Job overview: The Team Coordinator, R&D is a pivotal support role at the heart of Compass' scientific engine. As a key partner to our research and development teams, you will provide the essential administrative and executive support that enables our Research & Development Leadership Team (RDLT) to pioneer the future of mental health treatment. Location: Hybrid in our London office (2x/week in-office). Reports to: VP, Manufacturing & Supply. This position will support various leadership roles within the R&D function. Position Overview: The Vice President is fully responsible for the overall coordination and management of the company’s core operations, covering key functions such as manufacturing, production planning, warehousing and logistics, quality management, technical support, equipment reliability, information systems, supply chain collaboration, and ESG management. Through efficient cross-functional collaboration, process optimization, and systematic execution, the VP ensures safe, stable, and high-quality operations that support the company's strategic goals and business growth. Key responsibilities 1. Operations Management (including Production, Planning, and Warehousing) · Oversee the development and execution of production, planning, and warehousing systems to ensure capacity alignment, timely material supply, and on-time delivery. · Drive the implementation of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, and other operational excellence tools. · Improve operational efficiency and cost control; promote digitalization and standardization of core processes. 2. Quality Management · Establish and maintain a quality management system to enhance product consistency and customer satisfaction. · Promote quality planning, process control, and issue resolution. · Promote preventive quality mechanisms and foster a culture of quality across all levels. 3. Equipment Management · Define equipment operation and maintenance strategies to increase uptime and reliability. · Promote equipment automation, smart manufacturing, and system integration. · Supervise the full lifecycle of equipment selection, implementation, and maintenance. 4. ABOUT THE ROLE * Location: Taichung, Taiwan * Reports to: VP, Global Quality The Director of Supplier & Manufacturer Quality is responsible for leading and executing the global supplier quality strategy across our supply base and contract manufacturing partners, with primary operational leadership based in Taiwan. This role ensures that all externally manufactured products and supplied components meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and operational excellence throughout the supply chain. The Director will build strong partnerships with suppliers and contract manufacturers, establish robust quality systems, and lead a high-performing regional quality team to support new product introduction (NPI), sustaining production, and supplier development initiatives. YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON [STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP] * Develop and execute the local supplier and contract manufacturer quality strategy aligned with business objectives. * Establish quality governance, metrics, and performance management systems across suppliers and CMs. * Drive risk-based supplier segmentation and oversight models. * Serve as the executive quality representative for Taiwan-based manufacturing operations. [SUPPLIER & CONTRACT MANUFACTURER QUALITY OVERSIGHT] * Ensure supplier and CM compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory frameworks. * Lead supplier qualification, onboarding, and performance monitoring processes. * Oversee supplier audits (on-site and remote), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives. * Establish and manage supplier scorecards and KPIs (PPM, OTD, cost of poor quality, audit findings, etc.). [ISSUE RESOLUTION & RISK MANAGEMENT] * Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for supplier-related quality issues. * Implement structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC, etc.). * Proactively identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies. * Escalate critical supplier issues to executive leadership as needed. [TEAM LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT] * Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing regional supplier quality team in Taiwan. * Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. * Provide coaching and development opportunities to strengthen technical and leadership capabilities. [CROSS-FUNCTIONAL & EXECUTIVE ENGAGEMENT] * Collaborate closely with Global Quality, Product Safety & Compliance, Engineering, Operations, and Procurement teams. * Influence sourcing decisions based on quality performance and risk assessment. * Provide executive-level reporting on supplier and CM quality performance. YOU BRING TO PELOTON [EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE] * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical discipline (Master’s preferred). * 12+ years of progressive experience in quality leadership roles, including supplier and/or contract manufacturer quality management. * Experience leading quality operations within Taiwan and broader Asia supply chains. * Demonstrated success managing global suppliers and complex manufacturing networks. * Experience in regulated industries preferred.
