WE BUILD SOFTWARE TO ENABLE SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE SUPPLY CHAINS.
~31% of global GHG emissions originate from food-related activities. For the first time in history, climate performance has become
an overall business performance indicator. Enterprises are mandated by regulatory bodies to disclose their climate performance,
which leads to increasing pressure from investors, competitors, retailers, and consumers to prevent and reduce their CO2e
emissions. Over the next 10 years, companies have set ambitious reduction targets that need to be met. Enterprise software and new
business processes can help - to make processes in the day-to-day more efficient, connect farmers better to their partners and
thus, enable action in supply chains.
We raised >€10m in funding in the first 2 years of our existence, we launched our enterprise product, signed and onboarded some of
the largest F&B players in Europe, and put together what we believe is the best-suited early stage tech team in Europe.
Today Root is the #1 primary data collection platform for dairy in DACH. We are AI-enabled at the core and driving the AI
transformation across the food and agri world. The next chapter is bigger.
Build an innovative operating system for the dairy industry from 0 to 1, at the intersection of farmers and dairies.
Dairy is Root's home market. We know it inside out - the players, the workflows, the technology gaps, the people. We see a
category-defining opportunity to build a new product line that sits between farmers and dairy processors, and that has the
potential to become the connecting piece of our portfolio.
This is a genuinely greenfield role. You will not inherit a backlog. You will define what we build, why, and for whom - then prove
it works with a handful of pilot customers before we scale.

on a fixed annual cycle.
You will work side by side with the Head of Product to make the bet, and own the product line end-to-end as it grows. Engineering
and design support will scale with traction.
You will report directly to our Head of Product.
It is important to us to give you the best conditions for learning and career growth. This is why we have designed our cap table
in a way that all our early employees get functional experts as mentors by your side.
Language requirement: Fluent in German and English. Non-negotiable - our customers and most farmers are German-speaking.

🤗 You don't feel like you fulfill all the criteria? We get it: confidence can sometimes hold us back from applying for a job. But
guess what?! There is no such thing as a “perfect” candidate. The only thing you need to ensure along the recruiting process and
beyond is that the problem that we are solving with Root is one you cannot wait to get out of bed for on Monday morning!
Our ambition is to offer you an end-to-end experience that is fast and uncomplicated - we aim to keep the end-to-end process to 10
working days. We send you prep material for each step and maximise transparency at every step.

YOUR MISSION We are a Berlin-based startup transforming how industrial materials are bought and sold across Europe. One of the oldest industries in the world still runs on Excel, PDF and email. We are replacing that with AI that runs the buying and selling workflow end to end, increasing liquidity, speeding up transactions and reducing waste for hundreds of steel and metal distributors. We have strong early traction, real enterprise customers and committed investors. We are a lean, technical team scaling our enterprise pilots and building the AI infrastructure underneath them. Your job is to open doors and win conversations. You partner closely with Co-founder Simon, who owns sales. You will spend real time on the phone with German steel traders and distributors, and you will build the systems and tools that make every call sharper. This is a hands-on role with four pillars, and the first one is where you will make your mark. 1. REACH OUT AND CLOSE Own our outbound: call and message decision-makers at steel traders and stockholders across the DACH region, in German, every day. Get past the gatekeeper, open the conversation, and book qualified meetings for the team. Track follow-ups so no warm lead ever goes cold, and prepare the pre-call briefs that make each conversation land. 2. BUILD THE PIPELINE Build and verify our target lists: the right companies, mapped to the right person (Head of Sales, branch manager, MD). Keep our CRM (Attio) clean and trustworthy so the whole team can rely on it. 3. EXTEND OUR AI OUTBOUND ENGINE Improve the internal AI tooling that powers our outreach: research, enrichment and message drafting. Wire in new data sources and automate the manual steps that slow you down. You will use AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude) to ship, not just specify. 4. HELP BUILD THE BRAND Help shape how our software business shows up in the world: our brand, our messaging, and our presence on social media. Bring ideas for how we look and sound, help grow our audience across the channels that matter, and keep everything consistent as the product grows. YOUR PROFILE You are genuinely comfortable picking up the phone, and you like finding smarter ways to work. The one non-negotiable: you can sell in German. Everything else you can grow into here. * Excellent written and verbal communication in German (C1 or C2 must have, native not required) and solid English. You can run an outbound call with a German industrial customer end to end, and you are not thrown by a cold conversation. * Enrolled student or recent graduate. We care about how you think and what you have built, not your years of experience. * Comfortable with software, and keen to use AI tools like Cursor or Claude to work smarter. If you can build or automate things yourself, even better, though you do not need to be an engineer. * Resourceful and thick-skinned. You take initiative instead of waiting to be told, and a "no" does not slow you down. * Organized, and genuinely bothered by messy data. * Nice to have: your own outreach or sales experience; a side project you have shipped; a portfolio, brand, or content you have built (a site, a social account, a newsletter); Python, React, or GTM tools like Clay, Apollo or HubSpot. WHY US? * €2,000 to €2,500 per month, depending on experience. * Real ownership from day one: you run your own outbound, and you watch the meetings you book turn into real deals. * Work directly with the founders and learn how a startup wins its first customers from zero, in a real industry. * Senior co-founders who are operators, not pitch-deck founders. Decisions happen fast. * Subsidised Urban Sports Club membership and Deutschlandticket. * Hybrid work format, office in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin. * Regular team events, company breakfasts and Friday drinks.
The Position Hive is scaling to become Europe’s default operating system for commerce, and our Growth engine is at the heart of that ambition. We’re looking for an exceptional Founder Associate / Strategy Associate to our Chief Growth Officer to sit at the nerve center of that engine for 6 months, own problems that would normally land on a McKinsey Engagement Manager’s desk, and actually ship the answers. This is a zero-to-one internship. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our CGO on the highest-leverage questions Hive is facing: market entries, pricing architecture, GTM motion redesigns, and the board-level narratives behind them. You won’t fetch coffee. You’ll build the models, drive the analyses, and present the recommendations that shape where Hive goes next. If you’re the person who excelled at a top program, cracked the McKinsey case-prep circuit, and now wants 4-6 months of real operator exposure before you take the BCG/McKinsey/Bain offer, or before you start the venture you’ve already been sketching out, this role was built for you. Your Mission You’ll be the CGO’s force multiplier. Every week, you’ll turn an ambiguous, high-stakes strategic question into a crisp, defensible answer, and then help make it happen. Your Responsibilities * Own CGO-level strategic projects end-to-end: from framing the problem, to structuring the analysis, to landing the recommendation with the leadership team * Build the models: unit economics, pricing simulations, cohort analyses, market sizings, and business cases for new market entries and product bets * Run deep-dive analyses across our commercial funnel: pipeline health, segment performance, sales productivity, churn drivers, and turn findings into concrete interventions * Prepare board, investor, and all-hands materials with the CGO, the kind of decks that get pressure-tested in front of Tiger Global, Earlybird, and Picus Capital * Design and run strategic experiments with Sales, Account Management, Marketing, and Partnerships, and measure what actually moved the needle * Synthesize competitive and market intelligence into decisions: how Hive positions against Shopify, Amazon, 3PLs, and category entrants across Europe * Act as chief of staff to the CGO: driving the weekly operating rhythm, prioritizing the inbox and calendar, and ensuring nothing important drops Your Profile * A distinctive academic track record: Dean’s List, scholarships, or thesis awards are strong signals * Consulting-track pedigree: you’ve prepped seriously for McKinsey, BCG, or Bain interviews. You think in MECE, you’re analytically ruthless in Excel, and you can structure a slide in your sleep * Prior exposure at the highest bar: internships at MBB, top VC-backed scaleups (Trade Republic, N26, Revolut, Flix, Sennder), PE, or IB. Founder or founding-team experience is a huge plus * Analytically ruthless, commercially sharp: you can go from a messy Metabase export to a board-ready insight in an afternoon. SQL or Python is a strong plus * Operator instincts, not just analyst instincts: you don’t stop at the recommendation; you drive execution and carry things across the finish line * Exceptional written and verbal English (C1+); German is a strong plus given our large DACH footprint * High agency, low ego: you move fast, you ask the blunt question in the room, and you’d rather be useful than look good politically * Available for 4-6 months starting ASAP: Pflichtpraktikum, gap semester, or pre-MBA window all work Our Offering * Proximity to the decision table: you’ll sit in every meeting that matters, strategy, board prep, exec offsites, investor updates. Most people don’t get this exposure until their late 20s * A resume line you can’t buy: Founder / Strategy Associate to the CGO of one of DACH’s top-scaling scaleups * A guaranteed conversion path: top performers get a full-time offer into Strategy, BizOps, Chief of Staff, or a GTM leadership track, with a clear 2-year path to running a function * Work with exceptional people: our team includes alumni from McKinsey, Amazon, Shopify, Google, TikTok, and Trade Republic * Real autonomy from day one: your impact drives your progression, not your past titles * Tools to thrive: MacBook, Claude Pro & Lovable Business Plan, modern office at Alexanderplatz, 30 vacation days prorated, flexible hours, and regular team events including company-wide offsites * A front-row seat to the €200B operations opportunity in European commerce About us We're revolutionizing e-commerce operations. Spread across Germany, Spain and the UK, the team at Taxfix Group with its brands Taxfix and Steuerbot, is a compassionate group of solution-finders. The group has facilitated more than 3.5 billion euros in tax refunds for its customers since its founding in 2016. YOUR CHALLENGE As our Senior Accountant, Operational Finance, you'll be at the core of how Taxfix keeps its financial engine running accurately and at pace — and you'll help shape what that engine looks like next. This is a broad, hands-on accounting role that spans revenue booking and reconciliation, payment operations, collections partner governance, and month-end close across two entities and multiple markets. You'll work closely with our existing Revenue & Close Lead, acting as a strong day-to-day partner and backup across shared processes, while owning your own domains end-to-end. You'll bring accounting rigour to everything you touch — clean audit trails, solid controls, and close-ready documentation — while actively contributing to the team's automation agenda using AI tooling and workflow design. We're an AI-first team, and we mean it — you'll have real space to explore, build, and implement. Reporting to our Senior Manager, Finance Platforms and Transformation, you'll collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Customer Success, Legal, and Data to keep our operational finance function scalable, reliable, and genuinely future-proof. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES * Book and reconcile revenue monthly across entities, ensuring accuracy, correct period allocation, and audit-ready controls. * Own payment service provider settlement reconciliation across entities — matching settlement files to the ERP, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining clean records. * Monitor AR aging and payment failure resolution, with clear escalation paths documented and followed. * Oversee the automated dunning flow via our billing partner — monitor performance, flag exceptions, and drive continuous improvement. * Manage the relationship with our external debt collection agency — SLAs, KPIs, performance reviews, and handover quality. * Own write-off inputs and bad debt reporting, ensuring recommendations are accurate, timely, and well-supported. * Deliver all owned close inputs on time every month and resolve reconciliation breaks between the billing platform, payment service provider, and ERP within agreed SLAs. * Actively identify manual and error-prone processes and build solutions — workflows, exception monitoring, runbooks, and SOPs. * Contribute to AI-driven initiatives in Finance Operations — exploring and implementing tools and agents that automate or enhance operational workflows. * Act as a strong day-to-day partner and backup to the Revenue & Close Lead, and maintain structured relationships with external partners and internal teams including Product, CS, Legal, and Data. YOUR PROFILE * Solid accounting background with hands-on experience in revenue booking, reconciliation, and month-end close — you understand debits, credits, and why controls matter. * 4–6 years of experience in operational finance, accounting, or AR in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. * Direct experience with a payment service provider, billing platform, and ERP in an operational finance context — NetSuite experience strongly preferred. * Strong working knowledge of IFRS; familiarity with HGB is a plus. * Experience managing external partners against SLAs and KPIs — you can hold a vendor accountable and run a structured performance review. * Able to independently build and maintain operational reports using SQL and a BI tool such as Looker. * Genuinely excited about AI and its potential in finance — whether already experimenting with tools, automation, or agent building, or actively learning and bringing that curiosity to work every day. * Natural documenter — audit trails, SOPs, and runbooks come instinctively; you leave things cleaner than you found them. * Thrives in a flat, collaborative environment — doesn't need hierarchy to know when to lead, and naturally supports the people around them. * Communicates clearly in English; German is a plus. At Taxfix, we believe that incredible things happen when you have a wealth of perspectives and experiences. We're proudly committed to equal employment and development opportunities no matter your gender, race, religion, age, sexual orientation, colour, disability, or place of origin. To help mitigate any potential unconscious biases, we ask that you refrain from including your picture, age, or marital status on your CV. Let your experiences speak for themselves. Not sure if you meet all the requirements for this role? Please apply anyway. You might bring something special to the team that we hadn't considered previously.
