ABOUT WOLT At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe. Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life. Wolt is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our Promotions team and help build the systems that power how merchants grow through offers, discounts, and incentives on our platform. Promotions at Wolt and DoorDash play a critical role in driving growth for restaurants and brands, enabling them to attract customers, increase conversion, and optimize performance through targeted incentives. This team builds both the platform and user-facing tools that allow partners to create, manage, and measure promotions effectively. In this role, you’ll work across the stack to build scalable systems and intuitive product experiences, while contributing to complex, cross-functional initiatives that span multiple teams and domains. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING * Build and evolve end-to-end promotions systems, from backend services to user-facing tools used by merchants and internal teams. * Design and implement scalable backend services, working with technologies such as Kotlin and Python and Go. * Develop high-quality web applications using React, focused on usability and performance. * Take ownership of large, cross-team initiatives, driving them from ideation through planning, alignment, and delivery. * Work closely with product, design, and business stakeholders to shape solutions and ensure successful outcomes. * Operate effectively in ambiguous environments, bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to complex problem spaces. * Contribute to improving engineering practices, tooling, and development workflows across the team * You’ll have strong ownership, work closely with cross-functional teams across Europe and the US, and be part of a diverse and international team that values collaboration and continuous improvement * Daily usage of AI tools This position is based in London OUR HUMBLE EXPECTATIONS* We’re looking for someone who is both a strong hands-on engineer and a driver of alignment and execution. CORE REQUIREMENTS * Strong full-stack engineering experience, with a solid backend foundation. * Strong experience with React and building product-facing web applications. * Experience with Kotlin, Python and or Go in production environments is strongly preferred. * Proven ability to take ownership in ambiguous environments, driving initiatives from idea to delivery. * Experience leading cross-team projects, including planning, stakeholder alignment, and execution. * Strong communication skills, with the ability to gather feedback, handle differing perspectives, and align stakeholders. * Experience working with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Codex, Claude, agent-based workflows) to improve speed and quality. NICE TO HAVE * Experience with native iOS and/or Android development. WHAT WE OFFER At Wolt, this role gives you the opportunity to build products that are directly used by restaurants and brands to grow their business. Promotions are one of the most visible and impactful levers on the platform, and your work will shape how merchants attract customers, drive sales, and optimize their performance. You’ll work on a mix of backend systems and user-facing tools, owning features end-to-end and seeing your work quickly go live across multiple markets. This is a role where you can build, ship, and iterate fast, while still tackling meaningful challenges around scale, usability, and performance. We offer a strong sense of ownership and autonomy, where engineers are trusted to drive solutions, influence product decisions, and take ideas from concept to production. You’ll also be part of a diverse and supportive team, where collaboration, feedback, and continuous learning are part of how we work every day. Our compensation follows a total compensation model, combining a competitive base salary with DoorDash RSUs. OUR COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION We’re committed to growing and empowering a more inclusive community within our company, industry, and cities. That’s why we hire and cultivate diverse teams of people from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We believe that true innovation happens when everyone has room at the table and the tools, resources, and opportunity to excel.
