Senior Financial Data Analyst, Merchant Finance & Treasury Data Adyen is looking for a Senior Financial Data Analyst to join the Merchant Finance & Treasury Data team in Amsterdam. As a Financial team, we help our Tech teams gather the data necessary to update our wide range of Financial Products. The ideal candidate is someone who is able to build a narrative and see the story hidden within the data, able to automate reporting while collaborating with internal Financial stakeholders. What you’ll do * Data Analysis: determine the necessary data required to solve a wide variety of business problems, draw conclusions and recommendations for optimizations and automation. * Delivery of Business Insights: share findings, measure impact, and inform the areas in our operations that can be further optimized. Provide insights into our key financial and operational processes that influence decision making and help Adyen scale further. * Translate & Influence: clearly communicate complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences, showcasing your impact across our global teams. * Cross-team collaboration: ensure alignment and adoption between key stakeholders like Data Engineering and Finance teams. * Process improvement: monitor the effectiveness of implemented controls, contribute to process improvement, and scale our fraud prevention framework. * Mentoring: You will mentor and help grow your team, both regarding technical skills as well as business-wide decision-making.   Who you are * You have 6+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in a fast-paced, product-focused environment. * You are proficient in Python and SQL and have strong expertise with BI tools like Looker. Any previous experience with big data tooling (i.e. PySpark) is a plus. * You are able to structure projects and prioritize tasks and solutions based on impact and effort across several cross-functional teams. * You are an excellent communicator in English, able to lead discussions effectively with both technical and nontechnical audiences. * You are hands-on and curious about the details of our banking and payments infrastructure. Let’s go!     YOUR MISSION: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Asset & Liability Management (ALM) Team. This role focuses on developing impactful dashboards using Metabase, automating ALM reporting processes, and building efficient scripts for specific data queries and transformations. You will play a key part in enabling data-driven decision-making for the ALM function by designing scalable data solutions and visualizations.   WHAT YOU’LL DO: * Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Metabase for ALM reporting and analysis * Automate ALM reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of critical reports * Write efficient, scalable scripts (in Python, SQL, etc.) to extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets from various sources * Collaborate with ALM analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and availability for downstream applications and reporting * Optimize data pipelines and workflows for performance and reliability. Implement version control and documentation for dashboards and scripts   WHO YOU ARE: * The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineering or BI Developer role with a strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and working with large datasets * Proven experience in building and deploying dashboards in Tableau and Metabase * Understanding of financial concepts and blockchain fundamentals * Experience with ETL tools, workflow automation, and version control systems (e.g., Git). What you’ll do Own the global UW tables (canonical facts/dimensions for applications, decisions, features, repayments, delinquency) with clear SLAs for freshness, completeness, accuracy, and data lineage. Design for AI-agents and humans: consistent IDs, canonical events, explicit metric definitions, rich metadata (schemas, data dictionaries), and machine-readable data contracts. Build & run pipelines (batch + streaming) that feed UW scoring, real-time decisioning, monitoring, and underwriting optimization. Instrument quality & observability (alerts, audits, reconciliation, backfills) and drive incident/root-cause reviews. Partner closely with Credit Portfolio Management, Policy teams, Modeling teams, and treasury and finance teams to land features for RUE and consumer-centric models, plus regulatory and management reporting.
