We’re looking for a Junior Collections Agent (m/f/d) We are looking for a diligent a Collections Agent to help us maximise collections returns by understanding the customer’s circumstances and ensuring that all actions achieve the best outcome for iwoca and our clients. The role We are seeking an experienced Collections Specialist who will be required to work within a fast-paced, customer focused environment, providing great customer service while maintaining the team’s excellent track record. * Case handling a high volume portfolio of customer accounts in arrears through to completion with varying and unique circumstances * Handling inbound and initiating outbound telephone calls, letters and emails with the greatest level of care, accuracy and customer service skills * Building relationships with customers through regular contact to validate, understand and resolve breaches of agreements with customers * Negotiate, implement and monitor feasible repayment solutions that take into account the customer's circumstances while balancing the best interests of the business * Work with a wide range of teams within the company to understand, strategise and implement the most appropriate course of action for each account * Working closely with Collections Management and the Head of Collections to review and develop recovery strategies * Instructing, liaising and monitoring third parties such as debt collection agencies and Paralegals to ensure the best outcome is achieved * Ensuring compliance with all appropriate legislation regulatory body guidelines * Adhering to our company policies and procedures * Upholding iwoca’s company reputation at all times * Updating databases and systems in order to keep an accurate record of activities, observations and outcomes within the recovery process The requirements Essential: * Demonstrates curiosity to use and learn more about AI tools. You’ll already be comfortable using AI tools in practical ways to help solve problems, increase productivity and improve quality of work, showing good judgement about when to use them and the ability to explain the reasoning behind that use. * A level of German, C1 that allows you to feel comfortable talking to clients, negotiate arrangements and handle tense situations We look for people who are smart, humble, motivated and who are always looking to improve. Ideally you'll have: * Nice to have 1 year debt recovery experience, ideally in the commercial/business sector * Empathy, forbearance and professionalism * Strong communication skills, accuracy and confidence * The ability to deal with a variety of challenges, innovate and think on your feet * Business acumen, entrepreneurial spirit with real enthusiasm for helping SMEs. Experience within the finance industry is advantageous. The salary We expect to pay from 34.000 € — 46.000 € for this role. JOIN US AS A SENIOR BACKEND ENGINEER (ALL GENDERS) - VEHICLE FOUNDATION IN OUR VEHICLE FOUNDATION TEAM ON A SHARED JOURNEY THAT MATTERS!  To make the vision of an autonomously driving mobility service a reality the teams in our Vehicle Integration domain develop the applications and tools needed to enable autonomous passenger management within our MOIA vehicles in a world without a driver: How do passengers authenticate themselves in an autonomous vehicle? How do we ensure a safe cabin during boarding and the ride? Which content should be displayed on the vehicle screens to provide a safe and informative user experience for the passenger?    The Vehicle Foundation team boosts the vehicle feature development process for the feature teams working in our domain by providing foundational features. We develop modern automated solutions for hardware and software platforms by covering tooling, observability, security, and provisioning. Additionally, we keep and maintain stable in-vehicle features and connectivity suited to the ridepooling experience for passengers and the fleet of the existing MOIA system.   The team has the necessary roles to take full responsibility for the given value streams: from backend and embedded developers to quality specialists, cyber security experts and product owners. Join the team if you want to solve these challenges in an agile and customer-driven environment.   WHAT YOU WILL DO * Design and operate cloud-native infrastructure. * Research and develop passenger management systems for an autonomous mobility service.  * Bridge the data flow of the AWS-based backend infrastructure and the in-vehicle components using AWS IoT services (e.g., telemetry data, camera stream, metrics, authentication, logs).  * Improve the CICD infrastructure responsible for building and distributing our embedded software releases.  * Integrate AI coding assistants in the development process.  * Work in a bottom-up managed, autonomous, cross-functional team together with other talented engineers.   * Participate in the full development life cycle, from design to implementation, quality assurance and maintenance.   WHAT WILL HELP YOU TO FULFILL YOUR ROLE  * Proficiency in Golang, and an interest in touching other languages such as Typescript, Python.  * Experience with AWS IoT and serverless technologies such as Lambda, DynamoDB, and SQS.  * Experience with Infrastructure as Code, e.g.: CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation, etc. * Experience with CICD tools such as Github Actions, AWS CodeBuild, or Jenkins.  * Familiarity with container solutions such as Docker and communication protocols used to connect edge devices, such as MQTT.  * Interest in DevOps tools such as Ansible and Kubernetes.  * General understanding of the Linux platform and general interest in embedded development (in C++).  * Nice to have: Experience with ROS2. * Knowledge of current trends in software design, event-driven architecture, DevOps, AI assisted development and a strong interest in further development * Interest in applying agile development practices and a proactive, flexible, and hands-on mindset.  * Strong collaboration skills throughout code reviews, pair programming, providing constructive feedback, and team communication.  We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds — even if you don’t meet every requirement.
