YOUR MISSION The role of Business Manager at ALTEN USA includes the following responsibilities: Business Development * Creating new business opportunities by prospecting new customers within engineering sectors * Manage existing account relationships supporting active Client projects * Optimizing business profitability with mid-size accounts * Close deals on service-based contracts (fixed-price, delivery-based) or on time-based contracts (delegation of consultants) * Responsible for determining proposal and pricing strategy to close sales and win business. Support the company to meet its commercial objectives * Organizing & coordinating the commercial relationships with your partners * Building close customer relationships and staying in close contact with customer managers to gain trust and develop business needs. * Ensure customer' satisfaction, project follow-up * Manage your P&L statement for your business unit * Work within Salesforce to track leads and sales performance data. * Travel to existing and prospective customer sites to understand and develop solutions to support customer needs, with support from the technical team as needed. Talent Acquisition & Management * Continuously interview and match engineering profiles to have already qualified talent ready to meet customer’s current and anticipated needs with the support of dedicated recruitment team * Support consultants in building their career paths within the Group * Overseeing your own team of engineering consultants PROFILE SOUGHT * Bachelors degree is required, MSc or BSc degree in engineering or business is required * 4 to 6 years work experience is required in staffing or engineering services * Management experience is highly preferred. * Experience in cold calling and targeted business prospection efforts is preferred with ability to establish a network of relevant engineering contacts and customers. * Ability to maintain strong business professional relationships. We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Business Manager - Australia to help scale and manage our growing day-to-day operations of our Australian business. This is a broad operational role, designed to provide locally embedded capability across business performance, finance coordination, People Team support, procurement support, governance, compliance and general business management. The Australian business is entering a significant growth and delivery phase. The role is intentionally broad: it will support operational maturity without creating unnecessary corporate overhead, and will evolve as the business grows across major events, venues, sport, infrastructure and advisory projects. Working closely with the Regional Director and global Central Services, you will help transition the Australian operation from market-entry phase into a scalable, delivery-ready business capable of supporting larger contracts, government clients and accelerated growth.
