This role is for a lawyer who loves what they do, and is keen to focus on commercial contracts. You will be the primary legal
contact for Sales and RevOps, owning the deal flow that keeps the business moving and building real relationships with the people
you support. Contracting with 9fin’s clients is the core, but negotiating with vendors also sits alongside that as an equally
important part of the role. There is room to stretch into adjacent areas when the business needs it, and plenty of opportunity to
grow as the team does.
You are 5 to 7 years PQE, English or New York qualified, and looking for a role where your work genuinely matters from day one. We
are open to London or New York, and will decide based on the strength of the candidate.
You will report to the VP, General Counsel and work alongside a team that will back you.

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an experienced Commercial Counsel - Channel Partnerships & Alliances to join our US Legal Team. In this role, you will support complex commercial transactions, including SaaS, licensing, and strategic partnerships, while helping the company navigate diverse legal and regulatory frameworks in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence. In the Commercial Counsel - Partnerships role specifically, you will work on partnership arrangements including ISV integrations, SI alliances, reseller channels, and strategic referral networks. You will work closely with global colleagues to provide practical, business-oriented advice that enables growth while managing risk across multiple jurisdictions. Responsibilities * Own end-to-end legal strategy and execution for ElevenLabs’ partnership ecosystem, including ISV and platform integration agreements, systems integrator and consulting partnerships, channel partner programs, reseller and distribution arrangements, marketplace agreements, embedded and OEM-style arrangements, and strategic alliance structures. * Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, with a primary focus on Partnerships deals and enterprise customer contracts * Serve as the primary legal partner to ElevenLabs’ Partnerships team, providing strategic counsel that balances risk management with speed-to-market and aggressive growth objectives. * Design, maintain, and continuously improve scalable partnership templates, playbooks, approval workflows, and contracting infrastructure that enable the business to evaluate and execute deals efficiently. * Provide clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused legal advice to cross-functional teams, tailoring advice to enable responsible growth and innovation. * Contribute to scaling the Legal Team’s commercial function, fostering a collaborative, solutions-oriented team culture. * Build scalable legal infrastructure for global partner motions, including reseller frameworks, marketplace terms, partner program agreements, approval workflows, and operational playbooks. About the role We are seeking an exceptional IP Counsel to join the ElevenLabs Legal Team. ElevenLabs is at the frontier of AI-generated audio and voice — which means we're also at the frontier of some of the most interesting and consequential IP questions in the industry right now. Copyright law, content licensing, and IP strategy for generative AI are being written in real time, and you'll have a front-row seat for it all. As our second IP Counsel, you'll have the opportunity to partner closely with product, engineering, research, and commercial teams across a host of intellectual property issues, including copyright, rights of publicity, trademarks, and trade secrets. You'll counsel on IP risk in model development and outputs, structure and negotiate licensing deals across our platforms, and help build the frameworks that protect and extend ElevenLabs' IP position as we scale. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role for someone who wants to do substantive legal work — not manage process — at one of the fastest-moving AI companies in the world. Required Qualifications * JD with active membership in at least one U.S. state bar or law degree and qualification to practice law in the U.K. * 6+ years of experience advising on intellectual property issues, including copyright and/or trade secrets. * Experience drafting and negotiating complex IP-related transactions, including licensing agreements. * Strong command of the IP issues unique to generative AI companies. * Excellent business judgment, writing skills, and attention to detail. * Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with content distribution and licensing in the media, entertainment, music, or publishing industries. * Experience managing IP risk in a software development environment. * Law firm and in-house experience.
