The Global Markets engineering team is focusing on evolving our guest and host experience for global markets through new product
initiatives to accelerate international growth. Expanding in under-penetrated global markets is a key pillar of our company's
growth strategy. To achieve this, we want to innovate in every sense of the word and adapt our product to every corner of the
globe. We want every user in each of our 220+ countries and regions to feel right at home.
We are a remote team based in different cities in China, and we meet up in person regularly to collaborate, connect and celebrate.
As a senior iOS engineer on the mobile team, you will tackle the unique technical challenges of building for global markets —
locale-aware UI, market-specific features and integrations, and performance optimization across diverse conditions. You will work
on projects spanning the full product surface, from signup/login, search, PDP, checkout, and reviews to foundational components
like maps, networking and logging.
You will partner closely with PMs, designers, data scientists, and engineers across both our China-based team and Global partner
teams to ship features that make millions of users across under-penetrated markets feel right at home. As a senior team member,
you will also play a key role in raising the engineering bar through code reviews, tech design reviews, and mentoring.

The Community Support Products (CSP) Machine Learning team is the core team responsible for driving CSxAI (Customer Support x Artificial Intelligence) initiatives by adopting the Generative AI technologies to enable an intelligent, scalable and exceptional service experience. The team develops and enhances various AI models, ML services and tools including LLM fine-tuning and optimization, RAG/Search, LLM evaluation and testing automation, feedback-based learning and guardrail for a wide range of applications in Airbnb. Your Expertise: * PhD/Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience * 4+ years of ML engineering experience, with ownership responsibility over large-scale software systems. * Background in the design and development of AI and ML systems and services, and a deep passion for building efficient and scalable ML-powered products * Experience with LLM driven chatbot and Agentic AI products would be a big plus * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team and with teams across the engineering, product & design organizations * Fluency in both English and Mandarin is essential. We're building the next-generation case management platform that gives a 360-degree view of every customer interaction, helping ambassadors resolve guest and host issues faster. At the same time, we're developing the centralized supervisor portal alongside agent quality systems that turn performance insights into actionable coaching signals. Our routing platform connects Airbnb customers to the right ambassador, through the right channel, at the right time.
