INTRO Hamburg | Hybrid with 3 days onsite | €50.000 - €60.000 p.a. (40 hrs/week) | 30 days vacation | German / English C1 Are you excited about owning People Operations for a team that's scaling as fast as the energy transition itself? We've got the basics – Personio's set up, some processes exist. What's missing is someone who owns it full-time, end-to-end. Join suena energy as People Operations Manager (f/m/x) and turn what's currently pieced together into something that actually scales as we grow. suena energy is a green tech startup specializing in algorithmic energy trading for energy storage systems and renewable energies. Our vision: a world where clean energy is used reliably, economically, and intelligently. With our AI-based optimization and trading software, we maximize the revenues of operators of large-scale energy storage and renewable assets on short-term electricity and balancing markets - while simultaneously minimizing their risks. We're a 50+ person team that's fast-paced by nature, but the kind of place where people actually look out for each other. Following our successful Series A, we're investing in expanding our team – and we're excited to strengthen our team with new talent and continue growing together! YOUR MISSION * Own People Operations end-to-end – from Personio and contract changes to parental leave, health insurance, and visa topics. * Turn one-off cases into repeatable processes – research it once, document it, and set it up so the next person doesn't start from zero. * Centralize and own our onboarding into one process, instead of split across the team. * Own HR compliance end-to-end – workplace safety, first-aid and fire-safety officers, mandatory trainings – and make sure we stay compliant as we grow. * Catch what's missing before anyone has to ask – double-check the details, flag what needs fixing, follow through. * Co-own culture with Marietta, our People Lead – team rituals, internal comms, the things that make suena feel like suena. * Take on strategic People projects as you grow into the role, with room to develop toward HR Business Partner work. YOUR PROFILE * Hands-on People Operations experience – you've owned the employee lifecycle, not just supported someone who did. * You navigate German bureaucracy – labor law, social security, health insurance, visa topics – and you always know what actually matters. * Personio know-how – ideally you've set up or automated workflows in it. * You own problems, not just tasks – you build what's missing, flag what's broken, and fix it without being asked. * Employee-facing at heart – approachable, service-minded, and genuinely invested in how people experience working here, not just compliance from behind a desk. * Direct communicator – you raise issues and push back when something's off. * Fluent in German and English (C1 each) – working language is English, German law runs in German. * Already doing payroll, or open to growing into it? Either's fine. WHY US? * People at the Core: Clear structures, democratic decisions, and a feedback culture where your voice counts. * Shape the Future: Contribute to the energy transition by working on sustainable energy solutions in a growing market environment. * Connecting & Co-Creating: Strategy off-sites and onsite weeks for real collaboration and shared ideas. * Work Your Way: Home office and flexible hours – you know what works best for you and your team. * Good Vibes:Yoga, shared lunches, after-work fun – we keep the energy up, even when it's busy. * Body & Mind: Urban Sports Club membership, wellbeing check-ins, and mental health support – your energy matters. * New Office: 10th-floor office with rooftop terrace, canteen, great views, ergonomic desks, hardware of your choice, and a pet-friendly environment. * Sustainable Extras: Deutschlandticket, FutureBens, and more – supporting your mobility and future. WHAT ELSE? We look forward to receiving your application, earliest start is as soon as possible. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out - your contact is Marietta (People Lead).
