This is a rare chance to join a category-defining company at the moment it's scaling globally. The Role The Market Analyst will use energy market expertise, data analysis, and AI-native research methods to help customers understand battery revenues, asset performance, and market change. The role sits between research, product, data, and customers. It is suited to someone who wants to explain what is happening in power markets, whilst building the tools and systems that make analysis faster, sharper, and more scalable. You will produce written articles, videos, and research outputs that make complex market dynamics easier to understand. You’ll be relied upon to discover, explore, visualise, and communicate trends and patterns in numerical data, in ways that provide value to our users. * Experience writing clearly and concisely, with the ability to distil complex topics into accessible, jargon-free language. * Critical thinking skills. At Modo Energy, you will have the platform to become an influential thought leader within the renewable energy space, so you’ll need to develop your own thoughtful opinions and ask insightful questions of those around you. * A builder mentality, with a track record of using AI tools, coding assistants, automations, or data pipelines to improve analytical and research processes. * Comfortable working collaboratively in small teams, with an interest in the pace, ownership, and problem-solving that comes with that dynamic. NICE TO HAVE: * In-depth knowledge of how the electricity system works and how power is traded, with some experience of how battery energy storage systems earn money. * Experience carrying out complex data analysis in Python. * Experience public speaking and/or presenting on video. * Existing network in the energy storage world.
