Join Proton and build a better internet where privacy is the default
At Proton, we believe that privacy is a fundamental human right and the cornerstone of democracy. Since our inception in 2014,
founded by a team of scientists from CERN, we have dedicated ourselves to providing free and open-source technology to millions
worldwide, ensuring access to privacy, security, and freedom online.
Our journey began with Proton Mail, the largest secure email service globally, and has since expanded to include Proton VPN,
Proton Calendar, Proton Drive, and Proton Pass. These tools empower individuals and organizations to take control of their
personal data, break away from Big Tech’s invasive practices, and defeat censorship. Our work impacts hundreds of millions of
lives, from activists on the front lines defending freedom to leaders in governments protecting sensitive information. In some
cases, Proton’s services have even been instrumental in saving lives by enabling secure and private communications in high-risk
situations.
Proton is a profitable company that does not rely upon VC funding, supporting over 100 million user accounts with a growing team
of over 500 people from over 50 different countries, from the world's top companies and universities. We value intelligence,
learning potential, and ambition in our hiring process. Adaptability is key as we navigate uncharted territories and redefine how
business is conducted online.
Hiring at Proton is highly selective, with less than 1% of candidates hired. We believe smaller teams of exceptional talent will
always prevail over larger teams with lower talent density. You will have the opportunity to work with many of the world's top
minds in their fields, ranging from former international math and science olympiad winners to chess champions.
We have a global mindset and big ambitions but remain a start-up at heart. We value empowerment and flexibility and keep our
structure flat to keep moving fast and avoid unnecessary politics. Tired of blending into the crowd? Join us and do work you can
truly be proud of. Check our open-source projects here!

Product, Design, API teams, and fellow engineers, driving data-informed decisions to deliver a seamless and secure user
experience.

The Team Our business unit, Inbox, is a cross-functional team of about 60 engineers, product managers, designers and data analysts driving the development of Proton Mail, the company’s flagship product, and Proton Calendar. Our mission is to create an end-to-end encrypted solution with a better user experience than any other productivity products on the market. While it is not always an easy journey, it is one that offers the chance to create meaningful impact and drive lasting change that we are fully committed to. The Inbox Desktop team is responsible for developing desktop clients of Inbox, specifically the Proton Mail Desktop App, Proton Mail Bridge, and the Export tool. What you will do * Research: Assessing new technologies, supporting cross team and cross business unit technical decision making. * Work breakdown: Transforming product specifications into technical requirements and lead your team to their successful implementation. * Product development: Ensuring high-quality user experiences within our product portfolio by implementing, deploying and maintaining existing and new features. * Scalability: Enhancing software development lifecycle, tools, and processes to improve developer experience and to ensure our solutions are scalable. * Coding: Writing clear, concise and testable code to maintain and elevate the quality of our codebase. * Project management: Managing the scoping, planning and execution of new features, technical initiatives and greenfield projects. * Mentoring: Fostering a culture of learning, creativity, and accountability for the best possible work through mentorship and team development, role modelling quality assurance and performance optimization. Job requirements While we prefer candidates who cover the entire skillset, don't hesitate to apply if you're not an exact match, as we're willing to help you grow in certain areas. * Experience: Significant, relevant professional software development experience with Rust programming language, or with very strong background in modern C++ and reasonably complex Rust pet projects. * Desktop software development: Experience in developing high quality, fast, Windows and Linux cross-platform desktop applications. Familiarity with different native and cross-platform desktop UI frameworks (e.g. Avalonia UI, Qt, Electron, etc.). Experience in working both on user interface and on business logic. * Product mindset: A product mindset with a focus on offering outstanding user experience in a successful business environment. Familiarity with key business and product performance metrics. * Engineering leadership: Ability to make architectural decisions and contribute to strategic planning and product directions. Experience in developing scalable engineering solutions. Able to write effective engineering documents (size, quality, content). * Collaborative Skills: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, excellent written communication skills, and experience working in a distributed team. * Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot customer issues remotely while protecting our user’s privacy. Bonus Points For: * Experience with macOS or mobile cross-platform development. * Familiarity with using unidirectional data-flow (a.k.a. Elm-like) frameworks * Experience with Grafana, Metabase or other monitoring platforms. * Experience in B2B, preferably in online privacy and/or productivity contexts. What We Offer: * Office First: Collaboration is easier and more effective in person, which is why we have offices in Geneva, Zurich, Prague, Barcelona, Paris, London, Vilnius, Skopje, and Taipei. You can also enjoy working from home up to 30% of the time, while enjoying great company during our three core days in the office. All of our teams are based in Europe (same timezone +/- 1 hour). * Technology: You can work on introducing new technologies, both for green field projects but also for existing systems. We provide all the devices and software you need to excel in your role, ensuring you have the best tools at your disposal to achieve your goals. * Food: Lunch and snacks are provided by Proton every day at our offices. * Transport: We support our employees with transport costs through subsidizing public transport, bike allowances, or parking spaces based on your office location. * Stock Options: At Proton, we are all owners of the company and you get stock options when you join us. * Flexible Working: You can define your own working hours as long as it works with team meetings. * Learning and Development: We are committed to your professional growth. At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done. ABOUT THE ROLE We're hiring someone to build the playbook for how we drive practitioner adoption of new capabilities, and bring new practitioners into the platform. You'll pick a segment (data engineers, ML engineers, analytics engineers), pair it with a use case, and figure out what it takes to get practitioners from awareness to activation. That means developing real knowledge of your audience: what they care about, where they spend time, what resonates, and what falls flat. Then working cross functionally to assemble the right assets, sequence them into an exciting journey that leads to adoption, and getting your campaign in front of the right people across owned, paid, in-product, and partner channels. What you're building is a closed loop. Each campaign is instrumented so you can see what actually worked. Did practitioners activate? Did usage stick? How quickly did they find value? Each round of learning makes the next one sharper. The insights you generate don't stay with you; they feed back to marketing, product and account teams to drive broader adoption across organizations. If you want to own the full arc from choosing the audience to designing the playbook to shipping the campaign to building the feedback loops that make it all compound over time, this is that role. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Own campaigns to drive practitioner use case adoption from audience selection through execution and measurement. For example, showing data engineers how to multiply data modeling impact with an AI-powered coding assistant, or helping ML engineers discover on-platform model serving. * Develop deep knowledge of your target practitioner segments: what they care about, where they spend time, what resonates, and what falls flat. * Assemble campaign assets from across the organization (docs, guides, workshop content, videos, references) and sequence them into a journey that takes practitioners from curious to committed * Execute the campaign strategy across owned, paid, earned, in-product, and partner channels, working with and coordinating across other functions as needed. * Measure campaign impact through adoption outcomes. Did the audience activate? Did usage stick? How quickly did practitioners find value? * Build audience intelligence that informs the next campaign and gets shared with PMM, DevRel, and account teams. * Share adoption insights with account teams to help drive broader organizational adoption. ABOUT YOU * 5+ years in developer marketing, growth marketing, technical product marketing, or developer relations — ideally somewhere you marketed to data practitioners or developer tool users * You start with the audience, not the channel. "Who is this for and what do they care about?" comes before "let's do a webinar" * You've shipped multi-channel campaigns end-to-end — strategy through execution, not just decks * You think in funnels, cohorts, and adoption curves. You care about whether people found value, not just whether they clicked. Comfort with SQL or BI tools is a real plus * You get things done through people you don't manage. You'll partner with PMM, EPD, DevRel, Community, and Integrated Marketing daily * You're technically fluent — you can follow an API tutorial, read a SQL query, and understand why a data engineer cares about a particular workflow, even if you're not writing production code yourself * You use AI tools in your own work and you understand how AI is changing what developers do — because that's what you'll be helping them discover BONUS POINTS * You've marketed to data engineers, analytics engineers, or ML engineers specifically * You've been in DevRel or a growth PM role and want to be closer to measurable practitioner impact * You've connected marketing efforts to real adoption outcomes — not just form fills or pipeline attribution * You know the data and AI ecosystem: dbt, Airflow, Spark, Jupyter, notebooks, or similar * You've been the person who had to prove a campaign changed user behavior, not just generated activity Every Snowflake employee is expected to follow the company’s confidentiality and security standards for handling sensitive data. Snowflake employees must abide by the company’s data security plan as an essential part of their duties. It is every employee's duty to keep customer information secure and confidential. Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake. How do you want to make your impact?
