General Operative – Entry Level (Data Center Construction Sites)
Scrubs Contract Services AB provides workforce and support services across major data center construction sites in Gävle, Sweden, working alongside leading contractors in the sector. We are currently recruiting General Operatives for a variety of roles, including jailer, housekeeping, logistics, cleaning, and general site support positions.
About the role
As a General Operative, you will be assigned to one of several roles depending on site needs and your profile — such as jailer (controlled access/security-related duties), housekeeping, logistics support, or general cleaning. Full training and site induction will be provided.
Key responsibilities
Carrying out assigned duties to a high standard, following site procedures
Supporting day-to-day operations across different areas of the site (access control, materials, facilities, cleanliness, etc.)
Following strict health & safety procedures on an active construction site
Working as part of a team and coordinating with supervisors
Reporting any issues or hazards promptly
What we're looking for
Previous experience in a similar role preferred
Fluent English required (spoken and written)
Must have own car or otherwise be able to reach the site independently every day at 7:00 AM
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions
Willingness to work in a construction site environment
Flexibility to take on different tasks as required

Environmental Engineer to Sandviken Responsibilities Onsite environmental inspection duties, reporting to the project’s Environmental Manager and EHS Lead. Perform site walkovers with the site team/ supervisors and provide a written list of findings, agree actions to address non conformities (NC) issues with realistic dates reflecting the risk of the NC Provide monthly Environmental Progress Reports on incidents, resolutions or interventions. Perform incident investigations and track close outs for any environmental non-compliance. Perform audit checks of permits as well as managing the existing site based complaints system. Monitor, record and report on project waste management. Including the promotion and awareness around waste streams and waste minimisation. Ensure that all drains and potential entry points to watercourses are protected. Assess that all onsite discharges to watercourses should run clean water only and take mitigating actions if required. Identify and implement spill kit provision and training requirements Represent WTL for Client Environmental inspections and meetings and ensure reporting on close outs for any findings Provide a presence on site to oversee medium to high risk tasks and operations Promote best practice and progressive environmental management and provide information on ‘lessons learned’ and incidents feedback. Provide assistance to the Environmental Manager and be involved in all appropriate client meetings and the project decision making processes Will be required to stop works where bad practice or management is identified Ensure site noticeboards and key information points along the site hoarding contain sufficient levels of environmental information for site staff and the general public. Provide toolbox talks to make site staff aware of environmental best practice onsite behaviours and social sensitivities issues including what to do in the event of a public approach. Perform (alongside H&S and Site Manager) emergency practice scenarios, identify weaknesses in any existing approach and improvement plans Liaise with the H&S Site Officer to ensure any cross over risks are addressed appropriately Input on the updating of the project’s Construction Environmental Management Plan and work with the Environmental Manager to integrate the requirements effectively in conjunction with the client’s requirements and Winthrop’s wider corporate sustainability goals. Reviewing Construction Method Statements, processes and procedures to ensure they have considered all environmental risks and mitigate them appropriately. Liaise with Client LEED practitioner, coordinate collection of documentary evidence and site inspections to achieve targeted LEED Gold certification of the project Build a strong environmental culture on the project and drive environmental initiatives. Requirements · Relevant Environmentalist qualification or degree. · Strong understanding of environmental regulations and management principles · Relevant experience within the construction sector · Excellent communication and collaboration skills · Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment · Strong background in site supervision would beneficial. · Experience working on High-Tec, Industrial, pharma, data centre type projects would be beneficial but not essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform all Electrical and Instrumentation preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with client Facilities standards, safety procedures, and OEM recommendations. * Conduct 5-Year Infrared (IR) Scans on electrical panels, switchboards, MCCs, and equipment to identify temperature anomalies and early signs of failure. * Visually inspect electrical equipment for physical damage, corrosion, contamination, loose connections, missing covers, and incorrect labeling. * Verify that circuit schedules and panel labels match current as-built documentation and initiate updates where required. * Capture and document both infrared and visual images of all IR exceptions and categorize findings per the clients thermal severity criteria. * Generate and close Corrective Maintenance Work Orders (CMWOs) in CMMS for any identified deficiencies or exceptions. * Record amperage, phase balance, and load conditions for each scanned panel, updating PM records and labor entries in CMMS. * Ensure all corrective actions are completed and documented in accordance with the clients IR repair timelines and reporting matrix. * Execute AFD/VFD inspections on all facility drive systems, verifying operational parameters, configuration settings, labeling, and enclosure condition. * Check for signs of overheating, discoloration, vibration, or abnormal noise within VFD enclosures, and inspect internal components for cleanliness and integrity. * Validate the operation of cabinet fans, heaters, and air-conditioning units by adjusting thermostats and confirming correct response. * Verify and, if necessary, correct drive parameters per clients configuration standards. * Inspect and clean air filters, grilles, and intake/exhaust paths, ensuring proper airflow and dust protection. * STJ (Stop the Job) and escalate to engineering for any non-standard findings, abnormal readings, or internal filter installations. * Document all VFD findings, operational readings, and corrective actions in CMMS, ensuring full traceability. * Perform calibration and verification of instrumentation and control devices including temperature, humidity, pressure, level, and flow transmitters, and gas or chemical sensors. * Calibrate sensors to manufacturer and client Facilities tolerances using traceable calibration equipment and standards. * Document all calibration results, “as-found” and “as-left” data, and update calibration tags and records in CMMS. * Verify proper signal transmission, scaling, and controller response after each calibration. * Identify and report any damaged, drifting, or out-of-spec devices for replacement or engineering evaluation. * Maintain calibration records, certificates, and traceability logs in accordance with site QA/QC and audit requirements. * Ensure all electrical and instrumentation work is performed under safe conditions, following arc-flash labeling, PPE requirements, and LOTO procedures. * Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times, removing debris and securing tools and test equipment after completion. * Communicate equipment health, abnormal readings, and potential system risks promptly to Operations and Engineering teams. * Support continuous improvement by reporting recurring issues, recommending procedural enhancements, and contributing to lessons-learned documentation. * Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
