With a focus on strategic, insight-driven design and an eye for detail, you will continuously iterate and improve experiences that align with Vivino's brand vision. Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and temporarily reporting to our CPO, you will work closely with our Design and Engineering team, as well as our Senior Product Managers (among other key stakeholders). As our Senior Product Designer, you will shape customer-focused product development, directly addressing our most significant strategic touchpoints across the wine journey. More specifically, you will be responsible for the following: * Lead the end-to-end design process, from ideation to execution, across new and existing features, always in service of clear user goals. * Explore, prototype, and ship new functionality, running experiments to learn quickly and improve what we build. * Create and refine product flows that strengthen the connection between free and premium users, helping them understand Vivino's value at every stage. * Translate complex data, behavioural insights, and research findings into clear, emotionally resonant, and measurable product experiences that create meaningful outcomes. * Produce high-quality wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that communicate both technical functionality and narrative intent. * Participate in design critiques, sharing constructive feedback and helping raise the overall craft, impact, and clarity of Vivino's product design.   Collaborative, valuing teamwork, constructive critique, and cross-functional alignment Success in this role means transforming our strategic focus areas into valuable user experiences. Furthermore, we would think you can demonstrate the following: * Experience designing consumer digital products, including shipping native iOS and Android apps. * Demonstrated success designing for complex user flows within freemium, subscription, or loyalty-based products. * A strong professional portfolio showcasing UX/UI excellence and clear evidence of measurable business or engagement impact. * Fluency in Figma and modern prototyping tools. * Familiarity with user testing, interviews, experimentation, and A/B testing — and a track record of using what you learn to inform design iteration. * Curiosity about using AI to explore ideas, prototype faster, and evolve design systems — hands-on experience designing AI-powered user experiences is a plus. We are hiring our first Senior Engineering Lead to partner directly with our first London-based Staff Product Manager. Together, you will be the founding leadership team building this hub from the ground up. Two things make London the right place for this team: Direct Engineering Impact through Proximity The UK is home to some of our most strategically important Key Accounts—major grocery chains, national coffee shop operators, and fast-casual restaurant groups. As a Senior Engineering Lead, you won't just be executing a roadmap from afar; you will be close to the partners using our technology. Understanding their scale, technical constraints, and operational workflows from the inside is what will allow you to architect and deliver truly impactful, high-scale software. High-Velocity, Cross-Functional Collaboration London is the anchor for our most senior operational and commercial leadership. You will be co-located with P&L owners, Key Account managers, and commercial teams who live and breathe these partnerships every day. THE ROLE We are looking for a Senior Engineering Lead to build, lead, and establish our new engineering hub in London. You will be the founding Engineering Lead, where you will be responsible for building a high-performing engineering team from the ground up. You will report directly to our Director of Engineering in Copenhagen. You will recruit and lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, and in close collaboration with the business owners in our Operations department, you will define the technical roadmap and deliver the solutions that power our workflows. This role is a blend of people leadership, technical architecture, and product ownership. As the Senior Engineering Lead, you will ensure your team delivers high-quality, maintainable integrations and systems. You will manage the team, facilitate their productivity, and support their professional growth. THE TECH STACK You will be leading a multi-team organization working across our company's Tech Stacks: Our marketplace backend is a Spring Boot Application on Java 25 running on a Kubernetes cluster deployed in AWS. We have two frontend React.js projects written in TypeScript, as well as an Android App written primarily in Kotlin, and an iOS App written in Swift.  RESPONSIBILITIES * Build, lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team. * Own and maintain the team's technical roadmap, ensuring it is aligned with business priorities defined by the Operations team. * Work directly with business stakeholders to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and translate requirements into actionable work. * Manage relationships and technical work with third-party service providers and consultants. * Guide the team in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust integrations between our various systems. * Support the personal and professional growth of your team members. * Take responsibility for the team's delivery, technical quality, and schedule. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE * You have proven experience as a solution architect or senior engineer, designing and building integrations between complex systems * You have previously managed an engineering team and know how to support and grow your reports. * You can work independently and are able to create a feeling of belonging in a team that works remotely from most of the rest of the Tech team. * You are comfortable working very closely with non-technical business stakeholders to define roadmaps and priorities. * You have hands-on experience with integration technologies and patterns.
