About the role
As a Service Reliability Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the availability, stability, and operational reliability of our customer-facing services. You act as a central coordination point across Product, Development, Operations, customer-facing teams, and external partners.
Your focus is to proactively prevent service disruptions, manage incidents effectively when they occur, and continuously improve how we work with reliability across the organization.
You coordinate incident management, release readiness, and operational communication, ensuring the right stakeholders are involved at the right time. In the event of incidents, you take on a leading coordination role, creating clarity, structure, and momentum in situations where it matters most.
You also monitor service performance through SLAs, SLOs, and operational metrics, identify risks related to dependencies, and drive improvements through follow-ups, root cause analysis, and close collaboration with teams across the business.
This is a role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, operations, and communication — and who wants to build reliable services together with others, rather than owning them alone.
About you
We believe you are a structured and communicative professional who is comfortable taking ownership in complex and sometimes high-pressure situations. You enjoy bringing clarity when things are uncertain, and you build trust by coordinating people, processes, and information in a thoughtful and pragmatic way.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in service reliability, incident management, operations, service delivery, or similar roles in a technical environment
Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and working with both technical and business stakeholders
A solid understanding of service availability, operational risk, production readiness, and continuous improvement
Experience working with SLAs, SLOs, operational metrics, or similar frameworks
Strong communication skills and the ability to create structure and clarity, especially during incidents or time-critical situations
Fluent in English and Swedish, Dutch and/or Danish is a plus
It’s a bonus if you have experience in roles such as Incident Coordinator, Service Delivery Manager, or similar, along with familiarity with ITIL, change management, release governance, or operational readiness practices. Experience with monitoring and observability tools, incident tooling, status pages, or coordinating external suppliers and partners is also a plus.
As a person, you are collaborative, analytical, and comfortable making decisions when needed. You remain calm and focused under pressure, and you take a proactive approach to identifying risks and driving improvements. You enjoy working closely with others and contribute to a culture where reliability is a shared responsibility across teams.

Overview As a Data Center Technician (DCT) within Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) organisation, you will help build, maintain, and support the infrastructure that powers Microsoft's global cloud services. In this hands-on role, you will deploy and configure hardware, perform troubleshooting and diagnostics, and support hardware refreshes and decommissioning activities. Responsibilities Deploy, install, configure, and stage datacentre hardware according to established standards and procedures. Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to quickly identify and resolve hardware issues while minimising operational impact. Replace faulty components and perform hardware repairs following standard operating procedures. Conduct post-deployment quality checks, ensuring equipment is correctly staged, labelled, grounded, and cabled. Execute hardware decommissioning activities, including upgrades, refreshes, and simple infrastructure changes. Follow established incident management processes, escalating issues to appropriate technical and operational teams when required. Support and provide guidance to technicians working on complex tasks and projects. Complete role-specific training and continuously develop technical knowledge and operational expertise. Collaborate effectively with teammates by sharing knowledge, participating in team discussions, and supporting operational goals. Demonstrate accountability for service quality, operational excellence, and the overall customer experience. Maintain compliance with Microsoft security, safety, and data management requirements. As a BMS Engineer based in Gävle, Sweden, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and support of Building Management Systems (BMS) within mission-critical data center environments. Working in high-availability data centers, you will ensure that critical building systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting both planned maintenance and reactive service activities. Key Responsibilities Install, commission, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Building Management Systems (BMS) and field control systems within data centers. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and support for critical infrastructure. Support automation and controls projects, including commissioning of new installations and system upgrades. Modify, program, and interrogate BMS software, control strategies, graphics, and system databases. Monitor and optimize HVAC, cooling, ventilation, and other critical building services to maximize energy efficiency and system performance. Diagnose faults quickly and implement effective corrective actions to minimize downtime in mission-critical environments. Ensure all maintenance and project work is completed in accordance with health, safety, and industry standards. Produce detailed service reports, commissioning documentation, and technical records. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients, contractors, and on-site operations teams. Required Skills & Experience Previous experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS) in commercial or mission-critical environments. Experience operating, maintaining, commissioning, and troubleshooting HVAC and mechanical building services. Experience with Niagara BMS systems. Experience with BMS software programming, graphics, alarms, trends, and control strategies. Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills in live operational environments. Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations, risk assessments, and safe working practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare technical documentation and build positive customer relationships. Experience working in data centers or other critical infrastructure environments is highly desirable.
