VP PRODUCT – AI FOR PRECISION MEDICINE THE ROLE We are looking for a senior, software-native execution leader with strong medical domain expertise to join our leadership team and report directly to the Founder & CEO. This role combines product leadership with strong operational execution and medical understanding. This role combines strategic product leadership with hands-on operational execution. You will take ownership of how software products and projects are built, delivered, and scaled at Mindpeak. YOUR MISSION Your mission is to ensure that strategy turns into reliable execution. You will build and scale the operating backbone of our software organization by introducing clear ownership, predictable delivery, and sustainable leadership structures. At the same time, you genuinely enjoy enabling others. You see developing junior leaders not as a side task, but as a central responsibility. You actively coach, mentor, and empower team leads to grow into confident, accountable, high-performing managers. THIS MEANS: * Bringing clarity to priorities: grounded in medical relevance and real clinical impact * Introducing pragmatic, software-native processes suited for regulated medical AI * Ensuring commitments are met and accountability is lived across teams * Embedding execution discipline into daily operations without creating bureaucracy * Actively mentoring and enabling junior leaders, helping them grow into confident, capable decision-makers You are someone who does not just design systems, you make them stick. And you take pride in growing the people who run them. WHAT YOU’LL DO LEADERSHIP & ENABLEMENT * Lead and mentor 4 direct reports (team/project leads) and support a group of approximately 10–15 team members across multiple project teams. * Actively coach junior leaders, helping them grow in ownership, decision-making, and communication. * Establish a strong leadership culture focused on accountability, clarity, and mutual support. Create an environment where leaders are empowered, not dependent. * You have a genuine passion for developing people and take pride in seeing others grow under your guidance. PRODUCT & DELIVERY EXCELLENCE * Professionalize our product and project delivery setup. * Introduce clear prioritization frameworks and operating rhythms. * Ensure alignment between medical, regulatory, engineering, and commercial perspectives. * Balance agility with regulatory rigor (ISO 13485, IVDR, FDA environments). * Ensure reliable execution, predictable delivery, and high product quality. * Ensure that once processes are introduced, they are sustainably implemented and followed. This role is about making sure “the PS get on the road” and stay there. MEDICAL & DOMAIN LEADERSHIP * Bring strong medical understanding into product discussions and prioritization. * Translate clinical requirements into structured product decisions. * Ensure that our AI solutions reflect real-world clinical workflows and medical needs. * Act as a credible sparring partner to medical stakeholders and clinical partners. You understand not only how software is built, but also how medicine works. SOFTWARE-NATIVE OPERATIONS * Design and implement pragmatic, non-dogmatic agile or hybrid delivery models suited for regulated AI software. Ensure QMS and regulatory processes are actually followed in daily work. * Improve transparency across projects, documentation systems, and cross-functional collaboration. * Create clear feedback loops and KPIs for delivery performance. You understand how modern software products are built and you know why rigid waterfall approaches fail in dynamic environments. STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP * Act as sparring partner to the CEO on product direction, organizational structure, and scaling decisions. * Contribute to long-term operating model design. * Align product, engineering, regulatory, and commercial priorities. YOUR PROFILE * Strong medical background (e.g., MD, pathology experience, clinical experience, or deep experience in regulated medical software environments). * Proven experience scaling teams and processes in a growing tech or software organization (e.g., from ~50 to 100+ employees). * Strong background in software product development and delivery — ideally in regulated environments. Experience leading product and/or engineering teams in practice, not only managing operations conceptually. * Track record of introducing processes that were not only designed but successfully embedded. * Deep understanding of modern software development (agile/hybrid approaches), with a pragmatic, non-dogmatic mindset. * Strong execution drive: you follow through until things work sustainably. * Low ego, hands-on, analytical, and decisive. * Comfortable navigating engineering, regulatory, medical, and commercial interfaces. * Passion for building leadership capability within an organization. * Fluent in English; German is a plus. * Based in Hamburg with regular on-site presence. WHO THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR * Pure strategy consultants looking for a planning role. * Leaders who prefer designing frameworks over implementing them. * Operations managers without deep understanding of software product development. WHY MINDPEAK * The opportunity to build AI systems that power both clinical cancer diagnostics and data-driven drug development. * An open, creative work environment with flat hierarchies and quick decision-making. * Be part of an excellent leadership team that invests in continuous development through regular workshops, peer exchange, and coaching * Diverse, engaging projects that help you deepen both your technical and domain expertise. * A centrally located Hamburg office with a beautiful view over the harbor. * We offer an equity component in the compensation, reflecting the strategic importance of this role. APPLICATION DETAILS Please send us: * Your CV * Job references * Your salary expectations and the earliest possible starting date Contact: * Email: jobs@mindpeak.ai Note: Direct applicants only. LONDON/HYBRID £60,000 - £80,000 + SHARE OPTIONS UP TO £31,500 + BENEFITS 💬 ACCURX IS WHERE CONVERSATIONS HAPPEN WITH AND ABOUT PATIENTS. For decades, the NHS has struggled with fragmented systems that make simple tasks feel impossible. We’re changing that by building a single, system-wide platform that connects everyone through communication. What started as a way for GPs to text a patient has now evolved into an all-in-one digital toolkit used by 98% of GP practices. Our platform now powers Total Triage to manage patient demand, and Self-Book, which lets patients schedule their own appointments in seconds. We’ve automated routine care with Patient Questionnaires for long-term conditions, while Accumail finally allows staff-to-staff communication to happen instantly across different care settings. We’re now pushing the boundaries of the consultation itself with Accurx Scribe, our AI-powered note-taker that drafts medical notes in real-time. THE TEAM We have a massive vision and even more ideas, but right now, our ambitions are outstripping our capacity. We’re looking for a Senior Product Analyst who is ready to be a foundational force in our data function - not just reporting on what happened, but identifying what needs to happen next. At Accurx, we don't just wait for a roadmap to be handed down; we expect you to help shape it. As a Senior, you’ll be a strategic partner to your pod leads, proactively hunting for the insights that will define our next move. You’ll be expected to challenge our assumptions, lead high-stakes projects from end-to-end, and act as a mentor to those around you. This is a role for a high-agency critical thinker who is energised by the "blank canvas" of a growing function and has the drive to turn raw data into a better reality for millions of patients. CHALLENGES YOU’LL SOLVE... * You will translate product vision into measurable strategy by partnering deeply with Pod Leads to define what success looks like and ensuring every initiative is backed by a robust measurement framework. * You will lead our experimentation initiatives by independently proposing and running A/B tests - or other rigorous methodologies- to validate product hypotheses and influence our direction. * You will interrogate user behaviour to find the "why" by leading end-to-end analytical projects that look past the surface to find the underlying drivers of engagement and retention. * You will build the engine for self-service insights by creating the dashboards and mental models that ensure your pod has high-quality data at their fingertips to move fast. YOU SHOULD APPLY IF... * You are a strategic investigator who identifies trends and bottlenecks before they are raised as tickets, effectively using data to tell us what we should be doing next. * You have a proven track record of influencing product through strong "Product Thinking," with deep expertise in conversion funnels, activation, retention, and cohort analysis. * You are an independent project leader who can take a vague business question and turn it into a structured, technical investigation without needing a map. * You have a high-level technical toolkit, with mastery of SQL and the ability to use Python * You are a mentor and a multiplier, excited to share your knowledge, elevate the technical bar of the team, and help others communicate their findings more clearly. * You are a power user of product analytics tools like Mixpanel or Amplitude, capable of setting the standard for how we track and visualise user behaviour across the platform. WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME? You'll be joining an established but fast-growing Tech for Good movement, where we're led by our Principles and our mission to fix healthcare communication * £60,000 - £80,000 salary + share options up to £31,500 * Benefits to suit you: adjust your healthcare cover, your pension or life insurance, whatever stage you’re at in life * Flexible working: We are an office-first culture and ask that you’re in our (dog-friendly) Shoreditch office 3 days a week, with core hours of 10am - 4pm * Time off: You’ll get 28 days of holiday (plus bank holidays) and up to 4 weeks to work from anywhere per year * Family matters: We offer enhanced parental leave, fertility support and parental loss support * We have our very own Chef! Free healthy breakfasts, snacks and lunches will be provided, with the occasional sweet treat!
