At Auto Solutions we invest and have an exciting journey ahead of us. Currently, we have approx. 70 team members within Auto Solutions. The Complete Vehicle Engineering team consists of 12 experienced team members. We work in an agile setup in the intersection where hardware meets software. As part of our systems engineering team, your focus will be on leading system development and tailoring solutions for our customers' business needs.
Depending on your background and interests, the position can be shaped into one or a combination of following tracks.
Technical Lead - focus on technical delivery, drive and coordinate complex cross-functional work to ensure the best delivery with respect to performance and quality. You help the organization reach goals by creating clarity, enabling collaboration, and leading system integration activities.
System Design - focus on translate customer needs into clear, actionable system requirements and design. You define how the system should work end‑to‑end, balancing trade‑offs and risks. The combination of creativity and structure is key to success.
Area Lead - focus on system development within a dedicated area, e.g. load handling, navigation and tooling. These areas include technology related to e.g. localization, path planning, perception, and sensor fusion. You will guide technology, roadmap, and system architecture for these areas.
Your responsibilities as System Engineer will include:
Development of system solutions for autonomous vehicles (forklifts). A safety-critical system including both hardware and software.
Contribute during entire development process, from pre-study to production.
Cross-functional collaboration, including interaction with customers and product management.
Contribute to continuous refinement of our way of working.
We're looking for people who bring a mix of the following skills and experiences:
A degree in Applied Physics, Electrical / Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience within the field of systems engineering, including concept development and pre-studies.
Experience within a relevant field preferably related to software engineering, e.g. design of autonomous vehicles, robotics, automation system.
Experience of technical leadership, e.g. for products, platforms, projects or programs.
Proficiency in both spoken and written English. Proficiency in Swedish is a plus.
You love to solve cross-functional technical challenges, combining a systematic approach with business focus. Staying updated on industry trends, you actively contribute to defining strategies for systems and components. Your strong communication skills help foster a positive and supportive team environment. As a full stack developer at Toyota Material Handling Europe, you will join one of our cross‑functional product teams and work across the full technology stack. In this role, you will:
Contribute to technical direction, system design and architectural decisions within your team.
Work hands‑on with modern microservice development in C#/.NET and frontend development in React/TypeScript.
Contribute to our platform modernization, including cloud migration, event‑driven architecture, observability, and improved scalability.
Take ownership of a functional domain and guide both junior and mid‑level developers through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
Ensure engineering excellence through code reviews, automation, CI/CD, and best practices.
Collaborate closely with product management and UX to shape features end‑to‑end.
We work in an agile, SAFe‑inspired setup with strong team autonomy and clear product ownership.
Operational responsibilities such as on‑call duty are limited and shared, supported by high observability and automated monitoring to minimize manual effort

The heart of our work is I_Site - A Toyota global fleet management system used by customers worldwide to understand and optimize their operations.

Designing scalable, distributed cloud systems using Azure.
Handling large volumes of telematics and sensor data in near real‑time.
Ensuring high uptime for customers with 24/7 operations.
Building a platform that has been evolving since 2008 but is now undergoing a major transformation.

Your Profil
We believe you have:
A Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
5+ years of professional software development, with a senior level of autonomy.
Deep expertise in C#/.NET and experience with microservice architectures.
Solid experience with cloud platforms, ideally Azure.
Strong skills in relational and NoSQL databases (SQL, MongoDB, CosmosDB).
Experience with modern frontend frameworks (preferably React).
A strong understanding of agile ways of working.
Fluency in English and ability to communicate in spoken Swedish.
You enjoy taking responsibility and have a natural ability to think in terms of systems and architecture. You take a pragmatic approach to your work and thrive in a collaborative environment, where sharing ideas and working together are key. The Position
At Toyota Material Handling Europe, we are accelerating our journey towards becoming a data-driven and AI-enabled enterprise. As part of this transformation, we are looking for a Data Scientist with strong engineering capabilities to join our Data & Advanced Analytics organization. In this role, you will focus on designing, developing, deploying, and operating AI/ML solutions at enterprise scale, leveraging Snowflake and Snowpark as the core platform. You will play a key role in moving from analytics-driven insights to production-grade, AI-powered solutions embedded in business processes. Your Responsibility
As a Data Scientist in our team, you will work across the full AI/ML lifecycle:
Data Science & AI Solution Development
Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and advanced analytics solutions, owning the full lifecycle from exploration to production
Apply statistical and AI/ML techniques to solve business problems, continuously improving models to maximize impact
MLOps & Engineering Practices
Operationalize models into scalable, production-grade solutions using MLOps best practices (CI/CD, automation, monitoring, and retraining)
Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of ML solutions in collaboration with Data Engineering teams
Data Platform & Collaboration
Work with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake) to build scalable data and AI solutions in close collaboration with cross-functional teams
Translate business needs into technical solutions and contribute to shared frameworks, standards, and best practices
Business Impact & Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with stakeholders and product teams to identify use cases, deliver insights, and drive data-informed decisions
Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Governance & Continuous Improvement
Contribute to responsible AI, data quality, and governance practices across the ML lifecycle
Stay up to date with industry trends and support the growth of a strong, data-driven culture
Your Profile
Proven experience as a Data Scientist (or similar role), with hands-on expertise in developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with experience in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and ML frameworks
Solid understanding of the full ML lifecycle, including model development, deployment, and monitoring
Experience working with modern data platforms and cloud environments, preferably Snowflake
Knowledge of MLOps practices, including versioning, CI/CD pipelines, and model performance monitoring
Ability to translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions and communicate insights clearly to stakeholders
Strong collaborative mindset, with experience working in cross-functional teams alongside Data Engineers, Analysts, and business stakeholders
Curious and proactive approach, staying up to date with the latest developments in AI/ML and contributing to a data-driven culture
Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
Fluent in English (Swedish is a plus)
