming an integral part of how Legora operationalises its legal and commercial knowledge. You will report to the General Counsel, based at our Stockholm headquarters. Legora’s legal function is a forward-deployed, AI-first team working across multiple jurisdictions and legal disciplines. We act as trusted partners to the business, with particular focus on product development, operations, and commercial initiatives. As a legal technology company, we hold ourselves to the highest standard when it comes to our own legal operations — and we expect this role to help us lead by example. Beyond strong operational judgment, we value curiosity, problem-solving, and a proactive mindset. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING * Own the design and build-out of Legora's internal legal knowledge databases, ensuring that contracts, policies, playbooks, and institutional knowledge are structured, searchable, and organized. * Drive integrations between Legora's own platform and internal systems (CLM, CRM, HRIS, finance tools) to maximise the value Legora derives from its own product and ensure seamless data flows across the organisation. * Establish and maintain structured contract management infrastructure — including metadata schemas, parent-child contract linking, deduplication standards, and a deviation/exception registry for non-standard terms. * Design and implement cross-functional handoff protocols so that relevant contract terms, exceptions, and commitments automatically surface to Finance, RevOps, Product, and Customer Success at the point of execution. * Partner with the Legal, People, and Operations teams to identify process bottlenecks, drive continuous improvement, and ensure legal operations practices reflect Legora's standards and values. * Contribute to governance, compliance, and risk mitigation initiatives, ensuring that operational infrastructure supports Legora's obligations as it scales internationally. WHO YOU ARE * 2-5 years of experience in legal operations, contract management, or a related operational role within a law firm or in-house legal team. * Proficiency in both spoken and written English. Additional European language skills are meritorious. * Deep, granular understanding of technology stacks, APIs, data architecture, and system interoperability. Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, or building legal technology tools, knowledge management systems, or integration layers is essential. * Demonstrable experience in legal operations, legal technology, or a related technical-operational field. A relevant degree (e.g., law, computer science, engineering, or information systems) is meritorious but not required. Prior experience in knowledge management teams or in supporting legal professionals is particularly valued. * Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional change and influence senior stakeholders across Legal, Finance, Product, and Operations. * Experience in high-growth, international, or technology-driven organisations is highly valued. * You are operationally minded and solutions-oriented — you focus on building infrastructure that enables the business while appropriately managing risk. * You communicate complex operational and legal concepts clearly and translate them into structured, actionable processes. * You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and are comfortable operating with autonomy and ambiguity. * A deep technical and genuine excitement about building with technology is meritorious. You are likely not content to be a consumer of tools — you want to get under the hood, write code where needed, and architect systems that push the boundaries of what a best-in-class legal operations function looks like. A keen interest in AI, data infrastructure, and Legora's own platform is essential. Legora is an Equal Opportunity Employer At Legora, we believe great teams are built on diversity of thought and experience. We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer and committed to creating an inclusive, high-performance culture where everyone can do their best work. We welcome people of all backgrounds and don’t discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
