The Product Design team defines and delivers user-facing experiences across Stripe. Product Designers work closely with engineers,
product managers, researchers, strategists, operations, data scientists, and marketers to shape products from early strategy
through launch and iteration.
You’ll be joining the Risk team, which shapes how businesses get started on Stripe, build trust, stay compliant, and grow with
confidence. The work spans businesses of every size and helps keep both our users and the Stripe ecosystem safe.

WHAT YOU'LL DO In this role, you'll design experiences that help businesses start and grow successfully on Stripe. You'll work closely with cross-functional partners to define problems, shape direction, and ship high-quality experiences. RESPONSIBILITIES * Translate complex systems, policies, and operational constraints into clear, thoughtful product experiences * Identify high-leverage opportunities that improve coherence across journeys, touchpoints, and surfaces * Partner closely with PMs, engineers, researchers, operations, and strategists to shape product direction and drive user and business outcomes * Develop both long-term strategy and pragmatic short-term solutions * Design, prototype, and communicate ideas with creative storytelling and demos * Use qualitative and quantitative signals to inform decisions and evaluate impact * Raise the craft bar in a domain where quality and trust matter deeply * Work closely with engineering to ensure a high bar for craft and implementation qualityContribute to shared patterns and systems that help the broader Risk organization build with coherence WHO YOU ARE We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * 10+ years of relevant product design experience at a product-driven technology company * A strong portfolio demonstrating excellent craft, systems thinking, and end-to-end design, including a strong understanding of AI tools * Experience working on complex product areas with multiple stakeholders, constraints, and interconnected workflows * Strong product thinking and the ability to shape direction, not just execute against requirements * Demonstrated ability to prototype and design across multiple touchpoints and surfaces * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence through clear design rationale and artifacts PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Think in systems and design solutions that scale across users, workflows, and surfaces * Have strong product judgment and influence beyond the UI * Care deeply about quality from concept through implementation * Move fluidly between big-picture thinking and interaction-level craft * Are energized by ambiguous, strategic problem spaces—not just well-defined execution * Are comfortable operating in fast-moving environments where priorities may shift in response to policy, operational, or regulatory needs

As a product designer, you play a key role in turning product innovation into a user-friendly experience supporting customers' pains and our company's objectives simultaneously. You will participate in the end-to-end product development process and run several initiatives in parallel. You will have a high degree of freedom when shaping the user experience for some of the world's most famous brands to accelerate their online marketing. Some of your responsibilities will include Champion User-Centric Design: Drive our design direction by ensuring users remain at the heart of every decision. We are looking for someone with the following criteria: 4+ years of experience as a Product Designer, balancing user needs with business goals and hands-on experience in user research. A portfolio showcasing user-centered designs with a strong focus on complex product challenges (ideally, in B2B/SaaS). You feel comfortable using your toolbox of design methodologies and are interested in industry trends and best practices that can enhance our products and processes. You are interested in trying out and using new technologies, including AI products, in your daily work. Excellent communication skills, both in presenting ideas and giving/receiving feedback. Woven between all the stages of the delivery process is the work of a Quality Analyst: the technologist who focuses on the complexity and risk inherent in building solutions. By collaborating with each team member—Developer, Business Analyst, Designer, etc.—they ensure quality is thoughtfully examined in both processes and technology. QAs are more than testers; they're team motivators and strive to inspire all teammates to weave quality into their mindsets and code. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Advocate for quality being built into software and products and aspire to 'shift quality to the left' i.e. highlight and put measures for risk mitigations within the team as early as possible. * Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to embed quality at every stage of product evolution from ideation to customer usage. * Regularly carry out exploratory testing to gain insights and uncover potential risks. * Offer improvements to code, tests, testability and suggest tools and frameworks. * Examine end-to-end processes including test coverage across all layers of the tech stack, ensuring quality is embedded throughout. * Contribute to the creation of a reliable and maintainable automated testing suite to ensure simple, effective analysis of failures and avoid any test case duplication. * Alter team approach based on standards and regulations in certain industries. * Coach the client's team and encourage them to adopt a quality mindset. * Advocate QA expertise to the broader tech community in Thoughtworks, speaking at conferences and acting as a mentor for junior-level QAs. JOB QUALIFICATIONS TECHNICAL SKILLS * You have worked as a Quality Analyst as part of a wider development team, pairing with Devs, Business Analysts, Infrastructure Engineers, and Designers to embed quality and testing mindsets within different roles. * You have experience with agile, code management, deployment strategies and release management. * Familiarity with practices such as TDD, BDD, CI/CD and models such as Test Pyramid and Swiss cheese. * You are comfortable suggesting changes to both on premise and cloud architectures for enhancing quality. * You can perform different types of functional and cross-functional testing including performance and security testing across varied architectures. * You know how to best leverage metrics to improve lead time, deployment frequency, mean time to recovery and change fail rate. * You can design quality strategies and can produce one for the team. * Knowledge of user experience and user research including prototyping, personas and AB testing, which can be translated into a test strategy.
