OPPORTUNITY As an Associate in Brunswick’s Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) team, you will advise some of the world’s most high-profile and fastest-growing technology companies, directly supporting clients to develop and execute high-impact communications programmes and navigate their most critical moments. You will drive execution on accounts, focusing on the delivery of workstreams and proactive development of ideas, and play a central coordinating role on your client teams. You will build a wide internal network across our international offices and specialisms to share, develop and deliver the best examples of work for Brunswick and your clients. You will bring a substantial external network, either in media, political and regulatory, industry or broader advisory circles. ABOUT THE ROLE * Drive execution and team coordination on client accounts within Brunswick’s Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) sector team, managing workflow and key work outputs (e.g. running client calls, management of junior colleagues, drafting and reviewing advice notes, drafting campaign plans, roll-out announcements). * Advise TMT clients across a range of issues and communications disciplines, focusing on financial situations (M&A, IPO, restructurings, financial calendar communications), with the support of Directors/Partners, and drawing on independent experience and insights. * Understand complex sector issues and the attitude of media, politicians/regulators, NGOs and other stakeholder groups. * Manage complex media and policy-related interactions, using advanced knowledge and experience of engaging with media and other stakeholder landscapes. * Play a central role in team management and culture, including day-to-day management and development of junior team members (Account Directors and Executives), managing upwards (Directors and Partners) to ensure the timely delivery of client work, and supporting smooth team transitions. * Alongside the Director and/or Partner, serve as primary point of contact for your clients. * Play an active role in securing new business, by drafting proposals and letters of engagement, and a central role in pitch drafting, development and execution. * Foster a network of journalist and stakeholder contacts and relationships, proactively building a network to identify new business prospects and external stakeholders who may provide insights or lead advocacy for clients. * Together with Partners and Directors, proactively drive the strategic growth of Brunswick’s TMT offer to clients. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * 5 – 8 years of relevant experience either working in agency or in an advisory role within technology, media or telecommunications businesses, consulting experience advising clients in this space, or within the media, political, or regulatory industry with a clear interest in this sector. * An understanding of the interplay between corporates, the financial community, the political and regulatory arena, and media stakeholders. * Significant experience in financial and corporate communications, corporate positioning or campaigning. * Experience developing strategies that can translate into programmes with real sustained impact and supporting listed companies and understanding of investor attitudes is a bonus. * Experience engaging with media, with established media relationships and evidence of engaging successfully with media landscape in the UK and Europe to land high impact results for clients. * Impeccable verbal and written communicator with high EQ levels and an engaging presentation style. * A natural team-worker and relationship-builder who prefers to work in a collegiate way in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment. * Proven project and/or programme management experience. * A balance of creative and analytical thinking, bringing rigor, accuracy, and attention to detail. * A global perspective and able to thrive in international businesses or organisations. OPPORTUNITY Brunswick’s Milan office is looking for an Associate with expertise in financial situations to join our growing team. This is an opportunity to advise leading Italian and international clients on some of their most high-profile and business-critical moments, including M&A, IPOs, capital markets activity, shareholder activism, financial communications, crisis and special situations. As an Associate, you will advise clients and drive execution across accounts, focusing on the delivery of high-quality workstreams and the proactive development of strategic ideas. You will bring a strong understanding of the Italian and international financial, corporate, media and regulatory landscape, and will help clients navigate moments of opportunity, scrutiny and change. You will also play an active role in building Brunswick’s offer in Milan, contributing to new business, developing relationships across the market and working collaboratively with colleagues across practices, sectors and geographies. ABOUT THE ROLE As an Associate, day -to -day you will * Advise clients across a range of corporate, financial and stakeholder situations, with the support of Directors and Partners, drawing on your own experience, judgment and market insight. * Support clients on complex financial situations, including M&A, IPOs, capital markets transactions, shareholder activism, financial results, investor events, restructurings, litigation, crisis communications and other special situations. * Drive execution on client accounts, managing workflow and key deliverables, including messaging, press releases, Q&As, investor presentations, media briefings, stakeholder maps, client memos, shareholder communications, employee and customer communications, and other advisory materials. * Understand complex sector and market issues, including the attitudes and expectations of media, investors, analysts, regulators, policymakers, NGOs and other stakeholder groups. * Manage media and financial stakeholder interactions, using strong knowledge of the Italian and international media landscape, capital markets and broader stakeholder environment. * Develop high-quality advisory documents that demonstrate a clear understanding of clients, their business objectives, market context and reputational challenges. * Contribute to team management and account dynamics, including supporting smooth team transitions, helping coordinate junior team members and acting as a day-to-day mentor to Executives and Assistants. * Play an active role in drafting new business proposals and letters of engagement, including contributing to pitch preparation and participating in pitch meetings. * Build and maintain a network of journalists, advisers, analysts and other relevant stakeholders, proactively identifying new business opportunities and market contacts. * Work closely with Partners, Directors and colleagues across Brunswick’s global offices and specialist offers to help grow the Milan office and strengthen Brunswick’s financial situations offer to clients. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR We are looking for candidates who can bring: * Typically, 6–10 years of relevant experience in strategic communications, financial communications, advisory, consulting, investment banking, investor relations, financial journalism, corporate affairs or a related field. * Strong experience advising clients on financial and corporate situations, including M&A, IPOs, capital markets activity, financial results, shareholder activism, crisis communications and/or other high-stakes situations. * A strong understanding of the Italian corporate, financial, media and regulatory landscape, as well as the interplay between corporates, investors, advisers, regulators, policymakers, media and wider society. * Knowledge of listed company communications, disclosure obligations, financial calendar activities, M&A and IPO processes would be highly valued. * Experience in media handling, major announcements, earnings communications, investor days, capital markets days or transaction-related communications. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Italian and English; native-level Italian and fluent English are required. * The ability to translate complex business and financial issues into clear, compelling communications strategies and materials. * A strong sense of corporate positioning and the ability to develop strategies that can translate into programs with real and sustained impact. * The ability to operate effectively in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and international environment. * Credibility and confidence with senior business leaders, advisers and clients. * A balance of creative and analytical thinking, with rigor, accuracy and strong attention to detail. * Strong project and/or program management experience, including the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines. * A global perspective and the ability to work effectively across offices, sectors and specialist teams. * A natural team worker who enjoys working in a collegiate, ambitious and collaborative environment. WHAT YOU'LL DO In this role, you'll support senior partner managers in deepening Stripe's relationships with the world's top VC firms and accelerators. You'll own the operational and programmatic layer of key partnerships, including credits administration, portfolio onboarding, event planning, and data analysis. This is a cross-functional role with visibility across Stripe's ecosystem, product, and marketing teams. RESPONSIBILITIES * Support senior partner managers in expanding Stripe's relationships within top VC firms by building connections with platform teams, portfolio services, junior partners, and operational stakeholders * Own the operational layer of key partnerships, including credits administration, portfolio company onboarding, and partner communications * Support senior team members with account planning, meeting preparation, briefing documents, and structured follow-ups * Work with data science to track portfolio penetration, credits utilization, and conversion metrics, translating findings into actionable insights for the team * Plan, coordinate, and execute team-hosted and co-hosted events, including VC dinners, founder roundtables, workshops, hackathons, and portfolio showcases * Manage end-to-end event logistics, including venue sourcing, invitations, RSVPs, run-of-show, day-of execution, and post-event follow-up * Build repeatable event playbooks, track event outcomes, and support production of team publications and the startup leads tool WHO YOU ARE We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role.
