PinMeTo helps large multi-location companies manage their business information across hundreds of online services, through a SaaS platform that puts businesses in control of their location data and lets them manage online interactions with customers. Our offering is a set of web applications developed internally by our Product department, headquartered in Malmö, Sweden. The Platform team owns and operates the PinMeTo Platform: the products that manage location data for our customers' physical locations, and the integrations that keep that data in sync across the search, maps, and social platforms customers rely on (Google, Apple, Meta, Bing). We're primarily an operational team. Keeping the platform running, healthy, and within its service commitments is the core of the job, ahead of building new features. Security, availability, and data correctness come first, since we're the system of record for our customers' location data. We're looking to strengthen the team with an experienced software engineer who can work across a wide range of problems: AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, database clusters, third-party API integrations, and full-stack application development. WHAT MAKES THIS POSITION INTERESTING? 🏡 Join a great work environment built on people and collaboration - we work together from the office in small teams, with a strong work/life balance and lots of opportunity to learn from a diverse group of colleagues and a culture where helping each other succeed is highly valued. 🌟 You will be part of a team of highly skilled engineers who prioritize working together over someone handing out tasks. This collaborative approach gives everyone on the team the chance to both learn from each other and influence the team. You will have ample opportunity to shape both the team and the work you do, letting you maximize your impact and personal long term growth. 💡 The team's responsibilities span infrastructure, security and compliance, developer experience, day-to-day operations, and incident response, plus ownership of shared applications for user authentication and authorization. That means exposure to the full range of the job, including the less visible parts: triaging reported issues, handling third-party outages we didn't cause but are still accountable for, and meeting external deadlines. That variety is also where the learning happens. WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN JOINING PINMETO? 7 days: Your first week will be focused on getting to know your team and our system, setting up your development environment, and pushing your first (small) change to production. Your onboarding buddy and your team will be supporting you from day 1, making sure that you get started as smoothly as possible. 30 days: Continuing in your first month you will focus on learning about our codebase, products, and infrastructure while participating in whatever initiative the team is working on, pair working as much as possible with your teammates to contribute to what is being delivered. During this time we also encourage you to spend time learning the parts of our tech stack that you might not have previous experience with. 90 days: A quarter in you should be able to apply your previous experience to the specific context of your team and what you are working on together, thereby increasing your impact by contributing to everything from technical decisions to how the team works. You will also be able to take ownership of driving larger tasks to completion. 365 days: By this time your contribution to the team is indistinguishable from that of the other software engineers that you work together with. You will have been able to leverage your strengths and experience to become proficient with work that you are used to, and together with the team you will have learned the things that were new to you at the beginning. IS THIS THE ROLE FOR YOU? Do you recognize yourself below? We would love to hear from you! * 2-5 years of experience developing and managing web applications in a cloud environment. * Enjoy working with both backend and frontend code, with a strong interest in DevOps and system management. * Solid knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, MongoDB, and related web development technologies. * Proficient user of AI based coding assistants such as Claude, Cursor, or Codex, with experience of optimizing your workflow, creating skills, and other ways to work productively with these tools. * Comfortable with a mix of planned and reactive work. Production incidents, third-party outages, and urgent fixes are a normal part of this job, not an exception to it. * Proven experience picking up new technologies, with an adaptable and pragmatic approach to choosing between them. For instance, we have some Elixir backend code, and we also use Elm for frontend development and expect this to be new for you. It was the same for everyone else who started here. * Prefer pair programming and collaborating with your team at the office over working alone at home. * Comfortable communicating in English and looking forward to joining a culturally diverse company (we are 11 nationalities in Product alone). PRACTICALITIES * This is a full time role based in Malmö, Sweden. * We have an office first working environment, so we assume you live in or around Malmö or are willing to commute. * To promote a healthy work/life balance and professional development, we have: - Flexible working hours. - One paid hour per week to use for exercise and workout, perfectly paired with your wellness allowance. - A learning environment where we have regular hackdays, knowledge sharing forums, workshops, retrospectives, and other opportunities to grow and develop your skills. INTERESTED? NEXT STEPS We’re excited to hear about your interest in this role, and look forward to hearing from you! We encourage you to apply sooner rather than later. We go through applications continuously as they come in and are looking to fill the position as soon as we find the right candidate. The process, in short: 1. If we think you could be a match, we set up an introductory online meeting. 2. If there's mutual interest, you complete an assessment through our partner Alva Labs. 3. Two interviews follow, both at our office: one to evaluate mutual fit, one technical to assess competence. 4. If we believe we're a great match for each other, we discuss an agreement with you. Throughout this process your main contact person will be Linnea Sjöquist, our HR Business Partner (linnea.sjoquist@pinmeto.com). If you have any questions about the role or process please feel free to get in touch with us. WE LOOK FORWARD TO WELCOMING YOU TO PINMETO!
Join our newly formed AI Product Discovery team and work closely with skilled developers in building the next-generation search experience within Voyado Elevate. Voyado Elevate already has a powerful and proven search engine. Now, we are adding an intelligent layer on top, an AI-driven Product Discovery Agent for Search that transforms how users interact with products, navigation, and intent. As a new team, you will be part of shaping our ways of working, defining our architecture, and setting the technical roadmap for how AI agents should integrate with and enhance our search platform. ABOUT THE ROLE AND DAY-TO-DAY This role sits at the intersection of backend development, AI engineering, and product innovation. As a subsystem team in an organization inspired by Team Topologies, we collaborate closely with other product teams while owning the AI Product Discovery layer. Our mission is to build intelligent agents that orchestrate search recommendations and navigation, interpret user intent, and create a completely new discovery interface experience. The role involves hands-on development, writing code primarily in Java and/or Python, and designing and orchestrating AI agents. You will work with prompt engineering and structured output optimization to ensure high-quality, reliable results, while building smart integrations between LLMs and our search engine. A key part of the work is continuously improving response times and reducing inference costs to create scalable and efficient solutions. You will also contribute to the technical roadmap and architectural decisions, proactively prototype new ideas, and evaluate emerging AI technologies to ensure we stay at the forefront of innovation. Some things will vary depending on product needs and experiments. Some things are constant: SOME OF THE THINGS YOU AND THE TEAM WILL BE UP TO: * Design and build AI agents for search and product discovery, using Java and/or Python. * Work hands-on with prompt engineering and continuous optimization * Map agent logic towards our existing search infrastructure * Optimize for latency, scalability, and cost-efficiency (LLM usage, orchestration, caching, etc.) * Evaluate new technologies in a rapidly evolving AI landscape * Contribute to architecture discussions and long-term technical direction * Write production-grade code and monitor performance in real environments * Design and implement APIs And when the time comes when you need a break, why don't you spend some time in the gym, tinker in our puzzle corner, or challenge our Åre office in Call of Duty on our PlayStation 5? 🎮 SO, WHO ARE YOU? You don’t just follow AI trends, you actively build with them. Agentic coding is already a natural part of how you develop software, and collaborating with LLMs feels as intuitive as writing code yourself. Writing prompts to generate, refactor, and reason about code is a natural extension of your engineering workflow. At the same time, your interest goes beyond just experimenting as you thrive on building real products. You enjoy turning ideas into robust, production-ready systems and combining AI-native development patterns with solid software engineering principles. And since this is a newly formed team, you’re excited not only to build the product but also to shape how we build it, driving evaluation frameworks, testing strategies for LLM-based systems, and establishing pragmatic, high-quality ways of working for AI-driven development. Besides those personal skills, we believe you have the following: * A Master's degree in Computer Science, or a comparable industry career * Strong backend development experience * Practical experience working with LLMs and AI APIs * Experience or strong interest in prompt engineering and agent design * An understanding of performance optimization and cost-aware system design * And most importantly, passion for what you do, innovation & continuous improvement If you are interested in algorithmic problem-solving, that's meritorious. SOME OF THE TECHNOLOGIES YOU’LL GET TO WORK WITH Voyado Elevate is built with Java and kept up to date with the latest version * Java * Python * LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic or Similar) * AWS * Github Actions SO, WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? 🍬 * A lovely worksite in Lund, we just opened our Voyado house on Gasverksgatan. * Flexible working hours and a hybrid work approach. We're on-site at least three days a week * Work-life balance – We don't have a long work-hours culture; we value results over hours worked * As we strive for our employees to share Voyado’s passions and goals, you should demand no less from us. With regular one-on-ones, we make sure your needs and career have a great future at Voyado * Joining an engaged team and colleagues with a knowledge-sharing and friendly culture Some of our benefits: * A health hour each week, use it for walks, running, or working out – whatever you need to energize * Our own gym at the office * 30 days of vacation so that you can spend time with family and friends * 5000 SEK in wellness allowance * Encouragement to further develop personally and professionally with certifications, meetups, etc. * Beneficial bike lease, including e-bikes * Your choice of phone and gadget package READY TO FIND OUT MORE? Lovely! 🎉 Before one applies it can always feel like you need a better resume, more polish, or just another year of experience, but we say if you think this sounds like a place where you can shine don't hesitate to send in your resume! VACATION PERIOD! As we are heading out for the vacation period, feedback on your application might take a little longer than usual. Don't hesitate to send in your application, though; we'll do our best in getting back to you as soon as possible! 🌴
