This team is dedicated to enhancing our Customer Support capability, a key component of the Backbase Native AI Banking Platform. Our Customer Support capability allows banks to provide their customers with exceptionally fast and efficient support, including embedded agentic/conversational AI aspects to provide a seamless customer support experience. How about you ● You are a software engineer with 5+ years relevant experience, with a focus on building scalable, resilient, and accessible user-friendly web experiences; ● You possess expert knowledge of Angular, Typescript, CSS, and HTML; ● You are familiar with the objectives of modern frameworks like Angular and understand their core architectural principles; ● You have significant experience in testing frameworks including Jest, Cypress, and Playwright; ● Experience with Nx is an advantage; ● You have a strong understanding of reactive programming with RxJS; ● You have strong communication skills, enabling you to confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels and secure buy-in from both technical leads and team members; ● You are passionate about embracing AI/ML tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, and Windsurf, and you enjoy shaping the product or platform’s functionality with AI; ● Experience with Fintech products or the banking industry is a plus; ● You have experience in areas such as security, performance, and scalability.

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to strengthen our team. As a Backend Engineer you will join a Product team in our Business Banking value stream within the R&D department and you will focus on creating a solution that allows banks to seamlessly service customers and employees by crafting memorable and engaging banking experiences. By joining Business Banking Tribe in Poland you will have the opportunity to work on Entitlements which provide a set of web journeys designed to control user access and limit what financial institution employees and customers can do with the resources they have access to. Positive Pay, a fraud prevention service enables bank customers to set multiple ACH rules for their accounts and forbid transactions that do not comply with the defined rules. And many more capabilities designed and built in Krakow.     Meet the Job As part of the team, you will contribute to new and existing functionalities, proof of concepts, and technical improvements that will be implemented in the Digital Banking Platform. Your autonomous team is responsible for the entire software development life cycle for the digital banking product suite: from idea to release. You are expected to take ownership of what you build and proactively collaborate with architects, QA engineers and other team members to ensure implementation is done according to our technical vision and best practices. R&D way of working is inspired by the Spotify Model. We are organized in Value Streams (e.g. Business Banking), Tribes, Guilds and Chapters where engineers can exchange knowledge and share new ideas. Business Banking squads follow Scrum with two-week sprints, delivering product increment in monthly releases. DEINE AUFGABEN As a Senior AI Engineer (m/f/x) in the Professional Services organization, you take ownership of production-grade AI features and services from design through operation, and you’re the engineer other team members turn to when a delivery gets technically hard. You work at the intersection of software engineering rigor and applied AI, translating client requirements into scalable, maintainable systems while raising the bar for how the team builds. Beyond your own delivery scope, you help shape how junior and mid-level engineers on your engagements approach quality, testing, and production readiness.
