About the Role
As an engineer in our Collection Engineering team, you'll build the tools and platform that power Elliptic's intelligence
operation, the engine behind a product used by law enforcement, regulators, and the world's largest financial institutions to
fight crypto crime.
Intelligence flows into Elliptic from everywhere. All of it needs to be ingested, classified, stored, and reviewed before it can
reach our proprietary graph database, the system at the heart of our market-leading products.
Our team owns that pipeline end to end. Working alongside data scientists, analysts and researchers, you'll help design and build
the services and tooling that scale the collection effort, remove bottlenecks, and free our intelligence team to focus on the work
only humans can do.
Your work will get stolen funds traced, ransomware actors identified, and sanctions enforcement enabled. Few engineering roles
connect code and consequence so clearly.
What you will do

It includes enterprise-ready knowledge graphs for accurate, explainable, and governed AI; the most comprehensive, trusted, and easy-to-deploy graph capabilities across any environment and data source; and an unmatched ecosystem trusted by 84 of the Fortune 100 and supported by the world’s largest graph community. Intelligence that works. Results that matter. Built to work everywhere and integrate with everything across every cloud for dynamic, personalized, and autonomous AI systems. We deliver quicker results, contextual knowledge, and solutions that impact customers and employees across the business. Our Vision: At Neo4j, we have always strived to help the world make sense of data. As business, society and knowledge become increasingly connected, our technology promotes innovation by helping organizations to find and understand data relationships. We created, drive and lead the graph database category, and we’re disrupting how organizations leverage their data to innovate and stay competitive. THE ROLE Neo4j is the leader in graph analytics, and our cloud platform is at the heart of powering data-driven innovation for thousands of users worldwide. We are on the lookout for versatile Full-Stack Engineers to help us design and build exceptional features that lower the bar for users to perform graph analytics. In this role, you will own the user-facing surface of those products. You'll help new users get to value quickly by reducing friction in their first workflows, and make our internal tooling effective enough that the rest of the team can support and operate the service confidently. You will work closely with our internal design system at neo4j.design, and collaborate across product, design, backend, and SRE to ship cohesive, end-to-end experiences. This is a mid-to-senior role at the intersection of product UX, graph analytics, and cloud data platforms. WHAT WE VALUE We’re looking for engineers with experience in both frontend and backend development. You should have experience designing APIs, implementing data persistence, and integrating with third-party services. Familiarity with automated testing approaches, from unit testing to full-stack integration tests, is important. A willingness to learn, grow, and tackle new challenges as part of a distributed and collaborative team is essential. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering impactful features that enhance how users interact with Neo4j Aura graph analytics. You’ll work on everything from user-friendly interfaces to robust back-end systems, ensuring our solutions are scalable, reliable, and adaptable to diverse user needs. * Build and evolve the Aura Graph Analytics user experience inside the Neo4j Aura console. * Develop and maintain the in-app GUI for the Neo4j Graph Analytics App for Snowflake, an application that guides users through a multi-step workflow: selecting Snowflake data, projecting them as graphs, configuring and running algorithms, and writing back. * Design the graph-projection and algorithm-configuration UX for users who are not graph experts: clear workflow steps, sensible defaults, validation, and interactive previews of sampled graphs. * Improve the internal support tooling used to inspect the state of Aura Graph Analytics deployments and diagnose customer issues. * Use our shared design system (neo4j.design) so our products feel like one family. * Partner closely with product, design, backend, and SRE to ship cohesive end-to-end experiences across team boundaries. WHAT YOU'LL BRING * Experience building and shipping production-quality software. * Strong TypeScript / JavaScript skills and significant frontend experience in production codebases. * Solid experience with React and modern frontend tooling (such as Tailwind). * Comfort collaborating with designers in Figma (or similar tools) and translating designs into accessible, responsive UI. * A user-centric mindset and a genuine interest in product UX, not just shipping components. * Experience creating API services in Golang, Java or Python BONUS POINTS * Experience working with Spotify’s Backstage framework. * Familiarity with graph data, graph algorithms, or data-science workflows. * Experience with Python-based UI tooling such as Streamlit and AnyWidget. * Experience with Snowflake, Snowpark, and building UIs that run inside a Snowflake Native App. #LI-Hybrid Why Join Neo4j? GROW WITH TREEFERA We are a first-mile intelligence platform, delivering granular visibility into the point of origin in global ag & soft commodity supply chains - where risk, cost, performance and exposure are set. You’ll join a global, cross-functional team that values rigour, curiosity and working close to real-world challenges. Whether your focus is AI, climate, product or operations, you’ll have space to contribute meaningfully and make an impact from day one. If you’re excited by complex problems and want to help reshape how nature is valued in real-world decision-making, we’d love to hear from you. ROLE OVERVIEW You'll own features outright, deciding how to build them, building them, and shipping them — rather than waiting to be told what to do. Working alongside Chris and Liam on the platform team and directly with Product, you'll turn a large app backlog into shipped work, with genuine room to back your own judgement. WHO YOU ARE * You can navigate and evolve the current React and TypeScript codebase, exploring the system unprompted from the start. * You operate as a highly autonomous contributor within a dynamic, empowered team delivering independently and taking full ownership of your work. * You bring senior-level judgement to feature work — taking a feature end to end and leading it through to delivery. * You constructively challenge requirements and AI-generated work using real domain understanding, rather than taking instructions or output at face value. * You thrive in a fast, changing environment — comfortable with rapid delivery and frequently shifting architecture. Desirable requirements (if applicable): * Familiarity with parts of our wider stack — Python, NestJS, MongoDB or PostgreSQL — useful for reading the broader codebase, though we train for these on the job. * Background in shipping data-intensive, geospatial or risk-focused domains, with a preference for fintech or related complex environments. * Comfortable in a Node-based environment, even where much of it is abstracted away day to day. WHAT THE JOB INVOLVES * Own features end to end — from idea through delivery, working directly with Product to decide how to build, build it, and ship it. * Innovation - empowered to innovate on new features and solutions, independent of product specific requirements * Read and evolve the existing React and TypeScript codebase — exploring the system unprompted, and finding and fixing bugs through to production. * Shape the work with Product — turning business needs into your own feature ideas and tickets, and challenging requirements when something isn't worth building. * Apply judgement to AI-assisted work — using real domain understanding to resolve bugs from descriptions or problem statements, and to catch when AI-generated code is heading the wrong way. * Deliver at pace — staying productive as Treefera's architecture and infrastructure shift from month to month. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE Your first 30 days: get oriented in the codebase and the area around it, and start exploring the system unprompted. By 60 days you're making changes across the app with confidence. By 90 days you're going in and delivering changes independently. At six months you can find a bug, deliver the fix and roll it out on your own — adding throughput rather than needing it. By the end of year one you're handed work and run with it, and you're generating your own feature ideas and tickets straight off the back of business needs. WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH You'll report to Chris Watts and work alongside Liam on the platform team, partnering directly with Product Management to decide what to build and to ship features end to end. INTERVIEW PROCESS & WHAT TO EXPECT Recruiter screen (30–45 min) Hiring manager interview (45-60 min) Team & skills session (45-60 min) Final cross-functional or executive conversation (If applicable). (30-45 min) Accessibility: Tell us if you need adjustments, we’ll accommodate. What you’ll gain at Treefera * Build something that matters - join a high-growth climate-tech company applying AI, satellite data and quantitative modelling to real-world challenges across global supply chains, commodities and carbon. * Work on complex, meaningful problems - develop systems that balance risk, resilience, compliance and sustainability, giving organisations a genuine information advantage at global scale. * Collaborate with exceptional people - work alongside scientists, engineers and operators who are leaders in their fields, combining academic rigour with practical, cross-functional product delivery. * Ship and grow in a high-trust environment - experiment, iterate and take thoughtful risks in a team that values autonomy, creativity and continuous learning. * Develop your craft - dedicated space and time to grow your skills toward mastery, tackling technically demanding challenges that push the boundaries of applied AI and environmental data. * Be rewarded for your impact - competitive compensation, equity options, meaningful benefits, and the opportunity to help shape the future of AI-powered risk and environmental intelligence. HR tech is having its AI moment and we’re positioned to own it. Humaans started as a next-gen HRIS taking on large incumbents in a massive market. We’ve since evolved into something even bigger: an AI platform that sits across workforce data and automates the operational layer of HR entirely; the natural progression of what we’ve been building toward. The product is highly differentiated. It’s built around a structured workforce data model that makes AI reliable in an HR context, something no one else has gotten right. Customers notice the difference immediately. We’re backed by Y Combinator, Lachy Groom, Moonfire, Frontline Ventures, and operators who’ve built some of the most consequential software companies of the last decade: the founders of Slack, Figma, and Shopify, and Asana’s former CRO and Head of OpenAI International.
