About the Role
You will join an agile team building AI-powered analytics solutions for intelligent connected devices. In this role, you will help create computer vision applications that need to perform reliably in varied real-world environments and use cases. You will work across the full product lifecycle and contribute to solutions where software quality, performance, and robustness matter. Job DescriptionYou will develop and maintain computer vision and AI-based software applications.
You will design and implement software for Linux-based embedded systems using C++ and Python.
You will improve algorithms with a focus on accuracy, robustness, and performance.
You will take part in the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, validation, and maintenance.
You will use a data-driven approach to analyze results and continuously improve solution quality.

RequirementsMaster's degree in Computer Science, Engineering Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience with, or a strong interest in, Computer Vision, AI, or Machine Learning.
Programming experience in C++, Python, and Linux environments.
A strong interest in software engineering, algorithm development, and complex technical problem-solving.
The ability to work well with others in a collaborative development environment.

What you'll do as a Computer Vision Application Engineer within AI and Analytics: Our team takes full responsibility for the analytics functionality in the Camera, including solution design, development, validation, launch and maintenance. Accuracy and performance are key aspects of our solution. We are looking for adding several people to the team so depending on your profile, experience and interests the job can be tailored. We are mainly working with software development on Linux-based systems, developing computer vision based AI and Analytics applications that are shipped preinstalled with most Axis Cameras. Axis Object Analytics (AOA) is our main application, and we are currently rebuilding that application to enable a much more flexible offering towards our customers. Accuracy of our applications is a big part and a challenge. Our solutions are used in a huge variety of cameras, usecases and scenes, and we are looking to strengthen the team with a few people with experience in applying a data-driven development approach and ensure good accuracy and performance across scenes, environments and scenarios. We are working on the vertical in the software stack. Mostly using C++ in the backend and Typescript and React in the frontend. We use AI tools for development and work extensively with Github Copilot. Cyber security is important for us. Git and Gerrit is used for revision handling and review of the C++ code. Who are you? You are an experienced or newly graduated software developer or computer vision developer feeling ready for the next step in your career.
