The role… At Soho House, a Busser is responsible for curating a we organized, clean and structured member and guest experience. A Busser, supports runners, servers and management by cleaning and resetting tables, ensuring the availability of flatware and plates, and bringing guest needs to the attention of waitstaff. They also restock necessary items, such as napkins and straws, and may assist with washing dishes. A successful Busser will be efficient, attentive, and have strong customer service skills. Main Duties * Detail all tables before service begins, ensure place settings are neat and organized and candles are on the tables * Ensure appropriate table setting and china is used for various services throughout the day; breakfast, lunch, dinner or feast service; mis en place (ketchup, salt pepper, HP and sugar bowl). * Stock all stations upon arrival (small plates, sharing plates, water and wines glasses, and all the silverware) and maintain throughout service along with working with your team to keep the bread warmer full and neat * Maintain section and ensure bread and water is delivery upon guests’ arrival while also assisting other sections when applicable * Clear tables plates, silver / glassware between each course and subsequently wipe down and re-set table for new guests * Polish silverware and pot wash are stored according to local standards * Complete side work before and after service (see side work sheets for details) * Making sure the cabinet and shelf in the bar area are full before service (glassware - silverware - plate ware). * Remove all the dirty linen from station and trash is empty and clean Required Skills/Qualifications * 1+ years of experience in similar role * Flexible schedule and open to working weekends / holidays (when needed) * Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. * Detail oriented ability to multitask and deliver results in demanding and fast-paced environments * Basic verbal communication skills. Physical Requirements * Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands. * Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours. * Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others. * Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 40 pounds. * Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required. The Role… At Soho House a Part Time Server is responsible for understanding, discussing and educating members and guests all menu items, allergies associated (if applicable) while also presenting an approachable and elevated experience by following Soho House Service Standards. The Server plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of service and guest satisfaction. Also, collaborates with other team members and completes pre-service and post-service duties, accurately entering orders into POS and being attentive during service to support additional member or guest request. A successful Server maintains a positive and influential attitude, is detail oriented, process driven and flexible while working under pressure to ensure seamless communication is maintained through the Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) staff. Main Duties * Develop and maintain professional relationships with all coworkers and management as well as complete checklists on all trained processes learned in Club School * Positively influence members and guests experience by elevating the dining experience with food and drink pairing options and discussing specials to drive sales through consistent and approachable communication and the highest level of service in accordance with Soho House Standards * Maintain communication and advise Management and Executive Chef on any allergies or potential red flags encountered throughout the night to mitigate any forecasted risk * Complete all check out reports at the end of each shift and have it double checked and signed by management * Adhere to health and safety policies as well as all Company policies, procedures, standards and local, state, and federal law as applicable * Ensure food orders are finished being plated and coursed out correctly before appropriately serving to members/guests * Assist runners and bussers when possible with expo and service bar tickets to support all table orders * Clean and stock server alley and bar area, polish silverware, plates and/or glassware as needed * Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions who asked by members and/or guests * Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager  Required Skills/Qualifications * Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity * Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm, through quickly and effectively problem solving under pressure * Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests * Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School * Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed * Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously * Tips certified and POS knowledge Physical Requirements * Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands. * Must be able to make periodical fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the property to others. * Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 20 pounds. * Must be able to occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb is required. * Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, cleaning, and stooping. * Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time. * Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, reach, push, twist, walk, crouch, and squat.
