ABOUT SUMUP SumUp's New Markets field sales team is the engine behind our expansion into Eastern Europe and the Nordics — a region with real momentum and significant room to grow. Right now, our Territory Managers across markets including Austria, Croatia, Bulgaria, Belgium, Romania, Finland, and Denmark need a strong regional leader to unite them, sharpen their performance, and unlock the next phase of scale. As Regional Sales Manager, you'll manage up to 10 Territory Managers, each leading their own network of self-employed field sales consultants. This isn't a desk role — you'll be out in the field alongside your team roughly two weeks a month, setting the standard for what great looks like and building a sales culture that attracts, retains, and develops top talent. The opportunity here is real: this role directly enables SumUp to open new markets, reduce leadership bandwidth constraints, and build a field sales organisation that can grow sustainably. If you're a senior sales leader who thrives on complexity, autonomy, and tangible impact, this is the role for you. Our Strategic Account Executives target and close new business with Datadog’s largest, most strategic customers and prospects. In this role you’ll be focused on uncovering the pain points organizations face as they operate in or migrate to a cloud environment at scale as well as delivering the appropriate Datadog solution. What You’ll Do: * Prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies while running an efficient sales process * Maintain, build and own specific relationship maps for your territory including existing relationships and aspirational contacts * Develop a deep comprehension of customer's business * Negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises by selling value and ROI * Handle existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth into assigned territory * Demonstrate resourcefulness when faced with challenges that defy easy solution * Have intuitive sense of necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation * Identify robust set of business drivers behind all opportunities * Ensure high forecasting accuracy and consistency Who You Are: * Someone with 5+ years closing experience (mix of field selling within mid-market and enterprise) * Driven and have met/exceeded direct sales goals of 1M+ and operated with an average deal size of $100k+ * Able to demonstrate methodology to prospect and build pipeline on your own * Experienced in working for an innovative tech company (SaaS, IT infrastructure or similar preferred) * Experienced in selling into large Fortune 1000 companies with the ability to win new logos * Role requires regular travel to client sites, within your area and other regions, using various modes of transportation (car, train, air), depending on business needs. About the team SumUp's Field Sales team is the engine behind our merchant growth - the people who show up, build trust face-to-face, and help local businesses find a better way to get paid. This is SumUp's first Territory Manager hire in Oslo, which means you won't be inheriting a playbook - you'll be writing it. You'll own the Oslo field-sales motion from day one: proving the pitch yourself, building a network of freelance Field Sales Partners, and creating the commercial foundation for how we grow in Norway. What you'll do * Sell in the field yourself - visit Oslo merchants, test and refine the pitch, handle objections, and close deals * Build and run a simple, high-performance sales routine covering territory planning, prospecting, visits, conversion and activation * Recruit, onboard and coach freelance Field Sales Partners across relevant Oslo merchant segments including hospitality, retail and local services * Coach reps in the field and set the standard for activity quality and merchant experience * Identify the strongest local merchant opportunities and adapt coverage by area, vertical and rep capacity * Turn market learning into action quickly - refining targeting, messaging and field strategy as you go You'll be great for this role if… * Proven background in field sales or high-activity B2B sales, with experience in payments/POS, merchant services, retail tech, telecom, security/alarm, HoReCa supplier sales, FMCG field sales or a comparable territory-based environment * Track record of leading sellers, agents, contractors, resellers or commission-heavy sales teams in the field — not just from a desk * Strong commercial judgement with the ability to understand merchant objections and adapt the sales approach on the ground * Comfort building from an early stage: creating structure, setting standards and keeping people motivated in a demanding launch environment * Fluency in English; Norwegian language skills are strongly preferred for local merchant and Field Sales Partner engagement Why you should join SumUp * Opportunity to work with SumUppers globally on large-scale fintech products used by millions of businesses worldwide, from our Oslo base.
