The team innovates and collaborates to provide crucial contextual data and vital APIs to both internal and external consumers. Within the Volvo Cars Engineering organization, we help people (and AI systems) orient themselves in a complex product landscape by providing the right context through well-structured data. As the product grows in complexity, so does the data—our job is to make that complexity usable by transforming it into reliable, discoverable datasets and APIs that power analytics, applications, and AI. What you'll do As a Software Developer, you will build a data-driven application that transforms complex product information into reliable, discoverable datasets and APIs. You will design and operate batch pipelines, real-time querying systems, or a combination of both—depending on the use case and business needs.   A fundamental challenge for us is combining large-scale data with low latency. We operate on massive datasets, while ensuring that consumers can access relevant subsets quickly and efficiently. We are in a crucial phase of the project, designing the next generation of our product. You will directly contribute to the design and development of core capabilities. Job description: Let's introduce ourselves Within Vehicle Engineering, more than 2,000 colleagues work together across chassis, interior, climate, body and exterior functions, mechanical integration, and vehicle attributes that shape design and customer experience.   Software plays a crucial role in our product development, and within Software Factory & Release, we lead the software development framework to ensure fast, high quality integration and release of software for Vehicle Engineering.   We are now looking for a Software Engineering Analyst to help design, develop, and scale our next generation test frameworks and environments for Software in the Loop (SIL) and Hardware in the Loop (HIL) validation. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our CI/CD driven development ecosystem, building the automation backbone that enables fast, reliable, and scalable verification of complex embedded software systems. Responsibilities: Developing, maintaining and optimizing the CI/CD pipelines for uninterrupted software builds and integrations. Proactively monitoring CI pipelines and resolving the issues and errors. Developing and maintaining automated test cases aligned with gate scope Executing sanity checks, baseline qualification, and extended tests as part of CI/CD workflows Analyze test results and contribute to fault reporting and resolution. Performing fault tracing and advanced troubleshooting within owned domain. Collaborate with test engineers to improve test automation coverage and efficiency. Analyze complex test requirements and translate them into robust automated solutions using Python, CAPL, and C#. Integrate new test methods and technologies, ensuring compliance with our quality and safety standards. Maintain and support test environments (boxcars, VIL rigs), including remote and on-site activities as needed. Mentor junior developers and contribute to the technical direction of the automation team. Qualifications: M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent. 3-10 years of automotive experience in CI/CD engineering, software integration, testing and automation. Experience in Boxcar and VIL (Vehicle-in-the-loop) rig testing. Proficiency in programming languages: Python, CAPL, C/C#, and scripting for test automation. Experience in CI tools Cynosure, Jenkins, Zuul, GitLab, Ansible, Bazel. Experience in tools Git/Gerrit, Victoria, Grafana, YAML, Bash, Groovy, Artifactory, Docker, AWS, Vector CANoe, vTESTstudio.
