THE ROLE As Lead Legal Engineer, you’ll operate as a player-coach: leading Legora’s most complex and high-impact client engagements while managing and developing a team of Legal Engineers. You’ll combine deep legal knowledge, product expertise, and people leadership to drive adoption, accelerate time-to-value, and deliver measurable outcomes across your clients and your team. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Leading enterprise-level pilots and implementations across multiple stakeholders and products, from discovery through go-live, with clear success metrics. * Owning priority client use cases end-to-end, shaping scalable onboarding and implementation frameworks. * Acting as a senior thought partner to clients, building trusted relationships with partners, legal ops, and innovation leaders. * Delivering executive-level demos, workshops, and presentations, clearly articulating value and handling complex objections. * Influencing internal teams (Product, Go-to-Market, Customer Success) on implementation strategy, setup, and handover. * Representing the voice of the customer, surfacing product gaps with evidence and driving them through to resolution. * Building and refining team processes, systems, and operating rhythms that scale delivery quality and team effectiveness as the Legal Engineering function grows. * Providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and career development support to drive individual and team growth. * Managing and developing a team of Legal Engineers, setting clear goals, expectations, and performance standards. * Leading hiring efforts for the Legal Engineering team, helping to attract and onboard top talent. WHAT YOU BRING You’ve built your career at the intersection of law, technology, delivery, and people leadership, and are comfortable owning complex work, leading senior conversations, and navigating ambiguity. You’ll thrive in this role if you: * Have a background in law, with experience at a top-tier firm, in-house legal team, or legal tech environment. * Have direct people management experience, including hiring, developing, and performance-managing a team in a client-facing or delivery environment. * Bring senior experience delivering complex client implementations or programmes with multiple stakeholders. * Are product-savvy and tech-curious, with a strong grasp of generative AI and legal workflows. * Communicate clearly and confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences. * Excel at stakeholder and programme management, influencing priorities and navigating high-stakes conversations. * Bring experience in legal tech or a technology-driven environment — a strong plus, though not required. * Bring structure to complexity, move quickly without sacrificing quality, and focus on outcomes over perfection. What You'll Do Let’s get the tricky part out of the way: this role doesn’t fit neatly into a traditional box. It’s part legal ops, part product specialist, part solutions architect, and part client whisperer. If you enjoy roles that stay static, this probably isn’t it. Your mission is to help our clients, some of the most respected legal teams in the world, get the absolute most out of our platform. Some of what you’ll be up to: * Acting as a thought partner to clients - building trusted relationships, addressing tricky pain points, and identifying high-value opportunities for them to scale their use of Legora. * Working together with Customer Success in taking full ownership of client relationship - from running pilots in the early stages, to onboarding new users, and ultimately guiding full-firm adoption across major law firms and corporate legal departments. * Be the voice of the user inside Legora - sharing insights that directly inform product development, roadmap priorities, and strategic direction. * Delivering clear, confident product demos and training that bring the power of our platform to life. * Documenting best practices, contribute to the development of scalable playbooks, and help shape how we grow this function globally. * Confidently helping our clients navigate one of the biggest shifts in how the legal business operates - from evaluating the ROI and impact of AI to clearly mapping how AI will impact different practice areas What You Bring You come from the world of law; but you’ve never been content with how things have always been done. You may have started out at a top-tier law firm. Maybe you’ve worked in a corporate legal team, seeing thorny operational problems from the inside. Perhaps you've even tried disrupting the status-quo through a legal tech company, or ventures of your own. Either way, you've had experience beyond the traditional legal career path. Either way, you know how legal teams think, work, and (sometimes) struggle and you're ready to help them level up with technology. * Have a background in law, with experience at a top-tier firm or in-house legal team. * Are tech-curious and product-savvy. Not necessarily a coder, but passionate navigating technical conversations, especially around things like generative AI, technology implementation, innovation and productivity . * Communicate clearly and confidently with diverse stakeholders, both lawyers and engineers. I.e. translating across disciplines is second nature to you. * Bring structure to ambiguity and energy to complexity; and enjoy being the calm, credible presence in a fast-moving environment. * Understand how to evaluate and improve existing processes as a direct result of new and emerging technologies * Are proactive, self-directed, and comfortable juggling multiple client relationships at once. * Care deeply about quality, but don’t get stuck in perfectionism - you get things done, and you make them better over time. Your mission is to help our clients, some of the most sophisticated tax and legal advisory teams in the world, get the absolute most out of our platform. * Acting as a thought partner to tax partners, legal advisory leaders, and consulting teams - building trusted relationships, addressing tricky pain points, and identifying high-value opportunities for them to scale their use of Legora across service lines and jurisdictions. * Working together with Go To Market and Customer Success in taking full ownership of client relationships - from running pilots with key practice areas, to onboarding new team members across tax, legal and consulting functions, and ultimately guiding firm-wide adoption across Big 4 and professional services firms. * Be the voice of tax and legal advisory users inside Legora - sharing insights from tax structuring teams, regulatory advisory practices, and legal consulting functions that directly inform product development, roadmap priorities, and strategic direction. * Delivering clear, confident product demos and training that bring the power of our platform to life - whether you're presenting to a tax partner, rolling out to a global advisory team, or training legal consulting professionals. * Documenting best practices from leading professional services firms, contribute to the development of scalable playbooks, and help shape how we grow this function globally. * Confidently helping tax and legal advisory teams navigate one of the biggest shifts in how professional services operate - from evaluating the ROI and competitive advantage of AI to clearly mapping how AI will impact different service lines, from tax compliance to regulatory advisory. What You Bring You come from the world of tax and legal advisory; but you've never been content with how things have always been done. You may have trained at a Big 4 firm, working across tax structuring, legal advisory, or consulting. Perhaps you've specialised in legal operations, innovation, or technology implementation within a professional services environment. Maybe you've even moved into legal tech or consultancy, helping advisory teams modernize and scale. Either way, you know how tax and legal advisory teams think, work, and (sometimes) struggle and you're ready to help them level up with technology. You'll thrive in this role if you: * Have a background in law or tax, with experience at a Big 4 firm or leading professional services practice - ideally with exposure to multiple service lines, jurisdictions, or innovation initiatives. * Are tech-curious and product-savvy. Not necessarily a coder, but passionate about navigating technical conversations, especially around things like generative AI, technology implementation, innovation and productivity. * Communicate clearly and confidently with diverse stakeholders, from tax partners to consulting leaders, and from lawyers to engineers.
