that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.
The Operations team is looking for a Head of Operations to own reliable, scalable, and efficient operations across all The
Exploration Company sites (Munich, Bordeaux, Torino, Houston and test locations).
Reporting to the COO, you will set the strategy for our buildings and workplaces, drive operational processes together with
Digital and Quality (including EN9100), and ensure that ESG reporting and sustainability are embedded in how we build and run our
sites.
You won’t write every process yourself, but you will be the one who aligns stakeholders, sets priorities and standards, and makes
sure things are implemented and actually used.

ABOUT THE TEAM You will be reporting to the Head of Accounting. YOUR MISSION Overview The cost/inventory accountant position is responsible for all aspects of Manufacturing and Production costing analysis and inventory for all business locations. The cost accountant is responsible for comparing standard cost to actual cost and identifying and explaining variances by customer, part number and production jobs. The cost accountant must also work closely with engineering and manufacturing personnel to resolve variances and adjust Bills of Materials (BOM’s). RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop and maintain cost accounting system that ensures accurate costing and inventory levels * Produce daily production, variance and ad hoc reports * Coordinate physical inventory counts and post adjustments based on results * Review and analyze standard and actual costs for variances and prepare reports * Prepare, analyze and report monthly gross margin analysis by customer, part number and production jobs * Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services to determine effects on costs * Study and collect data to determine costs of business activities such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor * Responsible for account reconciliation of physical inventories and cycle counts * Assist in month-end and year-end closing by analyzing inventory and preparing supplemental reports as needed * Work on special projects as required QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or similar and three (3) to five (5) years in manufacturing cost accounting experience is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: * Proficiency in Excel, experience in manipulating large databases a plus * Significant hands-on experience using an integrated ERP system * Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory and cost accounting * Understanding of local GAAP (IFRS is a plus) as it applies to a manufacturing environment is required * Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * Extraordinary interpersonal skills to work in conjunction with other departments. * Must be a team player who also works well independently. * Must be able to analyze data, draw conclusions, interpret results, and make recommendations. * Strong communication skills in both German and English NICE TO HAVE Talent Contact: Sally Grütte-Pad, Interim Lead TA Partner, via talent@stark-defence.com

The role - your passion * Own the Maintenance & Repair (M&R) budget and ensure cost-efficient, high-quality repairs across the market such as Repair Strategy, Workshop Network, Spare Parts Inventory * Define repair strategies per vehicle based on damage reports and operational priorities. * Maintain strong vehicle availability by coordinating workshop capacity, scheduling, and spare parts flow. * Build and optimize the internal and external workshop network to improve turnaround times and cost efficiency. * Lead and develop station repair teams, ensuring consistent performance and technical capability, damage detection rates and sparte parts inventory. * Track key KPIs such as repair cost, time, and damage detection accuracy to drive continuous improvement. What You Need To Surf The Wave With Us * Degree or Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or similar technical field. * 5+ years of experience in fleet maintenance, repair, or workshop management. * 2+ years of direct people management experience, preferably in a technical and operational environment * Strong analytical and budgeting skills with a focus on efficiency and quality. * Confident leader with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment; travel to internal stations and external vendors within the market required. * Fluency in German and English, written and spoken * Proficient in maintenance or fleet management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
