ABOUT US STARK is a new kind of defence technology company revolutionising the way autonomous systems are deployed across multiple domains. We design, develop, and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are software-defined, mass-scalable, and cost-effective - providing operators with a decisive edge in contested environments. We are focused on delivering deployable, high-performance systems - not future promises. In a time of rising threats, STARK is bolstering the technological edge of NATO Allies and their Partners to deter aggression and defend Europe, today. YOUR MISSION As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will act as the vital bridge between R&D and mass production. Your primary focus is on Industrialization, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Risk Mitigation (FMEA). You will embed yourself with the R&D team early in the design phase to ensure that next-generation products are optimized for high-yield, cost-effective, and scalable manufacturing. RESPONSIBILITIES * DFM/DFA Integration: Collaborate closely with R&D during early design cycles. Conduct rigorous Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews to simplify designs and prepare them for automated production. * FMEA Leadership: Lead and document Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) workshops to proactively identify manufacturing risks and implement effective mitigation strategies. * Industrialization: Own the manufacturing ramp-up during. Track and manage the transition from prototype builds to pilot runs and eventual mass production. * Quality & Validation: Define early-stage quality criteria, design assembly fixtures, and collaborate with quality teams to validate that production processes meet product specifications. * General ME Support: Provide technical feedback to R&D regarding manufacturing capabilities, tolerance stack-ups, and material selection impact on production. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. * Proven track record in NPI/Industrialization environments, successfully transitioning products from engineering labs to the factory floor. * High proficiency in running PFMEAs and applying DFM/DFA principles. Strong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks, Creo, etc.) are essential. For further information please reach out to talent@stark-defence.com.
ABOUT THE ROLE This is Metaview's first in-house recruiter, working directly with Shahriar, co-founder & CTO. It's a full-cycle role with the expectation that you'll do "the whole thing" and some. To name a few, this means: * Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of top-tier technical candidates to support current and future hiring needs. * Proactively sourcing, engaging, and nurturing relationships with top technical talent using various sourcing tools and strategies. * Screening and assessing candidate qualifications and fit for open positions. * Continuously refining and improving pitches to attract top tier candidates. * Maintaining accurate and organized candidate data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). * Fostering a world-class candidate experience by ensuring timely communication and engagement. * Staying up to date with industry best practices and emerging tools. At Metaview, we want everyone to do the best work of their lives here. For this role, success means looking back with pride, knowing you played a key part in building one of the most legendary teams in history. That's our goal—anything less isn't worth our time. ABOUT YOU * You're fiercely ambitious and fundamentally interested in doing great work. * You're passionate about your craft and it feels weird to call it "work". * You have a track record of full-cycle technical recruiting for a product company, consistently finding and closing world-class talent at different seniority levels. * You have a track record of being relentlessly resourceful. * You use AI to be a 10x recruiter. * You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an authentic (i.e., not overly "professional") communication style. * You don't take yourself too seriously. A wry sense of humour is always appreciated! * You're excited about being a vocal advocate for our products, especially given that we're shaping the future of the recruiting space. ABOUT WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH We're a small team, so you'll work quite closely with everyone. Your primary sparring partner, however, will be Shahriar—Metaview's co-founder & CTO. Hear directly from him about what it's like to work with him: I care about nothing more than the team we build—literally. This means I view our recruiting activities as the most critical work we do as a company. However, I'm not an easy person to work with. I'm intense and highly opinionated. I hold myself—and consequently, those around me—to the highest performance standards or, at a minimum, expect them to possess the drive to reach that level. I deeply value curiosity and initiative. Honestly, only a genuine passion for your craft will enable you to successfully partner with me. If this is just 'work' to you, you'll eventually come to resent me. ABOUT WHERE YOU’LL WORK This role is based in our San Francisco office, located at 75 Federal Street. You'll be expected to work from the office at least three days a week: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
