We’re looking for Data Engineers with proven senior-level experience to join the Equal Experts
network.
Our Data Engineers are highly skilled in creating data pipelines for ingest, transformation and storage of
data, usually at scale, and are familiar with standing-up analytics clusters.
This role involves using modern agile technical practices - including Continuous Integration and
Deployment, TDD, and XP - to deliver timely and pragmatic solutions, as well as helping others to do
their jobs in a more effective way.

Responsibilities
● Working with the client and the team to determine data processing and access needs and how
best to deliver them.
● Creation and support of highly available data pipelines and storage solutions (e.g. data
warehouses).
● Delivery of software using agile (pair programming, TDD, CI/CD, etc) practices.
● Automation of data infrastructure and deployments.
● Advocating agile practices to the client organisation.
● Mentoring client team members.
● Helping improve the team and clients’ data capabilities.
Required Skills
● Significant experience working on data pipelines, platforms and projects.
● Experience in developing solutions in one or more of the main Cloud providers (AWS, GCP,
Azure).
● Strong background in at least one programming language, Python or Scala preferable.
● Working with a variety of databases, data warehouses and distributed file systems in production
environments.
● Strong experience in SQL and data modeling.
● Exposure with data processing at scale.
● Knowledge about GDPR and data security. Working with source control and infrastructure as code (Git/Github, Terraform, ansible
etc.) and CI/CD tools.
● Understanding and being able to support data scientists or business intelligence teams - in data
prep, mentoring and support functions.
● Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively
while working remotely with globally distributed teams.

As a member of the team you will work alongside our clients to help design and deliver solutions to meet business requirements and help to improve the effectiveness of the clients' software delivery capability. And of course, all this happens in a consultative, collaborative fashion – in keeping with our values. You should have extensive experience delivering software on commercial projects backed up by good knowledge of agile practices such as TDD, pair programming and CI/CD to name a few. Required Skills * Extensive, diversified experience developing, maintaining and operating enterprise scale distributed systems. * Expert-level knowledge of web, JavaScript, and the associated tooling. Experience with * JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS, VueJS, and AngularJS are highly desirable. * Up-to-date knowledge of semantic HTML & CSS. * Hands-on experience with building performant, secure and accessible applications * Hands-on experience with test-driven development and other forms of automated testing. * Strong understanding of the principles underlying agile development and an understanding of the various approaches that can be effective in realising these principles in different contexts. * Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively while working remotely with globally distributed teams. * Strong interpersonal skills, including a desire to collaborate and share knowledge with other team members, including client team members. This also includes the ability to work collectively towards a common goal without insisting on a given course of action. Nice To Have * Hands-on experience developing distributed systems including micro frontend architectures. ● Hands-on experience developing and running large scale production systems ideally in containerised/cloud environments using either AWS, GCP or Azure.

With a genuine collaborative spirit, you work closely with colleagues across teams, always striving to elevate every member’s success in alignment with MongoDB’s value of Building Together. A strong communicator and problem-solver, you have 5+ years of experience in roles such as Developer Advocate, Solutions Architect, Software Engineer, Developer Relations, or similar. You’re skilled at simplifying complex technical concepts and can adapt your messaging to developers at all skill levels. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Empower developers: Leverage your deep understanding of database technologies, programming languages, and MongoDB’s core functionality—including Atlas —to guide developers in building impactful solutions through code and content. Engage through live workshops: Deliver interactive sessions for audiences ranging from 40 to 400 developers, showcasing best practices and hands-on experience with MongoDB. Community growth: Build relationships with developers, community leaders, industry influencers, and partners to scale our Developer Relations programs and foster new engagement opportunities across India and APAC. Support user groups and champions: Collaborate with other DevRel teams to grow MongoDB user groups, champion programs, and influencer networks in the region. Partner with marketing: Work closely with various marketing teams to inform strategies, refine messaging, and create resources that resonate with our developer community. WHAT YOU'LL BRING: Technical expertise: A minimum of 5+ years of experience consulting with development teams, complemented by proficiency in database technologies and programming languages.
