JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking for a Senior AI-Native Fullstack Engineer with a DevOps focus to support multiple engineering projects across AI-powered applications, SaaS platforms, and cloud-native solutions. This is not a traditional DevOps-only role. The role combines application engineering with infrastructure ownership: building services, APIs, automation and internal tools, while also running cloud infrastructure, deployments, observability and production operations. The ideal profile is a strong fullstack or backend engineer, preferably TypeScript-heavy, with hands-on depth in AWS, Infrastructure as Code, containers, networking, permissions, secrets and observability. With modern AI and LLM tooling, repetitive engineering, infrastructure, debugging and automation work can be accelerated dramatically. We expect someone who uses AI-native workflows to investigate in parallel, generate and validate infrastructure changes, and support teams with high-quality execution. What We’re Looking For We are looking for a builder who can move across the full delivery chain: application code, infrastructure code, deployment, runtime configuration and production troubleshooting. You should be someone who: * Builds application software and owns the infrastructure behind it * Uses AI as a default development and troubleshooting workflow * Cares about reliability, security, automation, observability and maintainability * Chooses simple solutions, owns outcomes, and verifies aggressively YOUR TASKS * Fullstack Engineering: Build services, APIs, scripts, automation, internal tools and lightweight frontend functionality where useful, mainly in TypeScript * Infrastructure & Cloud Setup: Use IaC, ideally AWS CDK, to build pragmatic cloud patterns across containers, databases, queues, storage, networking, DNS, secrets and runtime configuration * ECS Fargate Operations: Deploy and troubleshoot ECS Fargate workloads, including task definitions, services, load balancers, IAM roles, logs, scaling and deployment behavior * Security, Observability & Troubleshooting: Handle IAM, least privilege, secrets, logs, metrics, alarms, failed deployments, configuration issues, networking problems and runtime incidents YOUR PROFILE AI-Native Development & Operations * Hands-on use of Claude Code, Codex or similar advanced AI tools; Copilot-style autocomplete is not enough * Uses agents for development, infrastructure changes, debugging and operational investigation, while strongly reviewing and testing AI-generated code, scripts and configuration Fullstack / Software Engineering * Strong fullstack or backend engineering experience, especially with TypeScript; able to build production services, APIs, scripts, tools and automation * Comfortable across application code, infrastructure code, deployments and runtime systems, from problem clarification to production rollout Cloud, IaC & DevOps Operations * Strong IaC and AWS or similar cloud experience, ideally AWS CDK with TypeScript, across containers, ECS Fargate, networking, IAM, secrets, DNS, storage, databases, queues and runtime configuration * Strong observability, security and delivery judgment: logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, alarms, least privilege, deployment safety, pipeline permissions and safe developer access * Pragmatic production debugger with good judgment on scalability, availability, cost, security, operational trade-offs and clear English communication Good Fit You may be a good fit if you are a fullstack/backend or TypeScript engineer with strong AWS, IaC and DevOps experience; a DevOps/platform or SRE-minded engineer with real software engineering depth; or an AI-native builder using LLMs and agents daily for real development and infrastructure work. Not a Good Fit This role is probably not the right fit if you are mainly an infrastructure admin who avoids coding, a pipeline-only DevOps profile, a pure application developer with no cloud ownership, someone who only wants predefined tickets, or someone who does not actively use and validate AI-generated infrastructure, scripts and configuration. YOUR BENEFITS * Work across AI-powered SaaS and cloud-native products, use modern AI tooling daily, and shape pragmatic infrastructure that helps teams ship faster and more safely * Collaboration in an empathetic, appreciative team with room to contribute ideas and take ownership * Individual development opportunities, structured onboarding, and interdisciplinary collaboration * Flexible working models including hybrid work, home office, and mobile working * A modern tech environment and agile ways of working * Additional benefits such as pension plans, health offers, and employee discounts I LOOK FORWARD TO RECEIVING YOUR APPLICATION Svenja Krüßel D-49835 Wietmarschen-Lohne Tel.: 0170-7888740 E-Mail: career@zvoove.com
Location: Come and join us in Barcelona! We are looking for a talented and motivated Senior Backend Engineer (m/f/d) for our new Driver Onboarding team. As part of a highly skilled, cross-functional team comprising Fullstack Engineers, Backend Engineers, a Product Manager, a Product Designer, a Data Analyst, and a technical Engineering Manager, you will help shape the future of mobility with FREENOW and assist our drivers in their daily work. We also value a mindset that challenges the status quo—constantly exploring new technologies and approaches to improve our products and maintain a state-of-the-art codebase. Beyond technical excellence, your contributions will help foster a collaborative and inspiring team culture, making our workplace an enjoyable and fulfilling environment. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE: * Own the Feature, Own the Code – feel responsible for what you create. It all starts with bringing in your feature ideas, goes over development, testing and ends in deploying your code and monitoring it. * Design and develop systems based on product requirements or refactorings. * Maintain and improve the existing systems by finding bottlenecks and performance issues and improving resource usage (DB access, cache, messaging, etc.). * Collaborate with your team members in an Agile environment, contribute to and live our agile ceremonies. * You care about teamwork: Be accountable for all topics above, but work together with the team on them. * Stay on top of the latest technology trends and AI-assisted development tools, and bring best practices to our daily work. Our Techstack: Kotlin | Java | AWS | Docker | Git | Kafka | ElasticSearch & more ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE: * Passionate about Kotlin or Java. * Experience with the quirks of Spring Boot or similar frameworks, automated tests and CI/CD tools. * Knowledge of microservices architecture. * Comfortable with AI-first development practices, we use tools like Claude and Cursor daily, so experience or strong interest in AI-assisted coding is important. * Familiarity with monitoring tools (i.e., Grafana, Datadog, Kibana etc.). * Keen about principles and practices of scalable web applications, such as RESTful API’s, dealing with transactions, and resiliency. * Familiar with messaging by using Kafka or RabbitMQ. * High level of creativity; there’s all the freedom to think outside the box. * Be communicative, proactive, and always collaborative. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Nice to have: * Experience working with AWS or similar cloud service providers. * Experience in Python, particularly for data processing or AI integration tasks. * Experience with document automation validation. * Familiar with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BENEFITS & PERKS IN A NUTSHELL: * Flexible working arrangements * LinkedIn Learning * Sabbatical & special leave policies * WeRoad partnership * Birthday, 24th + 31st December off * Short term EU work policy * Mobility Credit * Health Insurance * Employee assistance program ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION: FREE NOW is an equal opportunity employer and we consider qualified applicants regardless of race, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age.
