YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Join our team as a Security Engineer to help clients ship software that stands up to attackers. We're hiring at the junior to mid-level, so whether you're early in your security career or have a couple of years of hands-on experience, we are looking for an ethical hacker at heart who thinks like an attacker. You’ll build and improve the tooling behind our software assurance work, run attacker-mindset audits across enterprise, Web3, and AI-powered systems, and work directly with client teams to strengthen their SDLC. If you have a passion for security tooling, code assurance, AI security, and hands-on consulting, we want to hear from you! * Tooling: Build and maintain tooling that powers our security reviews, including our in-house fuzzing framework and static/dynamic analysis pipelines. * Code audits: Conduct attacker-mindset code audits across enterprise and Web3 systems, including blockchain runtimes and smart contracts, using and extending our fuzzing framework. * AI & agentic security: Assess AI/LLM-powered applications and agentic systems for exploitable weaknesses (e.g. prompt injection, insecure tool use, data leakage) and explore how AI can be used to augment our own audits and tooling. * Reporting: Produce high-quality technical reports and presentations. * Client advisory: Advise clients on SDLC improvements, verify remediations, and help track risk-reduction KPIs * Remediation: Work closely with client developers of the client project team to report and remediate the discovered issues * Community & training: Participate in hacking exercises, contribute to our Security Ambassador program, and conduct developer trainings WHAT DO YOU BRING? * Security fundamentals: Understanding of software security fundamentals, secure architecture, and threat modeling across enterprise and Web3/blockchain systems. * AI/LLM security: Curiosity about AI/LLM security risks (prompt injection, model or data exfiltration, agentic tool misuse) or hands-on experience probing AI systems. * Vulnerability research: Track record of finding and exploiting real-world vulnerabilities (CTFs, bug bounties, pentests, or independent research): this role is for hands-on ethical hackers, security engineers. * Tooling & automation: Strong ability to automate and build tools for security review (static/dynamic analysis, fuzzing, CI integrations. * Communication: Excellent communication skills in English and German is a plus. * Languages: Familiarity with RUST, C/C++, GO and solidity are a plus. * Consulting mindset: Comfortable advising clients directly, explaining risk clearly, and guiding remediation. * Hacker mindset: A passion to grow in security. ABOUT THE ROLE The Technology Data and Intelligence (TDI) team at Okta is dedicated to boosting internal efficiency through the implementation of secure, scalable, and innovative systems. We are seeking an independent Senior Software Engineer to join our formed Sales and Partners Technology Team.  In this role, you will be the technical anchor for our partner ecosystem technology. You will balance core software engineering excellence (API design, code quality, security) with deep specialization in our Partner Relationship Management (PRM) platform, IMPartner. Your primary focus will be on maintaining, enhancing, and expanding the capabilities of the IMPartner platform and ensuring its seamless, secure integration with Salesforce.    Requirements:  * Solution Design and Architecture: Architect and design secure, scalable solutions by translating complex business requirements into technical specifications and solution designs that leverage the IMPartner platform's capabilities and its necessary integration points with Salesforce. Deep focus on the Partners and PRM domain.Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement integrations between Salesforce, Okta’s Partner portals, partner portal tenant, and other cross-functional downstream systems to ensure a seamless data flow (ex. for partner account and contact, accreditation and certification, partner badges, program benefit administration, deal registration and partner program performance and pipeline visibility, etc.). * Technical Implementation: Lead the translation of user stories into robust, scalable technical designs. Responsible for the end-to-end execution of features, ensuring alignment with organizational standards. * Quality Assurance and Testing: Ensure 100% unit test coverage for all new logic. Build and maintain an automated test regression suite to minimize manual overhead and proactively identify regressions. * Code and Peer Mentorship: Conduct thorough Pull Request (PR) reviews, providing constructive feedback to junior and mid-level developers to maintain code quality and consistency. * Deployment and Release Support: Manage the deployment cycle, including documenting all changes, securing necessary Jira approvals, resolving environment-specific test issues, and performing final validation in Production. * Global Collaboration & Ownership: Demonstrated strong ownership and the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional, global teams and stakeholders. Required Qualifications * Extensive knowledge of PRM platforms with (proven experience in IMPartner is a big plus) * Salesforce Development Expertise (5+ years): Proven proficiency in Salesforce development, including Apex, Process/Flow Automations, and Lightning Web Components (LWC). * Software Development Acumen (1-2 years): background in general software engineering principles, with experience in either Java, Python, or JavaScript. * Domain Specific Knowledge: In-depth knowledge and practical experience within the Sales and Partners ecosystem, specifically around partner lifecycle management, deal registration, and incentive programs. * Advanced AI Agent Frameworks & Data Processing: Expertise in modern AI agent or agentforce frameworks, orchestration techniques, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, and advanced vector search methodologies. * CI/CD Pipeline Proficiency: Hands-on experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines  * Secure Salesforce Solution Development: Deep understanding and practical application of Salesforce security features, adherence to data privacy regulations, and implementation of best practices for secure solution development. * Communication, & Problem-Solving: Possesses excellent communication and robust problem-solving abilities. Capable of independently driving technical direction, mentoring team members, fostering collaboration, and effectively managing all project aspects. Preferred Qualifications (Extra Credit) * Official IMPartner trainings are a plus  * Salesforce certifications, such as Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect, or Technical Architect. * Previous work in a high-growth, SaaS, fast-paced technology company.
