LotusWorks is seeking a Mechanical Quality & Commissioning Technician to support commissioning and startup activities within a semiconductor manufacturing facility in Arizona. This role will work closely with commissioning, construction, engineering, and operations teams to support project execution while ensuring systems are installed, documented, and prepared for turnover in accordance with project requirements. The successful candidate will have experience working with mechanical systems in industrial, semiconductor, or mission-critical environments. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform inspections of mechanical systems and equipment to verify compliance with project specifications and quality requirements. * Support startup and commissioning activities for mechanical exhaust fans, air handling units (AHUs), chillers, pumps, and associated equipment. * Conduct equipment walkdowns to verify installation quality, system readiness, and commissioning status. * Identify, document, and communicate deficiencies, punch-list items, and non-conforming work requiring corrective action. * Assist with pre-functional inspections, startup activities, and system validation testing. * Coordinate with construction, commissioning, engineering, and operations teams to support successful system startup and turnover. * Review commissioning documentation, inspection records, and test reports for accuracy and completeness. * Maintain accurate commissioning records, checklists, and turnover documentation. * Ensure compliance with site safety requirements and established commissioning procedures. * Support project turnover activities by verifying systems are ready for operational handoff. * Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role. SKILLS REQUIRED: * 3+ years of experience inspecting, starting up, commissioning, and troubleshooting mechanical equipment including exhaust fans, air handling units (AHUs), chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and hydronic water systems within mission-critical environments. * Experience in mechanical commissioning, startup, construction, quality, facilities, operations, or related technical roles. * Knowledge of mechanical system readiness, equipment startup, inspections, and commissioning processes. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, equipment documentation, and commissioning records. * Familiarity with hydronic water distribution systems and mechanical utility infrastructure. * Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills. * Knowledge of safe work practices within mission-critical, industrial, semiconductor, or manufacturing environments. * Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines. EDUCATION / LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred. * Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable. The Chemical and Gas (PSSS) Commissioning Engineer is responsible for supporting the commissioning and turnover of Process Support Systems (PSSS) within a semiconductor manufacturing facility. This role partners closely with construction teams, equipment vendors, contractors, and client stakeholders to ensure chemical and gas systems are safely transitioned from construction to operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and able to effectively coordinate activities across multiple disciplines in a fast-paced environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Coordinate the handover, commissioning, and turnover of chemical and gas cabinets within a semiconductor manufacturing facility. * Support commissioning activities for Process Support Systems (PSSS), ensuring systems are prepared for safe startup and operational readiness. * Work closely with construction teams, contractors, equipment vendors, and client representatives to facilitate successful system turnover and commissioning activities. * Coordinate daily commissioning schedules, track progress against project milestones, and communicate status updates to project stakeholders. * Verify system readiness by confirming completion of construction activities, documentation, inspections, and required pre-commissioning checks. * Participate in field walkdowns to identify incomplete work, deficiencies, or punch list items that could impact commissioning or turnover activities. * Assist in coordinating equipment startup, functional testing, and system verification activities in accordance with approved commissioning procedures. * Identify, communicate, and help resolve issues affecting commissioning schedules, system readiness, or project execution while escalating concerns as appropriate. * Maintain accurate commissioning documentation, turnover packages, testing records, and project tracking logs throughout all phases of the commissioning process. * Ensure commissioning activities are performed in accordance with site safety requirements, quality standards, project specifications, and client procedures. * Support coordination between multiple disciplines to ensure commissioning activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in the correct sequence. * Foster strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to promote effective communication, collaboration, and successful project execution. * Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role. SKILLS REQUIRED: * Understanding of commissioning and system turnover processes within industrial or semiconductor manufacturing environments. * Familiarity with Process Support Systems (PSSS), including chemical distribution systems, specialty gas systems, and associated support equipment is preferred. * Ability to interpret engineering drawings, equipment documentation, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and commissioning procedures. * Working knowledge of construction completion, punch list management, and turnover documentation processes. * Ability to identify system deficiencies, communicate issues effectively, and support timely resolution. * Experience coordinating activities with contractors, equipment vendors, and cross-functional project teams. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using project tracking or document management systems is preferred. * Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. * Ability to adapt to changing project priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism. * Willingness to learn semiconductor facility processes, commissioning methodologies, and client-specific standards. As a Certified Welding Inspector working with the LotusWorks team, you will join our client site in the semiconductor sector. This role is based at a leading semiconductor manufacturing facility in Chandler, Arizona and will support construction quality activities across mechanical, process mechanical, and structural systems during facility expansion and construction projects. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform welding inspections in accordance with applicable codes, standards, project specifications, and quality requirements. * Conduct visual inspections of welds on stainless steel, carbon steel, and plastic piping systems, as well as structural components. * Review and interpret Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and related quality documentation. * Verify the qualification of welders and welding operators. * Monitor welding activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures, project requirements, and safety protocols. * Identify, document, and track welding deficiencies and verify corrective actions. * Prepare and maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and turnover documentation. * Collaborate with construction, quality, engineering, and client teams to resolve welding-related issues. * Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and project standards. * Support project turnover activities through completion of required inspection and quality documentation. * Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes and project execution. * Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role. SKILLS REQUIRED: * Experience in welding inspection, preferably within semiconductor construction, industrial construction, mission-critical facilities, advanced manufacturing, or similar environments. * Experience inspecting welds on stainless steel, carbon steel, and plastic piping systems. * Knowledge of mechanical, process mechanical, and structural construction practices. * Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and quality standards. * Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, isometric drawings, and welding documentation. * Familiarity with construction quality control and inspection processes. * Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills. * Effective communication and teamwork abilities. * Commitment to maintaining a safe and quality-focused work environment. EDUCATION / LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS * Must possess a current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification through the American Welding Society (AWS) or equivalent. * Additional certifications related to welding inspection or quality assurance are preferred. * Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
