About the role
We are looking for a professional with a strong focus on test engineering and hands-on experience with test equipment and measurements, and related software development.
You will join a growing and collaborative engineering team dedicated to developing advanced test solutions that support the full product lifecycle – from early prototypes to high-volume manufacturing. As a MEMS Test Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and executing test systems – both hardware and software – for a broad range of MEMS products, ensuring performance meets customer specifications and industry standards. You will collaborate cross-functionally within Silex and communicate with both suppliers and customers.
Design and implement test solutions based on MEMS device specifications, covering electrical, optical, and mechanical performance.
Develop and validate test cases and procedures for both manual and automated wafer-level and die-level test systems.
Select, configure, and maintain specialized test instrumentation, including probe stations, precision source-measure units (SMUs), oscilloscopes, and custom MEMS test fixtures.
Perform hands-on testing in both cleanroom and laboratory environments, ensuring proper handling of sensitive MEMS devices and adherence to ESD and contamination-control procedures.
Analyze and interpret test data to evaluate device performance, identify trends, and diagnose issues at both the device and system level.
Collaborate closely with design, process, and product engineers to troubleshoot, optimize test coverage, and improve product yield and reliability.
Thoroughly document all test plans, configurations, and results to ensure full traceability and enable continuous improvement in test methods and equipment.
Drive improvements in throughput, automation, and measurement accuracy across the MEMS test process flow.
Ensure all activities comply with quality standards, customer requirements, and relevant industry regulations.
We are looking for someone who has
A Masters degree or Ph.D. in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in electrical measurements, device characterization, or production tests – ideally including MEMS or semiconductor tests within an industrial environment or academia.
Experience in LabVIEW programming for test automation, instrument control, and data acquisition. Proficiency in Python and familiarity with SQL databases for data analysis, visualization and structured data management.
Hands-on experience with a wide range of test equipment, such as source-measure units (SMUs), parametric analyzers, probe stations, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other specialized tools used in MEMS testing.
Experience in cleanroom or controlled laboratory environments.
Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex device- and system-level issues.
Basic knowledge or experience in 3D CAD modeling and prototype manufacturing methods (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining) for test fixture design and development.

Läs mer här. Om rollen Som IT-tekniker ansvarar du för att leverera stabil och effektiv support till hela verksamheten på ca 500 anställda. Du arbetar i en miljö där tillgänglighet, säkerhet och användarupplevelse är avgörande och du hanterar allt från enklare supportärenden till mycket komplexa problem. Huvudfokus ligger på användarstöd, men rollen är bred och innefattar även administration av IT-miljöer samt projekt- och förbättringsarbete för våra system och arbetssätt. Du driver ärenden självständigt från start till lösning och säkerställer hög servicenivå. IT-landskapet är en blandning av kontorsmiljö och produktionsmiljö med renrum där IT-utrustning interagerar med OT-utrustning. Vi är Microsoft-intensiva och servermiljön är en hybrid med on-prem och molntjänster. Rollen innebär ett nära samarbete med kollegor inom IT, externa leverantörer och verksamheten i stort. Dina huvudsakliga arbetsuppgifter inkluderar bland annat att: Ge first- och second line support via ärendehanteringssystem. Felsöka och lösa problem kopplade till datorer, skrivare, nätverk, operativsystem och applikationer. Installera, konfigurera och underhålla datorer, mobila enheter och annan IT-utrustning. Administrera användarkonton, behörigheter och säkerhetsinställningar i Active Directory/Entra och Microsoft 365. Arbeta med enhetshantering via Intune samt hantering av GPO:er. Dokumentera ärenden och bidra till kunskapsdatabas. Delta i IT-projekt, exempelvis utrullning av hård- och mjukvara. Ansvara för onboarding av nyanställda, inklusive konton, utrustning och behörigheter. Teamet Vår nästa IT-tekniker blir en del av IT-avdelningens Service team som består av ett mindre, sammansvetsat team med en IT-supporttekniker, en infrastrukturtekniker och en arbetsledare. The Area The area consists of a team of both engineers and service technicians where collaboration is critical to ensure good process stability, tool up-time and continuous improvement. All Process Engineers report to the Area Manager in their area. Wet A fast-paced, varied and unique area where the processes differ a lot: wet-etching, deposition and vapor techniques are used to both remove and build material on our chips. The team consists of five Service Technicians and ten Process Engineers. The role Your overall responsibility is to ensure manufacturing goals are met, together with operators and service technicians. Your days will be a mix of meetings with Product Managers and developing new processes that meet customers' specifications. You will also participate in creating work routines for operators and solving problems that occur in the area, driving improvement projects to enhance our workflow and processes in the area. In this role, you will: Develop, maintain and improve processes. Handle stopped production batches and development material together with process integration engineers (PIs). Be a part of creating/improving the infrastructure for operator training and make sure current routine is available and up to date. Participate in process qualification of new equipment/materials and release to them production. Participate in the startup of new products, review specifications and process flows. Grow into taking responsibility for area equipment, improving the tool uptime, maintain and develop new standardized process modules. Drive improvement projects independently. We are looking for someone who has A master's degree in engineering, specializing in Applied Physics, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field. At least one year of experience in an engineering role, preferably in production/development environments. The ability to see opportunities for improvement and manage projects to follow through with those improvements in a proactive way. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong skills in documentation and quality management. Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Swedish is considered a merit. We are currently looking for a Service Technician to join our Backend Area, helping to ensure the uptime of our machines. Read more about Silex here. About the team The Backend area is a vital part of our production, where in the area we perform all outgoing quality control of our products, conducting electrical measurements and optical inspections. We also work with blade and stealth dicing, wafer thinning, and CMP (chemical mechanical planarization). There is a team of 19 people working in the Backend area, out of which four are working with service (three Service Technicians and one Maintenance Engineer). About the role As a Service Technician at Silex, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our high-tech equipment is operational in production through maintenance, operations, and service tasks, all conducted in cleanroom environments. The equipment you will work with involves electronics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, chemistry, and gases. You will collaborate with skilled colleagues, including area managers, process engineers, and operators. Each day begins with a handover from the previous shift, after which tasks are planned and divided among the Service Technicians. There will be a mix of planned and unplanned service activities, and we are continuously working to improve the uptime of our machinery to reduce unplanned tool stops. We want you to participate in, and help drive, continuous improvements in the area. The working hours for this position will be night shift, Monday night–Friday morning 22:30–07:00. For the first couple of months you will receive training on another shift (day, evening) and then transfer to the night shift. You will be the only Service Technician from Backend on the shift, but there will be Service Technicians present working in other areas of the fab as well as operators running our machines. In this role, you will Perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Carry out diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery. Be responsible for scheduled and unscheduled service activities. Coordinate service activities within the area alongside the area manager and other service technicians. Support new installations as well as modifications and upgrades of existing machines. Ensure that equipment and machinery follow Silex’s policies for providing a safe work environment. We are looking for someone who Has 3+ years' work experience in equipment service and maintenance within an industrial environment. Can troubleshoot effectively, using both electrical and mechanical understanding of the equipment. Is able to read electrical drawings and use them to aid in troubleshooting. Has good reading skills in Swedish; speaking Swedish is an advantage. Is proficient in English, both written and spoken. Is able to work independently and lead oneself. Works in a meticulous, structured, and detail-oriented way. Has the drive and curiosity to learn and grow together with Silex.
