As a Workday Integration Engineer in the WPP Enterprise Data Group, you will design, develop, and maintain REST API-based
integrations between Workday and the Work Management Data Spine platform. Workday is the strategic solution for both HCM and
Financials across WPP, and this role is critical to ensuring reliable, secure, and performant data flows for employee, financial,
absence, and organisational data across the enterprise.
You will leverage deep expertise in the Workday data model and REST APIs to build integration pipelines that extract and
synchronise data across both HCM and Financial domains. Your work will ensure that employee profiles, organisational hierarchies,
project accounting, client billing, and journal data is delivered accurately to the Data Spine for consumption by WPP Open Work
Management Platform.
This role requires expert-level understanding of Workday's REST API surfaces, the underlying HCM and Financial data models, and
how business objects relate across modules. You will also support the transition from the interim GPDS (Global People Data
Solution) to Workday HCM as agencies are progressively onboarded.
You will be joining a team delivering a critical data integration platform that connects WPP agencies to a centralised Work
Management solution, with the opportunity to become the subject matter expert for Workday integrations across the programme.

What you'll be doing: * Monitoring Workday integrations, keeping the integration lead updated with potential high impact issues. * Ensuring incidents are clearly and regularly updated to allow successful handover to the next timezone taking over in progress incidents. * Troubleshooting and resolving the most complex integration support issues in a timely manner. * Maintaining integration support issue list with new issues found. * Clearly document results/solutions as needed and updated existing documentation when necessary. * Responsible for development and enhancement of integrations as assigned on BAU, potential for involvement in integration aspects of new projects from inception. * Continually review integrations to make sure that they meet the highest standards possible. * Accountable for maintaining up to date integrations documentation and diagrams. * Engage positively with other IT teams and lead resolving issues across interconnected platforms. * Working with business partners to gather requirements for enhancements to existing integrations and delivery of new integrations as requested. * Maintain expertise on new integrations functionality/features/capabilities in Workday, wider industry, and technology trends. What you'll need: * Strong Workday integrations development and support experience with requirements gathering, analysis and solution design experience ideal. * Ability to understand business needs & requirements and turn into clear deliverables. * Experience of creating/supporting Workday integrations of multiple types: Studio, Core connectors, RaaS, EIB, Payroll integrations PECI/ PICOF, BIRT. * Good working knowledge of web service technologies (REST, SOAP, JSON, HTTP, SSL, PGP, SAML, etc). * Proficiency with XML, XPath and XSLT. * Understanding of HCM/Financials functionality and Workday integration best practices. * Any knowledge of Informatica would be an advantage. * Excellent technical understanding of SaaS platforms including integrations, security standards and data. * Ability to work with multiple external teams. * Strong ability to work with other platform/product teams to achieve goals. * Delivery and customer focused, with high energy and drive. We are looking for a Workday HCM and Integrations Test Lead to join the Workday Services Team providing full test and release/tenant management to all parts of the Workday programme in WPP, including projects, rollouts, upgrades & BAU releases. In the Workday test team, you will define test approach, test scope, plan, and estimates, create test concepts, support in test design, test case creation, test automation, test execution and reporting on test progress and quality status for several projects including country rollouts as well as BAU enhancements. In this role you will be a member of the Global QA Hub, working within the Workday Team, and reporting to the Workday Test & Release Manager. What you'll be doing: * Lead the entire project starting from scope, planning, execution, support, and closure of the project in Testing (HCM & Integrations). * Performing risk assessments and producing Test documentation e.g., test approaches, test plans, test cases, test scripts, and other related items. * Preparing and executing Testing for Project & BAU fixes/changes, to ensure they are completed in accordance with the Global Test Strategy. * Ensure that reporting and communication of plans, progress and issues is delivered in a timely and effective manner. * Developing, executing & maintaining manual scripts in the existing tool. * Responsible for entire E2E testing life cycle of the country rollout / BAU – for the entry and exit checklist of Unit Test, SIT/E2E, Regression and UAT until the Sign off each phase. * Own end-to-end test strategy, planning, governance, and stakeholder communication across projects and BAU. * Oversee automation strategy, ensuring implementation by QA teams while governing standards, coverage, and quality. * Accountable for maintaining up to date testing documentation. * Safeguard global standards and principles against competing requests and priorities. * Working with 3rd party teams to ensure testing is delivered correctly and on time. * Setting up Jira/Zephyr for project & BAU testing activities. * Able to communicate complex issues in a digestible form (to both business & technical teams). In this role you will be a member of the Global QA Hub, working within the Workday Services Team, and reporting to the Workday Tenant and Release Lead. You will be responsible for release coordination and tenant management activities, ensuring all Workday environments are up to date, correctly configured, and capable of supporting change, testing, integrations, and production operations. What you'll be doing: * Manage Workday tenants to ensure availability and stability for support, testing, and project activities. * Coordinate Workday releases and updates across tenants, including production deployments, in line with agreed release calendars. * Plan and coordinate tenant refresh activities, including impact assessment, scheduling, and post-refresh validation. * Own and maintain release and tenant-related tickets in Jira, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and timely progression. * Coordinate with QA, functional, integration, and security teams to ensure release readiness and acceptance criteria are met. * Support release governance activities, including CAB inputs, risk tracking, and dependency management. * Communicate system downtime, releases, patching, and maintenance windows to stakeholders. * Ensure adherence to global Workday standards, processes, and governance controls. * Actively contribute to continuous improvement of release, tenant, and deployment processes. What you'll need: * Experience in release management, tenant management, or application support within Workday Platform. * Experience using Jira, ServiceNow or similar ticketing and test management tools. * Understanding of how ERP systems operate in large, global organisations. * Good technical understanding of SaaS platforms, integrations (APIs, EIB, Web Services), and data flows. * Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple releases, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously. * Effective communication skills with the ability to work with multiple teams (QA, Functional, Integration, Security) and manage cross-team dependencies effectively. * Understanding of Workday feature release and ability to assess potential impacts across tenants, integrations and Security. * Experience supporting release governance, CAB processes, and deployment readiness activities is highly desirable.
