🙌 The Role
This Finance Operations Assistant role reports into the Finance Operations Manager. This role is an entry into Finance and is
ideal for someone who is looking to develop their career in Finance. This role will play a crucial role in supporting the team by
processing our customers financial transactions, processing our business expenses and invoices and ensuring a smooth running of
day-to-day financial operations.

This role is an entry into Finance and is ideal for someone who is looking to develop their career in Finance. This role will play a crucial part in supporting the team by ensuring a smooth running of day-to-day financial processes. What you’ll be getting up to: * Support the preparation of the monthly management accounts and annual financial statements. * Prepare monthly analysis of our reports to identify trends and anomalies. * Maintain and update financial records, including data entry into accounting systems. * Assist with monthly reconciliations and resolving discrepancies. * Assist with audits and requests for financial information by providing accurate documentation. * Act as a key point of contact for finance-related queries, building effective relationships and delivering excellent support to colleagues across the business. * Work with our wider Finance Teams to help drive business performance. Transactional Finance Operations Assistant (Billing & Credit Control) Manchester Role Overview We’re looking for a Finance Operations Assistant to join our Manchester office, supporting both billing and credit control activities. This is a key role within the placement journey, focused on resolving queries, ensuring invoices are accurate and issued on time, and supporting effective cash collection through strong communication with clients and internal teams. Key Responsibilities * Raise and issue invoices accurately and in line with client requirements * Support credit control activity, including chasing outstanding payments and sending statements * Act as a central point for billing and payment queries, resolving issues efficiently * Process credit notes, re-invoicing and ad-hoc charges where required * Maintain accurate customer and billing data across systems * Work closely with Sales and Onboarding teams to resolve missing or incorrect information * Monitor POs and flag when updates or extensions are required * Support reporting on billing, queries and outstanding debt * Ensure all activity is completed in line with company processes and deadlines About You * Strong attention to detail and organisation skills * Clear communicator, confident working with both clients and internal stakeholders * Proactive and solution-focused when handling queries * Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines * Basic finance or administration experience preferred (billing, invoicing, credit control or similar) What You’ll Get * Opportunity to develop across both billing and credit control * Exposure to a fast-paced, international business * Supportive team environment with clear progression opportunities * A competitive base salary of £31,500.00 - £33,000.00 dependent on experience plus a performance related bonus! YOUR MISSION Position Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will support the day-to-day accounting and finance operations by processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate master data, and ensuring the integrity of accounting records. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in finance within an international and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: * Support the daily accounting and finance operations. * Support supplier invoices using SAP Business One (SAP B1). * Review, verify, and process employee travel and expense claims in accordance with company policies. * Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. * Create and maintain vendor and customer master data in SAP Business One. * Support and maintain cost centers and other financial master data. * Assist with month-end closing activities and support the preparation of financial reports. * Ensure accounting records are accurate, and properly documented. * Liaise with internal departments to resolve invoice issues, payments. * Support internal and external audits by preparing the required documentation. * Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes and procedures. YOUR PROFILE Qualifications & Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. * 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or finance support role is preferred. Recent graduates with relevant internships are also encouraged to apply. * Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes. * Experience working with SAP Business One (SAP B1) is highly desirable. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. * Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and a team-oriented mindset.
