The role combines technical data analysis, market data expertise, operational ownership and stakeholder support to ensure that core market, reference and alternative datasets are accurate, well governed, correctly permissioned and easily consumable across the firm. The Role The role has a particular focus on Market Data Operations, including Bloomberg and LSEG entitlements, real-time data feeds, licensed vendor products, security master content, instrument reference data, identifier mapping, enterprise data usage tracking, cost attribution, and exchange declaration/audit support. You will help define and improve scalable operating processes, SLAs, runbooks, controls, escalation paths and global coverage models, while proactively identifying data quality issues and automating manual workflows. You will be part of the Data Management team within Man Technology’s Data & AI department, working across London and Sofia. The team is responsible for data ingestion, data governance, security master maintenance, data quality assurance, metadata curation, usage analysis and market data permissions. The function aims to improve Man’s investment data estate by building scalable data operations, accelerating data onboarding, improving data discoverability and enabling faster, smarter decisions for investment teams. Role Responsibilities * Lead the build-out of Market Data Operations as a dedicated function within Data Management, defining SLAs, runbooks, escalation paths, and a global coverage model. * Act as a primary support and escalation point for investment data queries from portfolio managers, researchers, traders, engineers and data scientists across the firm. * Manage market data entitlements across real-time feeds and enterprise data products. * Own and maintain security master content, instrument reference data, and identifier mapping tools, ensuring accuracy and consistency across systems. * Own enterprise data usage tracking, cost attribution, and support exchange declaration/audit compliance. * Proactively identify and resolve data quality issues before they impact downstream users; drive automation of daily operational tasks. * Support broader Data Management responsibilities including data onboarding, metadata curation, and governance as required. Key Competencies Required * 5+ years’ experience in a market data, data operations or data management role at a proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, bank, exchange, or data/technology vendor. * Hands-on administration of Bloomberg and LSEG entitlements. * Familiarity with security master data structures (e.g. BBG, LSEG) and specialist tick data providers is advantageous. * Experience with exchange non-display/derived data declarations and vendor audit processes. * Working proficiency in Python and SQL; knowledge of Linux, Git, Jira preferred. * Experience using AI and LLM tooling to automate or augment manual workflows. * Strong analytical and communication skills, written and oral. COMMISSIONS ANALYST We’re seeking a detail-oriented and specialised COMMISSIONS ANALYST to join our UK Finance team and support the centralisation of third-party commission processing and timely payment remittance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying client records for commissionable amounts due, efficiently processing commission payments through our internal systems and effectively communicating the status of commission payments to both internal and external stakeholders via standardised reporting. This role is crucial in managing cash flow and maintaining strong client and agent relationships. The COMMISSIONS ANALYST will report directly to the Director of Finance, UK.
