Mission Brief The Controls & Automation Technician is part of a team responsible for operating, maintaining and upgrading Isar Aerospace’s engine test facility located at Esrange in the Swedish Arctic. The role encompasses responsibility for the test facility's electrical system, including schematic design, construction, commissioning, and operational troubleshooting. Your Role in Our Space Mission: * Wire and commission test facility electrical and pneumatic elements of automated control systems, including sensors, actuators, and controls panels and cabinets * Perform basic upgrades and troubleshooting on the facility PLC system * Prepare engines and related subsystems for development and flight testing * Own and maintain relevant tooling and equipment * Perform maintenance on the facility electrical system , and develop and keep current the maintenance plan * Assess and mitigate safety risks for electrical systems * Lead and execute continuous improvement projects to develop an efficient and presentable team workspace * Support operations as required, including performing manual operations on pressurized and cryogenic systems Qualification Checklist * Associate degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field * Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in a high-tech or industrial setting * Familiarity with ATEX regulations, high-pressure environments, and cryogenic systems is highly desirable * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * Fluent in English Bonus Skills * Occupational trade school qualification in an electrical field * Fluent in Swedish Benefits * Employee Participation Program: Share in our success through our virtual company share program * 25 days of vacation: Enjoy the days off to relax and recharge * Subsidised lunch: Stay energised with delicious, subsidised lunches every day * Sport Clubs membership: Stay fit with our allowance for wellness activities * Individual learning allowance: Grow your skills with an individual learning budget granted after the probation period * Relocation help: we offer temporary housing accommodation in Kiruna to support you during your transition period until you secure your own residence * And Much More! Mission Brief The Managing Director will lead Isar Aerospace Sweden AB with a strong focus on financial performance, strategic alignment, and governance and compliance. This role involves fostering a supportive environment for operational and technical teams while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company governance principles. Close collaboration with functions and business units within Isar Aerospace SE is essential to execute strategies defined by the parent company.
